I love seeing you post and not just read. I think Mr Frank is a professional lurker. I call him my guardian angel. An angel for sure. Hope your weekend is a good one friend.

I am NOT happy right now. Angel has been here since Friday. Since then, she won't drink anything, she won't eat her dry food, and has only eaten a couple bites of wet food. AND she's thrown up twice, yesterday and this morning. I AM NOT taking care of another sick cat!!! AND she had diarrhea this morning too. Please pray she'll start eating and drinking more, and stops throwing up and having diarrhea. Otherwise, back to the humane society she goes.

Poor kitty.

Would you post a pic of her, please?

There are times when I feel very much like a filthy dirty sick abused kitty before God adopted me. He cleaned me up but I still spend too much time hiding under the furniture because I am so afraid of everything.

Romans 12:2 - And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Wuz gonna speak my mind, decided to renew it instead.

Today I got sent home from work by my manager because the 'staff didn't like me' and because one of the older women (with seniority) began arguing with me and treating me like I was an incompetent child (Wasn't even the lady that was supposed to be training me in the first place this day). I basically stuck up for myself and made it known to her that I did not care to be spoken to like that and she 'tattled' on me to the manager (about the second or third time after I told her that she was putting in her orders wrong in the computer and giving away FREE stuff, which is completely against policy) and the manager came up to me in front of everyone in the store and started telling me that I needed to go home and that she valued the other employee more than me and that I had been 'causing' issues with other employees ever since I started training on the floor.
I then in front of everyone called the manager out and pretty much told her that she should be more concerned about her store and that there should be actual procedures implemented to solve problems. I am quite honestly, a very thorough and competent worker, as well as a friendly human being. So I said to her that it was impolite to treat workers that way and that it was disrespectful and wrong and that every worker should be treated equally. With only one warning (of me sticking up for myself again) she demanded that I give her my apron, nametag and hat... (lol) and then she told me to leave... I then proceded to tell her that I would gladly do so and that I would walk out as if I was walking out on a runway.

At this point of me being unemployed on and off for the past year, all while putting in at least 80-90% effort I might as well
give everyone a show.
So then as I was walking out of the building underneath my breath I said 'wow this place is horrible.'
I am really hoping that this isn't what my life is going to be like for the next few months, because I have bills to pay and I am tired of being in work environments where I am constantly feeling like I need to degrade myself. Degradation is only meant to happen naturally, it should never be forced by another human being trying to woe others by a form of social bullying or unprofessionalism.

Anyway, thanks for the training and ignoring me completely.
This is why I will be eternally grateful for when I can afford gluten free food.
I am so sorry to hear of your employment problems :( Unfortunately, that is exactly how degradation happens: when others treat you in way you feel you do not deserve. I think it happens a lot at work, and from what men have told me after telling them some of the things I have been through with my co-workers, it would seem to be worse among women than men, but don't kid yourself. It is not called a rat race and a dog-eat-dog world for nothing. One thing to keep in mind though, is that it may be better to save your how-to-improve-the-company speeches for times when people are open to hearing them. The opportunities for such will likely be far and few between. At least if you are able to hang onto a job for quite a few months, those with more authority may be more open to listening when the time is right. Having boundaries in personal relationships, and being honest, really are admirable traits, but your workplace elders may not appreciate having their defects shoved in their faces. There is a definite pecking order and they probably do not care what you think, especially when delivered in such a manner, regardless of how good it felt for you to tell them off. And remember: you cannot humiliate a humble person. One of the hardest things for me at times is to do my job as if I am doing it for Jesus. I have heard that suggestion a few times and it is difficult! But really if I am living my life for Him, and have surrendered my all to Him, then that is what everything becomes. It puts things in a different light when I think that way, even if it is difficult to implement. Thank you for the reminder :)

Thanks. But age really doesn't have anything to do with it at all.

It took my most recent boss twenty five years to acknowledge that I was better than he was at what we both did at work. Twenty five years of him putting me down and treating me like pooh and disrespecting me because I am a white woman. LOL. So not funny. Twenty five years! He is the boss, and manager, answering to the board of directors who are essentially clueless; the boss is running the business, he is supposed to know what is what and who is capable and competent, but his ego was more important, he ran the business almost into the ground before he finally retired and sold it to a couple of my co-workers who knew they could salvage a living for at least some of us. We used to have over sixty people working for our company in the hay day. Even after that, my boss was giving himself bigger yearly bonuses than what I made in a year while denying me the raise he promised me.

Looks like Angel is going to be returned to the humane society. For three days straight since I got her, she has had diarrhea, has thrown up 3 times, and will not eat or drink. I AM NOT HAPPY. I AM NOT taking care of another sick cat. I will return her and be alone. I give up. :(

Good morning everyone.

Chaos comes when God is not allowed to rule.

Have a great day everyone.
