Some may prefer fresh fruit with granola and yogurt :)

I eat organic health food (no gluten, no sugars, no processed food, etc) 99% of the time. Today I crave a 3-egg cheese omelet, about 6 strips of crispy bacon, some homefries with onions & green peppers fried in butter, and some whole wheat toast loaded with homemade cherry preserves. Plus a pot of strong coffee! And throw in a generous slice of blueberry pie while you're at it! I'm hungry today!

Having one cup of coffee per day with nothing in it is fine. Some of my clients enjoy coffee and thought they had to give it up. If people don't like coffee plain and want to go for a healthier route, I suggest adding stevia to it. Honey is also a good natural sweetener, but not sure how that would taste in coffee.

Coffee itself is gross to me, so I don't have this problem.

So, is this considered healthier because there's "fruit" in it? :p ha.
You would get along well with my wife and the whole stevia and honey thing.

And you're right on with the fruity Dr. Pepper.

I always use stevia myself (I have a one pound container of it here at work, which has lasted me about a year and a half already because 1. stevia is far sweeter than sugar and 2. I have not been drinking coffee steadily over that time), except if I buy coffee at a café, though stevia is often available such as at the health food store where I sometimes shop (you have to ask for it). If stevia is not available honey is always my second choice, and I can attest to it's yumminess therein. If neither of those are available, I am forced to use sugar. :p Sometimes I might even mix sugar with the phony stuff. I put so much sweetener and white/cream in my coffee I have been accused of not really liking coffee LOL :)

are we all being healthy?

What happened to all the warnings that artificial sweeteners give you cancer?
And honey is still sugar :p

*goes back to eating my dessert* :p
(If I am to die from something I guess it has to be either diabetes or being clumsy enough to cause a horrific accident)

Honey is not refined like sugar is. Saying organic multi grain is the same as white because they are both bread sounds like a comparable statement (LOL) ;) Yeah, carcinogens proliferate in our diet. Sulfates and nitrates are high on the list of post chemo treatment patient no-nos. That any any charred foods, and how people love to blacken their food (not me!). People used to laugh at me because I paid for filtered purified water. Then they discovered how good it was for you. Or, they would comment about how healthy my diet was. To deflect such high praise, I would say, yes, as soon as I finish eating this, I am going outside to smoke a cigarette. Now I have given that up again, also. Gosh, I have abused myself so much and in so many ways over the years, and yet I survived. Thank God I outlived my gross stupidity! Artificial sweeteners are small potatoes in comparison, and so seldom partaken of, but you are right. They are not good for us. And yet, there they are, on many restaurant tables and many coffee shops. Are they trying to kill us??? PS: what's for dessert?

God has financially provided for this unexpected expense that I am so grateful for and just downloaded Microsoft Office that because of being a student I got for nothing and my instructor told me that I shouldn't worry about the deadlines and to get the work to him when I can and to go home and get some sleep.
