It's just so.....

HeavenlyAngel, I thank you that you post your prayer
requests for your Mom so honestly, it's a good reminder for me,
as I can easily get distracted and caught up in 'things',
and on more than one occasion, you just pop in and say
how much you love your mom and would like some prayers for her,
and that brings me around to focusing on what's important,
and how lacking I am in my prayer life
and lifting ones I love up more often.

I know our heavenly Father is watching
over you and your mom,
and so because of Jesus we can come
boldly to His throne of grace...and believe me,
if it weren't because He says we can and should,
I wouldn't,
especially with so much of what's been going on in my life lately,
I know how undeserving I am to be in His presence,
but thanks to Jesus.....

Father in heaven, please bless our friend, H A and her mom.....
we lift her mom again to you Lord, asking for your healing hand
to be upon her, and we ask also for your peace and reassurance
to be with our friend as she ministers love so faithfully to her mom.

And thank you for the faith she shows in you
by coming here in trust to ask for our prayers.
Help us, Father, to excercise this same confident faith
while in our own situations, Lord, for this was the main
purpose you came, was to reconcile us back to yourself,
to have a relationship with you, and by that to each other as well,
and we owe all this to the grace, mercy,
and goodness of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, in who's name we pray. Amen.

I have never been hyped up for Superbowl Sunday, ever! Life goes on, with or without it. I don't understand all the hoopla and how church services cater to it. Jesus will never ask us "Who won the 2015 Superbowl?

I'm definitely more excited to be watching the Super Bowl today than I am to drag my tired butt to church this morning. Sad, but true.

Actually, it's the 2016 Super Bowl. Jesus is rooting for the underdog.

There are a whole lot of people with YouTube channels that need a whole lot of anti-psychotic drugs and a whole lot of rest in an in-patient mental health facility.

I'm getting ready to head for church right now. Our church doesn't exactly cater to the Super Bowl, although something may be mentioned about it. We are going to watch the Super Bowl tonight with friends from church. :)

There is nothing wrong with enjoying sports, BUT God always comes FIRST. ;)

At least you are being honest about not understanding it, I will give you credit for that one. There is absolutely nothing wrong with watching the Super Bowl. The reasons why many churches host a party is to provide a safe environment for people to watch the game without alcohol, as many drink just a little too much. On the same thought there is nothing wrong with serving alcohol at these parties, it just needs to be done in moderation.

There are many that are planning to enjoy the game because they've been so busy with life and are using this as a day of relaxation by watching it.

Growing up my dad was never into sports so this was all foreign to me, however as I grew up I found that I do enjoy watching certain games. Granted, I love being in the stands rather than watching it on tv, but what else can you do? My point is there is nothing wrong with getting excited about this huge game. No matter who wins today, both teams should consider themselves blessed for even getting this far, for both have worked very hard to make it to the Super Bowl.

My wife and I just got home from church. After greeting the congregation this morning, the first thing that our Pastor said was, "most of you are probably looking forward to watching the Super Bowl today and cheering for your favorite team, but just remember that we have more to cheer about in Jesus Christ." Amen! :)

Please be in prayer for my momma... She over dosed on her meds and is in the hospital. Idk why she keeps doing this to herself, but she does.. It's like she wants to die. She wants to hurt everyone. I understand she's in a lot of emotional pain that I can't help her with, but that doesn't mean you pop 46 pills in 4-5 days when she should have only taken 12 at the max. She's bipolar, has a lot of health problems just like my dad did. Only he wasn't bipolar, and he had heart attacks. She just pops pills like candy and doesn't care what she does anymore. It's been a rough morning since I posted right before I walked into church, and I left church with a heavy heart and praying that my mother will stop this cycle and realize she still hasn't seen grandkids yet. :-/

Update on my mom-

I talked to her tonight, and she told me in detail of everything that happened from her point of view... She knows what she did is wrong, apologized and even said that her old boss/friend is gonna be in charge of her medications from now on, if not her.. Then my uncle who is closest to me and my mom and has been like the father figure I've needed since my dad passed away. I told my mom that I'm thinking of making monthly trips to go see her (she lives and hour and a half away from me) and she said she would love that... Gives her something to look forward too, something to plan.. And something to keep her focused on getting Better. Not too mention she's going to counseling for grief over all the loved ones she's lost. She knows she's mentally ill, understands the consequences of her Actions..and gave me her word, she's done with Popping pills, done with over dosing cause she's not in control of those pills anymore. So I feel relived and feel at peace about this, cause she told me this... Not asking me, but told me what she's gonna do to change her life.. And said the fact she thought she had a stroke scared her that bad, it finally woke her up.

So, with all the above being said.. Thank you to everyone who prayed for my mom.. Thank you Jesus for speaking through me to my mom, and thank you for bringing my mom back to me again. Here's to another 15-20 more years with my momma... If I'm that lucky to get that much more time with her. ❤️

DECIDED TO REPOST THIS TOGETHER:I wanted to write about a revelation i had in regards to our Heavenly Father's Allmighty power:
I often refer to sin as the pain we create, whether for ourselves, or others, or God, or regrettably all three i see it as pain for when i look upon the cross i see PAIN. Also i would be willing to almost guarantee that the pain that we suffer through in this life due to sin, drives us if only as a passing thought or actually planned and carried out to seek after our own deaths. So imagine if you will that each one of our lives were a drop of blood from the good Lord on the cross, and as He hung there with his flesh torn to the bone from the beating that He had recieved, His blood streaming (not dripping) STREAMING out and down the cross barely able to raise His head as He was being mocked and ridiculed, as the cast lots over His robes. Never the less raising His head to cry out to the Father in the heavens to forgive us, and after it was accomplished then taking all of our deaths, and giving us in return His gifts of no more pain, and life. Let that soak in for a moment if u will brethren close ur eyes and envision we are but a drop and seek death...... STREAMING AND RUNNING HIS BLOOD DOWN THE CROSS CARRYING ALL OF US AND TOOK ALL OF OUR DEATHS AND YET NEVER SEEKED IT HIMSELF PRAYING THAT THIS CUP PASS FROM HIS LIPS BECAUSE OF HIS RESPECT FOR LIFE... Can you fathom it? I try but humbly i don't think i fully can fathom it, the immense amount of power that our wonderful God has and His Son, but i am grateful for it though Amen.
