:)

I have been up since 2:30 AM, accomplished quite a lot..........pot of coffee drank? Check. Read my Scriptures? Check. Visited with my on-line Brothers and Sisters in Christ? In process...........

:)

BTW: One is only "lurking" if one is not "adding to" the fellowship of the believers here.

But, then, I suppose "adding to" is in the eye of the beholder............ :)

Well, I'm just lurking.

I tried going back to bed, but I'm too anxious for no specific reason so I'm back lurking.

What gets you up so late at night, I mean early in the morning?

We adopted our dog this past March. We adopted her from a man who had adopted her from a local shelter. He had for 3 years. For health reasons he had to move out of state close to his family and he couldn't take her with him. I was curious about her past because she and another dog were left tied up and abandoned outside the shelter on a very cold night. I finally found some information. The man we adopted her from named her Sophie, we kept the name. I'm going to post the picture I have of her, check out the name, it doesn't fit her at all. Ladies and gentleman I present:

Right. Ishtar was the name given to the pagan Mesopotamian goddess of fertility, love, war, and sex.

Yeah, she definitely doesn't fit that description. Must be some dork with a weird sense of humor working at the shelter.

The not good under CC standards thread has become a general conversation thread. I'm very glad to see you are still here. Allegiance took some hits last night. I gave him a very strong benefit of doubt, and fed him a bit, but he just gobbled it up and kept trolling.

I did the whole Ice Cube Friday "Bye Felicia" to that thread and don't have no care what goes on in there. It was like a sorry game of king of the mountain, and the rest of us are playing other games on the playground. I missed the Allegiance thing. I replied to him twice I think and then got busy yesterday with chores so by the time I got back on, everything had gone in a weird direction. Oh well.

Wow! What a great looking dog! I would be proud to own a dog like that.
You could change her name.

Wow... I was googling advice on how to deal with something from a christian perspective and the google result I clicked on turned out to be my own advice that I posted to someone on another christian forum site 7 years ago!

I have to admit, my advice was pretty good though lol.

(guess I'll have to take it since I wrote it :p)

Here's the advice I posted 7 years ago (on another site) in reply to a thread about 'How to Deal with Rudeness/Rude People'...

(in case it might help anyone :))

...one thing I learned to do is to ask Jesus to remove the darkness that is surrounding my heart, and then picture a dark cloud slowly dissipating around your heart. It works really well actually. Who knows, maybe Jesus really did what I asked! I was inspired by a story of a woman who said that we all spread either light or darkness to others through our spirit and when we spread darkness it offends God. When we spread light it delights God.
