Once in a great while I will read a passage that jumps out at me and worms it's way into my head enough to make me ponder on it. I don't know why that happens.

No, I'm not going to pray about it and expect God to answer me. I know how worthless and insignificant I am and I'm not going to bother the good Lord with my stupid questions.

Brother we are called to meditate on God's word, this is where his nurturing takes place. Please ask him all the questions you want, that's what dads are for.

Went to the Bethany church's yard sale this morning. Was disappointed with how little stuff they had, compared to last year. I got some photo frames, scented candles, a ladybug piggy bank :p , a ladybug candle holder, a windchime, some yarn for making jewelry with, and let's see, what else.. I think that's it..lol :) And I spent less than $15 on it all. woot woot..

Folks around here tell me stuff like that on a regular basis, and while I can appreciate their encouragement, I can't follow their advice. Trying to seems inauthentic. I still get a kick out of seeing an obscure little passage jump out at me like "hey, pay attention to me tonight!"

There seems to be an inordinate amount of crazy on the forums this week... more than the usual quota, that is. Or maybe it's just that, for some reason, I'm noticing it more. I think I'll go read 1 Samuel 21...

Seems to me perhaps the Lord wants to share some time with you. By the way your not un worthy and insignificant who told you that lie? If ya want to grow in the knowledge and grace of the Lord Jesus then heed to his calling. Spend some time with the Lord, be blessed, soak it up ,ask for more, be come that child that always replys "why". Let down your guard and let him.

I just sold my laundry drying rack for $10. I ordered a smaller one from one of my magazines, and it came today, so I put the old one up for sale on FPF. Three people responded, two asked if I still had it, and the third one said she'd love to have it since she never uses a dryer. :) I also put up a bunch of CD's for sale, but no queries on those yet.

I just introduced Mittens to the pleasures of chasing yarn. LOL.. She got so excited that she jumped in a cardboard box in the living room, then jumped out and ran full tilt into the other cardboard box in the kitchen. I just about split a gut laughing.. Of course when she jumped into the box so quickly, it smashed into the wall.. lol

Yeah.. I just wish she was alot more social. Her other owners were all allergic to her so they couldn't hold her or pet her. I'm trying to get her to let me hug her, but she backs off when I try. :( She gets on the bed for pettings and snuggles right up to me, but that's about it. I know I shouldn't compare, but Mittens is definitely NOTHING like Tequila was. I could pick up and hold Tequila, and hug her, and do anything to her. I can't do that with Mittens and it makes me sad.

Someday in death, I can do what I couldn't with her in life: pick her up and hold her and hug her after she's gone..

You all got me thinking of my doggie I had in my teens.
He was a Labrador cross / lassie type collie. A big ball of fur and fun.

Anyway I found this old picture of him on my bed, he use to sneak under the covers
when he thought I wasn't looking. Lol

He was really intelligent I could train him to do anything and he picked up a few tricks
of his own. When hungry he would march into the kitchen, pick up his dog bowl
and bounce back out, find a person and drop it on their feet!

Hi to everyone!

It is autumn here and I am beginning to bring in the garden. I am getting a house keeper this week, so I am cleaning the house like mad! LOL Basically getting rid of all the clutter, doing a lot with indoor plants and so forth.

On Thursday my husband took me to see a diesel pickup he wanted to buy. I wanted to see if the diesel exhaust affected my asthma and it sure did! I still feel like an elephant is on my chest. (Apologies to P_Rebein!) I dusted one light fixture, and I am back to square one, breathing wise.

In other exciting news, I finally took my very expensive flute to have it rebuilt. I've been having issues with it for over a year, and it was only getting worse. Complete pad and cork changes, and resetting the holes. Very anxious and excited about it! Now I am off to play with the very old, backup, pawn shop flute. We shall see how that goes for 2 weeks!

Speaking of Little Elephant where is he hiding?

Blond thinks he is playing hide and seek.
