Well, for the last few minutes I've responded to several of your posts on (at least) two different threads. Why don't you hit the "Reply With Quote" on the bottom right of a post so we know who you are talking to?

Adjust your thought here, God does not need our help, we need His help, that includes to defend Himself: "The Lord is my defence, I shall not fear what man shall do to me." Will explain, a man disrupted a bible study saying He believed in the Holy Spirit, but did not believe that Jesus is God, I ended up disrupting the meting with Him, to prove the Word of God, nothing came of it except disruption, this is common, "Only by pride comes quarrels." After the meting the Lord told me: I don't need your help. I went back and apologised, and see differently, something the Lord had already told me: Pray for the anointing, for the Holy Spirit to be welcome to move among us, He makes the difference, "Not by might not by power, but by my Spirit sais the Lord." The mystery of God seeking His bride will be accomplished, there is no need to worry: enemies accusations come to nothing, "Without Love I am nothing." wish I could explain better but can you see what I need is to become real also, by the Holy Spirit.

So in this comment section on youtube there was this atheist guy mocking Christian music. Later down the line another one comes in and now they're saying there's no evidence of Jesus and the bible isn't credible. Can you provide me the best links to articles that prove Jesus Christ's existence and that supports the bible's claims? I'm a new Christian so I'm not good with this stuff.
If you are a new Christian, the last thing you should be getting involved with is debating atheists. Firstly, no one is converted through debates, and secondly you have many other important things to focus on, one of them being your own growth as a Christian. The Lord Jesus also said that we are not to give that which is holy to dogs, or throw pearls before swine. That has an application to this situation.

I can see your taking this personally. If they don't believe in God... I'm not sure if you can count this as a personal attack on you. Sadly, it's worse than a personal attack on you... It's more like a personal attack on God. In this context, you should not feel insulted or attacked, but in concern for them.

I know atheists can have bad attitudes. Maybe that's what's irritating? Again, I don't think you should let it get to you. This kind of bad attitudes are happening all over the place. You need to be mature about it... in a way be an "adult" and know they are just expressing a bad attitude that, in the big picture, means they need God.

Also, bare in mind, sometimes these kinds of people are either difficult or incapable of listening. The bad attitudes they show are prejudiced... some of them may never listen because they are filled with kind of hatred and prejudice against God. So, on some if not many occasions you're probably better off not even trying to help them. Jesus and the disciples left when they were met with hostile angry crowds.

As for the existence of Jesus Christ... Jesus is historical. There's also the historical argument for Jesus's resurrection.

I recommend this. Don't engage without counsel and someone to help you how to engage with them... I went into talking to people like that without anything but anger. I learned the hard way that there are athiests who just don't listen and are prejudiced. Too many of them will just ignore you, not be open to the possibility of God's existence, or just insult you. When you realize this... you need to walk away. But, again, I recommend you talk to someone who knows how to evangelize. I think it's better for you to join the evangelizing ministery and be with someone who knows how to deal with difficulties of evangelism.

You're right winning a debate doesn't do anything. Only the Holy Spirit can make someone believe in God. I agree with everything you say except for that last part. Yes I would believe in a dictating God that chooses some to have eternal life and some to throw in hell. That is one of the 2 main reasons why I decided to follow God in the first place.
South with some experience you will learn to weigh every word and read between the Lines, "Love does not insist on it's own way." = God is not a dictator, "He would have all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth." Without

I think it is simply because they deny there is a God. An agnostic may say they just don't know whereas an atheist might say, there is no God, as if they know for a fact when they obviously don't. God's Word says you knew at one time but turned away from the knowledge of truth to follow the ways of the world (likely due to what is known as "the pride of life").

I was a non believer for most of my life, so I really understand how difficult it can be to accept the premise of God being real when you think people are plain and simple wrong or mistaken. All the baggage of religion looks pretty suspect too, from the non-believer's perspective, also. But we are promised, that if you seek sincerely you will find the Truth, and His name is Jesus.

Acts 9

9 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,

2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.

3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:

4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

The problem with the agnostic position is that it is not just, "I don't know" but "I don't know and neither can you know." Basically an agnostic denies the ability for humans to know anything absolutely, but really that just comes across as a self contradictory statement.

Many of us were the same, brought up in a Christian home and then fell away or rebelled against it, I went the latter route :D I started seriously seeking when I was thirty three and God revealed Himself to me right away but I could not believe it, so kept looking for something else, until again God revealed Himself to me in a way I could no longer deny it was the same God I was running away from, but even then it was hard for me to throw over my whole way of thinking to accept it really was real, and that God was calling me out of my rebellion. I did eventually surrendered my opposition to Him and have not looked back since :)

I would not waste my time if they are saying such thing then they do not agree with Historical and geographical evidence supporting the man Jesus did live on the Earth. That truth has never been challenged. Even main line Atheist believe that . They just do not believe Jesus is God.

You're all right though I should not get into debates with atheists anymore unless it is civil and the atheist is truly seeking knowledge on the matter.
