No one has to say it outright but you will find the tendency is promoted by OSAS....

All who say teh law is abolished and has no power over them are deceived and passing on deception.

Jesus Christ teaches us,Himself, exactly how the law is since He gave us salvation and the Good News.
We are not saved to a spirit of bondage but to the Spirit of adoption whereby we cry Abba Father. Under the law Israel never dreamed of addressing Jehovah God as Father. We as adopted sons of God call God our Father.

You believe that leads to wanton sinfulness? You underestimate the power of cleansing of Gods Holy Spirit. You know the flood did not change the power of sin? Sin continued after the flood. Only the blood of Christ changes the power of sin and makes us righteous.

Lets walk in the victory that Christ has purchased for us.

To my knowledge, no one on this forum has ever said they "believe sin as a way of living is fine because you are saved by grace".
If you have seen this posted, please show us where and who.
I have never said that because I do not believe that.
With that said, I do from time to time sin because I still live in a fleshly body.
Not proud of it. Ashamed to admit it. But fact is fact.
When the Holy Spirit convicts me, I repent, ask forgiveness, and my Father forgives.
Then I move on.
Here is the problem with many. Some believe they live without sin. Some believe to sin is to lose salvation. Some believe one must keep the Law to be saved or to remain saved. Some actually believe they do or can keep the Law.

No one have ever kept the Law except Jesus. YOU cannot keep the Law. To break one single ordinance of the Law is to break the Law.

Should a child of God strive to live a holy life, of course they should. If any one has ever said differently, please point out that person and their post.

Stop trying to make every one who disagrees with you and your insistence on keeping the Law as some one who believes living in sin is ok.
Just not true.
Please learn to use the quote system properly so we can see your answer apart from the original post.

You know certainly well no one here has even suggested such a thing other than yourself....stop trolling and pay attention to what you claim to have read. It is written only a fool responds without hearing the declaration.

No proof, just your assumption.
And no, it is not promoted by those who believe OSAS.
To say so is a lie and lying is breaking the Law.
The proof is written th any of the threads on Law or OSAS or on the actual teaching of Jesus Christ, try reading some before jumping in with no gear.

do any of you ever just 'stop'? and 'receive'?
have you been so indoctrinated that your hearts are 'closed' to 'new-revelation'???,
perhaps from those who have experienced something 'more' than where you are coming from???

stand-back, and have an 'open-heart', it is something to be coveted, in an Holy way... ?

That's right, a true believer doesn't believe sin is a way of living. He continues to sin every day but fights against it every day until he dies. We have the forgiveness of our past, present and future sins in Christ but we don't have the power to stop sinning altogether until we receive our glorified bodies after death.

So believers don't sin as a way of life, we sin because we don't have the power to completely stop. Jesus is the only One who has that power, He helps us to fight against our corrupt flesh during our life but we don't get the victory over it until we die.
What about Romans 6:6

How can you measure the authenticity of an experience in order to presuppose that people should take advice from those that have "experienced more"?

How do you determine these experiences as trustworthy?

Does that mean that if you can't stop sinning you're not meant to be saved?

Or does it mean that the evidence for salvation is a sinless existence?

it's really very simple - The Holy Spirit will be the deciding 'factor' in your heart, always...

As long as we are in this body of death we will sin. We do not want to sin but the flesh is weak. We do have an advocate with the Father so when we confess our sin we are restored to the ideal relationship with the Father through the Son.

The evidence of our salvation is the abiding presence of the Holy Spirit leading us to confess our sin and seek to be in fellowship with God. Now we are saved from the penalty of sin and one day we will be saved from the presence of sin in eternity.

When we are glorified together with Christ we will be saved from the presence of sin and will be like Him.

How do these people, for example know that your experience or that of another individual is due to the Holy Spirit being present if say, they don't have the Holy Spirit "yet"? Is there another way to tell that one source of advice is better than other if you don't have the Holy Spirit yet?

There has been only one man who lived a sinless life and that was Jesus.
You are not sinless.

You just insinuated that if you are saved you won't want sin, but yet you will still sin?

How then, can you be sure that this Holy Spirit is present if you still sin? Regardless wether you want it or not, isn't that a little vague and unreliable to find evidence of the Holy Spirit in you?

My point is that some days our attitudes can change and it varies greatly through out the years.

i.e. Backsliding, is that because you were never a true Christian or because you lost the Holy Spirit ?

what an amazing, insightful post, 'not'!!!
you are well on your 'way' of God's Holy path -

yet,
we all who are called, chosen, elected, have our 'duty' set before us,
to 'walk as He instructed us to do - and this eventually becomes our total focus,
and that is, 'to WALK in His Light'...if we don't do this, then we are just 'fooling ourselves',
and become just another 'member' of the 'pew'...

Is there a way to tell if you are an elect? Other than the Holy Spirit? I mean, many different "types" of Christians claim to have the Holy Spirit. Do they all have it?

Oh I get it, I can't be part of the club unless I was made to be part of the club, in which occasion I will already know about my membership in the club, or inevitably find out in the future before my life is over.

Anyone else that wants to be part of the club will know it automatically, if they are future or current members. If they don't already know they just weren't meant to be in it, or they will find out at a later time on their own since the only way is to have the Holy Spirit which is only given to the club members.

That makes sense now.

Are you saying that the only people that claim to have the Holy Spirit have it? Or is there a chance that some may be false claims?

Does critical thinking not give here? Is it heritcal to think?
