First mention of the word "Jews" in the Bible is II Kings 16:6; Strong's Exustive Concordance #3064; Yehuwdiy (Chaldee).

It's not a Hebrew word it's Chaldean, it means 'subject of Judah' or slave of Judah, that is why the "Jews" of Elath are called Yehuwdiy, they were conquered by Israel and became conquered slaves of the land of Judea, from that time on "Jews" went by that Chaldee name because they spoke Chaldee.
