The origins aren't clear but rumor has it that the SYM thread was started by an old hermit sometime in 1907.
OH and his team were out searching for answers when they realized that a thread where people could come together and write or post goofy, encouraging and sometimes uplifting pop culture gifs type posts for other members of CC, didn't exist.
They realized that a thread was badly needed to talk about cats, food and God.
He made one.

I went to Kohl's to find something cute to wear to back to school night tonight. I like Kohl's but it's gotten so there are so many clearance racks and everything is so scattered that it's hard to find something to wear. Oh that's cute, not my size wrong section. I'm going to look at the regular not on the clearance rack stuff. Okay it's somewhere behind all of this junk. I did try on a couple of dresses but I felt like a dump truck in them so I said forget it. I'm going to stop shopping at Kohl's. I just can't take all those crazy racks anymore.
