And thanks for the rep!

Just so you know, Canada isn't cold everywhere. But in the cowboy capital of Canada, Calgary Alberta, it is snowing, my daughter said.

LOL on them, and so glad I moved here. I like the heat and the desert!
Haha, not the first time they have had snow in the middle of summer. So strange. But, uh oh! I am going there next weekend for a family wedding. Oh well. Surely the snow will be gone by then?

Maybe, you can ship some the snow our way.
It would be nice to have some, it would melt
before it hit the ground.

Well, the soybean crop is going to be
a bust all across America. No rain,
not much of a crop.:(

Isn't that the crop you are bringing in from the fields now, Frank?

Yea, this was our 5th day, by now we know what we have.
I need 35,000 bushels to break even, not going to happen.
The oats did real well, we got 127,000 bushels. The past
five years, we got 125,000 bushels of oats. Last year was
our best year on soybeans. We got 78,000 bushels, the
beans were real big, this year, the beans are real small.
With them being small, it takes a lot more to make a bushel.
I'm thinking about just plowing the rest under, it's costing
me $ 2,000 a day in fuel, not including labor.

I think that is the hard part of being a farmer. Being so dependent upon the weather. In Alberta where I moved from, most of the crops got ploughed under because of the lack of rain and the heat. They just couldn't grow.

That sounds like a huge amount of oats, to say nothing of the soybeans last year!

Well, when I was a kid I had a friend that everybody swore we would get married because we were inseparable. We would sneak off somewhere together and we would never get caught. Hehe. He always wanted to be a farmer and I liked that about him. However, as I matured I actually like men that are not afraid to get dirty and actually enjoy a little manual labor or at least have that mindset because I was raised to work by the sweat of your brow and I thank God everyday he gave me parents that taught me that.

Yea, the rain is our biggest problem. You have a couple of weeks that
either make or break that crop. We missed the rain for the beans.

You get around 125 bushels of oats to the acre, we got 127 times
1,000 acres. It was a good crop, I sold at the right time also, the
next day or two, the bottom fell out. God blessed me with when to
sell.

We always do real good with the winter wheat. We plant 3,000
acres. We also sell the wheat straw, make a few bucks that way
We sell the oat straw also, it pays more than the wheat straw.

Good morning. Thx for bkfst, im stuffed.:) need prayer for self this time, don't like to ask but...prayers for healing, cleansing, repentance, resistance to sin and enemy and all that means, strength in battle, strength to stand, rest, restoration, and renewed dedication to our God and Saviour, boldness to witness and no fear to lift up, in private and public, and rejoice in The Lord Jesus Christ, the True and Living God. I DO pray for you all here as well, but sometimes I just feel i need to ask for myself, and forgive me if that's being selfish, but I want to make a new start with a new perspective and don't think I can do that without the sincere help of my genuine brothers and sisters in Christ. Lastly, please ALL WHO CAN PRAY Saturday for what will take place thruout this land and in the Body of Christ Sat. August 22. Despite any personal views or struggles with this issue, surely those who can't defend themselves deserve at least a moment of our thoughts and prayer. Thank you on their behalf. Father in heaven, thank you, Lord, for being our heavenly Father, thank you for your love, your grace, your mercy, your peace, your patience, your kindness, and your joy. Thank you most of all for Jesus. Thank you for all the family of God, please bless and hold us all in your safe keeping forever, sealed and secured by your Holy Spirit, and looking unto Jesus, The Author and Finisher of our faith. All praise and power, glory and honor be yours forever in Jesus wonderful name! Amen.
Dear Father in heaven we lift up our brother Syd to you and earnestly ask that you heal him, Lord, give him fresh eyes to see and a renewed heart to live in this fallen world where he has experienced so much disappointments and wounds, Lord, and also I pray that those he cares about are able to see him as a person worthy of consideration, I ask, Lord, that you would help Syd to focus on Your words "Do not fear; only believe" and that he would be filled with peace knowing you will be faithful to heal his sorrows and broken heart, Lord, in Jesus name I pray, amen.

But now I have probably B12 anemia. And my right knee seems to be dislocated! But at least it is not the debiliating pain of RA!!

It's a nationwide effort and hopefully everyone will say a prayer or do more as the Lord leads. Pls check out site and/or pm me, I dont want to tie up thread. God bless you!

This is wonderful! We don't have PP in Canada, but we have hospitals instead. I will say a prayer for sure, during the 9 am to 11 am period that this protest will be effectiver and the beginning of the turning of the tide, to stop abortion in America, spreading to Canada!

It's supposed to be in the mid 20's next week, so you should be ok. I hope so, because my son is supposed to be meeting us in BC to go camping, and if it is that cold, he will not come. We were supposed to go the the Kootenays, but the forest fire smoke is terrible, and I am allergic to it. To say nothing of road closures, and the new fire coming up from the US into Grand Forks. They are on evacuation notice right now!
