I had an intrusive thought where I told the devil that he could have my dog. I began to panic that my dog was going to hell. After reading my bible, I found some scriptures that suggested that a loving god would never let an innocent animal go to Hell and in some scriptures it even suggested that all animals will go to heaven.

Then, a day later, I was sat watching a YouTube video when I thought to myself "What if I interpreted those passages wrong" I was watching a long video and only had 3% left on my phone battery so I said "God, if I have interpreted those passages correctly, let me get to the end of the video. If I have interpreted them wrongly, and my dog is going to hell, let my battery die before I get to the end of the video. My phone died before I got the video watched and now I am so scared that my dog is going to hell.
Woof! Woof!

I have gotten different kinds of intrusive thinking. When it comes to OCD, the intrusive thoughts one gets tends to be distressing to the individual and repetitive. I’ve had both distressing and repetitive thoughts. The thoughts that come could be about anything. I find that trying to fight off or talk back to distressing thoughts tend to make more of the negative thoughts come even more. Thank you for the prayer. :)
Hi @CherieR ...

Exactly. And do you know why? Because they do not belong in either Heaven or Hell.
Where in scripture does it state this? God said that we can't even begin to imagine what He has planned for those that love Him. Based on your assumption I would say that this passage really needs to be toned down to reflect the reality. Can't see my little dog? Really? I don't think that I will care for heaven much. It certainly doesn't seem very special to me. Waste of time storing up treasure in heaven too.

huh well thats a strange thing to say to God, especially seeing its a random you tube video that God isnt in charge of...you can always charge the battery up again.

God doesnt really communicate via cellphone batteries. If youve only got 3% left. you should just charge it up again. That seems totally unrelated to your dog.

Enjoy looking after your dog while he or she is on earth. Lord knows its hard to look after a dog, but if you dont think you can handle it, be a responsble owner and seek out people who can help (or dog obedience school) not the devil!
I agree that it is unrelated to her dog. One thing about OCD is that often times the content of the thoughts are unwanted and do not reflect how the person truly feels. John Bunyan the author of Pilgrim’s Progress had intrusive thoughts that had bothered him intensely. Much of his struggle is in the book Grace Abounding to the Chief of Sinners.

Isn't Pilgrim's Progress an amazing book? Every time I see @Pilgrimshope ,I think of that book.
His use of naming thoughts feelings and actions as the people he met on his journey and the responses are so spot on.

I highly recommend Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan. It will open you eyes to this path we are on!

Is this post legitimate or part of an ongoing sock-puppet joke of a certain individual?

I like cats, but I have done some bad things to them. I can't tell whether I did it intentionally or unintentionally. I regret it. Those cats died in my hands.
In my days of regret,
When I get up every morning, I find Cat scratch on my body.
So what makes me happy is that I know they are still alive, but I don't know where they live.
I've also seen cats come out of the "hades",or hell or death. cuz Jesus has the keys of hell and of death.

It is not so unusual in OCD.

I have had OCD ever since I was a child. It’s true that compulsive thoughts can consume an individuals mind. Dreadfulness! Thanks be to the Lord that he has relieved me if such things at times.

That is wonderful news. It is good to experience relief. How are you doing with it now if I may ask?

Myself as well have OCD,it got so bad at times that I'd go to Drs office and want to rearrange the furniture in waiting to be more condusive to communicate.Even at people's house I am always straighting the alignment of hanging art and AM COMPELLED to straighten.

It has gotten better since I'm a senior. I don't ck the doors and windows as often, but everything has to be aligned still.....lol

Oh boy the thoughts are not always bad or negative such ad I repeat in my mind every action I've done that day or what I'm doing next day..... I rarely sleep BC of it 😫😥😴🙁

In all honesty, it’s much more bearable when I’m being obedient to God. When I stray(I have too many times) it becomes more pathological and I don’t do well.
