Hey PW thanks for your service. If no one told you yet today...and all our veterans, gone on, retired, and active...Jesus loves you. God bless you and thanks for all your sacrifice and service, and thank you to your families who sacrifice as well. :) PW, I thought I heard something about pow/mia flag. Some taking offense to it? Do you know anything about that?

Thank you Sydlit!

Yes -- I did hear that garbage about people attempting to say that the POW/MIA flag is a symbol of racism. This was a far-fetched attempt at debunking a symbol of honor and respect for our fallen and missing comrades! I believe this reaction followed the recent concern with the southern "Rebel flag".

Someone from The American Legion put out a good article on the whole deal, if you're interested, Here.

Thanks. I'm convinced there's some ppl out there who start their day saying, 'I feel like acting like I'm insulted about something today, so I can get my self-righteous anger up and feel important, and if I cant find something to get offended about, I'll make something up.' (or something like that. I gotta watch, or I wind up doing the same thing, in response. but it really gets my...grrr)

Know what you mean, brother -- the Thief sneaks in, with sly disguises.

We have to be careful with the world at our fingertips these days -- very easy to become overwhelmed and anxious.

So I was just biking from work to Walmart. On the way here, I come across a guy hitchhiking. I said to myself "Poor guy. Probably no one is going to give him a ride." He was in just a regular shirt, shorts, and had a green back pack. That got me to thinking, would any of you pick up a hitchhiker? I don't hitchhike, but I had to one time pullover in someone's yard as I was biking and it was storming. I couldn't see. I knocked on the door, and a girl about my age answered, and I told her what happened. I had a backpack with me, and showed her all I had were my phone, key, walllet, and change of clothes, and asked her if I could stay for a bit as the storm passed. She said yeah no problem.. But anyway, again, what would you do if you saw that hitchhiker? Or a hitchhiker in general, because more often than not, they do have a backpack. It just got me thinking and would like to hear what others would do.

I've picked 'em up before -- and I've been one myself before (backpack & all).

I don't recommend either.

But if you ever do -- make sure you've got a friend with you (use common sense).

I'm way too neurotic to pick up hitchhikers... It doesn't really matter if it's a guy, a girl, a couple, if they have kids with them... I've heard enough creepy stories to be totally freaked out about the possible things that might go wrong...

So... no!

So, I have had a wonderful day. I got so many compliments on the way I look because people are noticing my weight loss. Something about it makes me feel so good.:)

So, I've officially been accepted to graduate school!! Praise God! I'll be starting classes October 26 (that's of course if I have my loans and everything sent to school by the 14th of that month). But I am officially a student going for my Masters of Arts in Counseling in Health and Wellness! Next step is to get a laptop, since, well, this is all online, after all.

Congratulations, I know going to school is no easy task, but once you are done it will be worth all those hours you spent working on homework.

Well, it will be soon enough someone will. I first seeing the weight loss in my neck, then in my face. I have a pair of jeggings and they are baggy on me and just knowing that I think is well worth it. Just keep it up
