All the cool kids watched LOST.

I only do what the cool kids do. :)
I'm never known many cool kids then, because I knew perhaps two people offline who watched the series and stuck with it and many, many online. For that reason, most of my 'watercooler' discussions with people were on the Internet.

I loved watercooler talk the only problem it made me want to use the facilities, I don't get it:confused:

Everyone died. Some in the initial plane crash that landed them on the Island. Many died during their time on the Island (documented in the series) and others died many years later, after having left the Island forever (some probably even died of old age). Everyone died eventually (as we all do), but the Island wasn't Purgatory or Limbo. The sideways world though, that was a little like Limbo.
Nice. A man who speaks fluent LOST.
SPOILER ALERT..... for those who don't know.

Right? They all needed to be on the island. They all went into a sleep state as they died, and when they all were finally dead, they met up to go to ....heaven, maybe? Didn't really say.

It was something like 5000 yrs from Jack to Hurleys death. Jack died a few months after the crash, Hurley became somewhat immortal, living 5000 yrs as him and Benjamin "ran" the island.

Goofy.
I got it.....or did l not?
A possible LOST debate about to happen? :)

Yes, they all needed to be on the Island to find themselves and each other. When they died (at the beginning, during the series, or after the series finished) they went into a sleep-state as they died and met each other in a timeless reality not unlike Limbo, but beyond that, probably Heaven. We don't know the timeline from Jack to Hurley's death. But it's likely Hurley lived to a pre-Flood age. Jack came to the island, was on it for some months, left with others, returned three years later and died about a week later. Hurley and Ben ran the Island for untold years, but recruited WALT! early on.

I'm game.

Jacks dad tells Jack, "you all needed to be there..needed each other..some of you died a long time ago, some recently"
Before Hurley walks into the church ,he tells Benjamin "you were a good number two"

At some point they state how long Hurley and Benjamin run the island. 5000 yrs??

When they all met up, it was instantly (sleep state) as seen from Jacks point of view........him dying long before Hurley.

I know, there are websites dedicated to this show and what it all meant.
I watched the ending like 10 times, thinking.........whaaaat?

doing some over thinking.

prayers much appreciated.
Lord Jesus you know what Melita is struggling with and I pray that you will give you peace of mind that will cover her entire body and she feels at rest. I bind the enemy from trying to discourage her and I plead the Blood over your beautiful daughter that she feels your presence all around her and she falls asleep in your arms. In your Holy Name, Amen

Goodnight, bro!

I don't remember the show mentioning anything about Hurley's age. I presume, given he was making the rules now, he could live as long as he wanted. After all, Jacob came to the Island around the time of Jesus, so that's what - roughly 2,000 years later that he's killed? I don't know if we watched completely different shows, but Australia didn't screen the super-confusing plane crash sequence, following the finale (but it's on the DVD - grrrrr!)

Now you've piqued my interest. I'll pop in my DVD, watch it again and get back to you. But yes, Jack died looooooong before Hurley. :)
