Myself as well have OCD,it got so bad at times that I'd go to Drs office and want to rearrange the furniture in waiting to be more condusive to communicate.Even at people's house I am always straighting the alignment of hanging art and AM COMPELLED to straighten.

It has gotten better since I'm a senior. I don't ck the doors and windows as often, but everything has to be aligned still.....lol

Oh boy the thoughts are not always bad or negative such ad I repeat in my mind every action I've done that day or what I'm doing next day..... I rarely sleep BC of it 😫😥😴🙁
I often have gotten this strange urge to label stuff out loud or in my mind. For example if I read something crude, I might say that’s crude. When it comes to seeing scary stuff , I’ve often used words words to label it.

I’ve had it before where I would to to focus hard on the words I was thinking and have gotten annoyed on my thinking being interrupted. But perhaps was actually good to be interrupted then.

I’ve dealt with obsessions surrounding my faith as well. Those can be especially frustrating.

Some things I feel help is working because I tend to overthink less when I am working and listening to certain songs. Scripture also has been a comfort to me. I find it a comfort how Jesus was there for Peter on the water when he was afraid and caught him when he called out “ Lord save me”.( see Matthew 14:28-31)

Here are some songs I find helpful

I had an intrusive thought where I told the devil that he could have my dog. I began to panic that my dog was going to hell. After reading my bible, I found some scriptures that suggested that a loving god would never let an innocent animal go to Hell and in some scriptures it even suggested that all animals will go to heaven.

Then, a day later, I was sat watching a YouTube video when I thought to myself "What if I interpreted those passages wrong" I was watching a long video and only had 3% left on my phone battery so I said "God, if I have interpreted those passages correctly, let me get to the end of the video. If I have interpreted them wrongly, and my dog is going to hell, let my battery die before I get to the end of the video. My phone died before I got the video watched and now I am so scared that my dog is going to hell.
The process you describe is an act of tempting God. Ignore the results and pray about a appropriate answer.

Animals do not go to heaven or hell which the Bible says the spirit of animals goes downward and the spirit of humans go back to God who gave them.

Imagine this:
All animals going to Heaven .... from at least 6000 years ago. Dinosaurs, reptiles, fish, water mammals, and the list goes on & on.
There would be at least 10,000/1 ratio of animals versus people. All the locusts & the frogs of Egypt.
Not a single one of them confessed their sins, accepted Jesus, or went to church.
You might say, "No, just my dog or cat". Then in that case how selfish that only OUR pets get to go!
And I have yet to open the Bible to quote anything. It would seem that common sense alone would/could answer this question. No one should have to be a Bible scholar to figure this one out.:)

Hum .. I don't think it is selfish to say that pets from Christians may have a special status, since we are saved with our families whenever it is possible, it makes sense to think it applies to our pets too.
Act 16:31
31- They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

I agree this is far-fetched but in the same times I can't say that God is love, but that he does not care about the animals he loves and that he made able to connect so intensely with us :) So I don't know the definitive answer, but I do not think it is selfish to believe my kids will be saved (even if they died before being able to pray or to say "Jesus") but not all kids from all times that did not have a chance to believe or not believe. In the same time, I think all animals will not be saved, but it is possible that animals that were part of believers' households, maybe will be saved ? I can't say for certain but that could make some sense.

Ecc 3:21
21- Who knows the spirit of man, whether it goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, whether it goes downward to the earth?”

Have you fear. I know of someone who had an accident and went to heaven, but got prayed back to his body. While he was in heaven, walking along the River of Life, he met his three old dogs. They spoke to him and he answered - but he said, don't ask me how they spoke and I answered: I don't know how - I just know it happened.

I think the answer is simple: if we have pets we love, God will take them to heaven for us.

Always remember, perfect love drives out fear.
