1 What makes you think the signs and wonders like the early church had should be going
on now?...please dont quip nonsense like God doesnt change,,Jesus is the same y...stuff
God is not a respecter of persons, or stuff like that. But be honest.

I am assuming by signs and wonders you are referring to miracles? (am I wrong?)
If not.....I think they can happen even now if it is Gods will. I also think our faith is an important part of that. However, I wouldn't say I think these things "should" be going on now...it is however the Holy Spirit choses to work. We can ask, we can recieve, but we don't HAVE to recieve. IMHO...Churches that make this the whole (or even the biggest part) of their ministry are most likely in the entertainment business.

Yes. Alot...by the apostles and in the early churches.

3 Do you think all believers did signs and wonders? Probably not.

4 What purpose would there be in signs and wonders? I believe Christ performed miracles as evidence of who He was and they were also common with the Apostles so followers would know they were sent by Him.

5 why do you think so many millions today are running after signs and wonders? Because Harry Potter has alot of fans?

Must be the real deal Zone from the looks of that book cover :rolleyes:. Let me think for a sec here.....THE ACTS OF THE APOSTLES......THE ACTS OF THE APOSTLES..... written down and recorded in canon. Inspired by the Spirit of God. Hmmm.......hey wait a sec ! How come the acts of modern day apostles aren't written, recorded and made canon as well ? Isn't God the same yesterday, today and tomorrow ? Is God throwing us a curveball ? Or could there maybe be no such thing as a modern day apostle ? Gonna have to think on this a bit

Some follow Jesus for the "bag of tricks" and not just Jesus. Alot of people came for the bread and the fish after they heard feed was on I'm sure lol

Even Jesus couldnt do many miracles where the people had no faith. you do not believe in signs and wonders, you will probably see none. However once the falling away takes place and the true remnant rises up, and begins to produce fruit after their own kind, then they who do know their God will do exploits.

Jesus perform miracles to prove he was the Son of God.

Jesus did not just heal the sick and raise the dead for the express purpose of taking suffering away, but to produce the credentials of his kingdom. Yet he did have compassion on the people and felt their suffering enough to relieve them by showing his concern through love.

In Matthew 8:10,13 Jesus healed a centurion servant without even being present. He healed by touch and from a distance demonstrating that He is Lord of space and time.

The Pharisees objected saying He was speaking blasphemies “only God can forgive sins" (Mt.9:6), and they were right. To dispense a legal pardon could only be done through a sacrifice and from God. To show that He, as the Son of man, had authority and that He was God, He healed the man of his palsy. He healed what they could see, proving He was able to forgive His sins that they couldn’t see.

The whole point to Jesus performing the miracles was to non believers so they would know he is the ONE, the big cheese!

That is why the gifts were passed on to the apostles. It was PHYSICAL PROOF BEFORE THE WRITTEN BIBLE WAS COMPLETED.

To believe that the are no more miracles ect.... is an extra biblical belief seeing as that Bible never says they have ceased. I am one of those crazy people that only believes what one can prove with scripture.

The things God does will always be right with me. When the Apostles did signs and wonders the ones without faith saw them too. And that line is super old by the way.

Takes a brave person to say if someone who has been prayed for, being delivered of whatever sickness, for another to say it's not God doing it but the devil. There are many testimonies, even I can write a few with what iv seen God do, not to convince anyone here though, but I will always encourage people to lift their faith and hope that God can do anything.
Because i have witnessed such things, am I a agent of Satan?? God forbid anyone to judge me, He knows me better than any of you. Then again, they did it to Jesus so anythings possible lol
