1 Peter 4:1-8, “Therefore, since Messiah suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, because he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, so that he no longer lives the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but according to the desire of Yah. For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the desire of the nations, having walked in indecencies, lusts, drunkenness, orgies, wild parties, and abominable idolatries, in which they are surprised that you do not run with them in the same flood of loose behavior, blaspheming, who shall give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. For this reason the Good News was also brought to those who are dead, so that, whereas they are judged according to men in the flesh, they might live according to Yah in the spirit. But the end of all has drawn near. Therefore be sober-minded, and be attentive in the prayers. And above all have fervent love for one another, because love covers a great number of sins.”
James 4:7-10, “So then subject yourselves to Yah. Resist the adversary and he shall flee from you. Draw near to Yah and He shall draw near to you. Cleanse hands, sinners. And cleanse the hearts, you double-minded! Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to dejection. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Master, and He shall lift you up."

And let endurance have a perfect work, so that you be perfect and complete, lacking in naught. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of Yah, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it shall be given to him. For that man should not think that he shall receive whatever from the Master – he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways."
James 4:3, "You ask and do not receive, because you ask evilly, in order to spend it on your pleasures."

But each one is enticed when he is drawn away by his own desires and trapped. hen, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin. And sin, when it has been accomplished, brings forth death. Do not go astray, my beloved brothers. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of light, with whom there is no change, nor shadow of turning. Having purposed it, He brought us forth by the Word of truth, for us to be a kind of first-fruits of His creatures.”
Philippians 1:6, "being persuaded of this, that He who has begun a good work in you shall perfect it until the day of יהושע Messiah."
