I detest foul language too. Always told my kids ... You want to appear ignorant and unlearned ? ... use foul language.
agreed. there are so many descriptive words in English that capture the feeling
much better than bad language.

however.....once i had just scrubbed the kitchen floor on my hands and knees,
took out some apple juice for the kids....it slipped out of my hands and the whole
half gallon spilled all over the floor.

wasn't proud of the word that came out of my heart...for out of the heart, the mouth speaks. :(

i remember the song, and my cousins (trying?) doing the dance. :)
We were doing it last night at our church. The Worship leader's wife celebrated her 30th birthday and they were good enough to do some stuff for us old people.

I'm really really tempted for humor's sake to say something right now (but won't) that ends in "happens" ....

When someone in life is cruel....or hurts you, it would be nice to shout something innocent at a wicked person.
Like shout..." You Big Peanut Butter Jelly Sandwich You!"....but its not easy. Can't say I ever tried that method! God forgive me...Hallelujah

a-a-nd that was my bad word.

I'll have to check with a few of my colleagues here, but if I'm not mistaken, you've committed the unpardonable sin :(
Lemme see if there's anything I can do for you

So foul language comes from a birdbrain? ^.^

As someone said, "Profanity is the attempt of a mediocre mind to express itself forcefully." I have found I can put people down, express displeasure and disgust and generally be a lot more effective negatively by limbering up my vocabulary and communicating exactly how I feel - back before I became a christian that is. Cussing is just a lazy way of doing it, and not a very effective one either.

And when I was googling that quote, "Profanity is is the attempt of a mediocre mind to express itself forcefully" the first google link that came up was Christian Chat forum. Hmmmm...

In all honesty, I sometimes believe this statement to be untrue...

( depends on the "feeling" being conveyed )

:)

I am not saying that "bad language" is right -- I'm just sayin'... ;)
