An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Feed a cold and starve a fever. Or is it the other way around? I'm pretty sure about the apples though.
can they be caramel apples coated with nuts?

because that's what i'm eating. ;)

I have started eating an apple a day, probably for over a year now, though I did try oranges for a while, and quite honestly it had been decades since I'd eaten oranges on any kind of a regular basis, but after a while I went back to the apples. Gala are good, and I also really like Ambrosia apples. Some of them get so big it is hard to eat a whole apple in one sitting!

My daughter and I used to grocery shop every Saturday after she started working, but now that she has two dogs to go for walkies every day we often forego the mega store for a corner market, and the apples are usually less expensive there anyways! :D

goes to show you, doctors are bad for your health! :)
They are, but they can also be quite funny.
lol, I love confusing doctors. Most doctors I have seen have gotten confused when they are 99.9% sure something was wrong, but I had one who was 100% sure I had something. They just needed the test done to diagnose. That poor doctor's expression when they realized they were wrong.

What a beautiful dog! Such warm, kind eyes. I love animals.
She is full of beans, this one :D Toy Aussie Shepherd, tri red :D

Ellie, my daughter knew what kind of dog she wanted, too, and she looked for about a year. Koda came from Oregon :D The breeder drove halfway up to Canada and my daughter's paternal aunt drove across the border to meet them at the appointed place in Washington state. That was a year ago last August, on the eighth :D

This is the first I have seen this pic

Magenta, my sister (who lives just north of Charlotte, NC) told me this morning after the new year she's driving to Michigan to get a puppy. (?? lol)

it's a newfie-poodle mix?

big dog, and no shedding. :p

she said she'd pick up an extra to drop off here in NY (is that on the way? :p).
and they're only $1600 each! ;)

Koda is just beautiful. :)

hope the poodle half is okay in the hot weather. but there's central air, and my sister's the kinda gal who keeps her pets close to her.

That sounds like a long drive! The pet stores here are no longer allowed to sell puppies, because of course they were mostly coming from puppy mills, and there was too much room for animal abuse/neglect in that type of environment. That may be why dog prices took a bit of a leap a while back, almost doubling in some cases. Special breeds like your sister is getting=== I am not surprised to hear she has to drive so far, actually, and anything with part poodle is likely going to be lovely, but you really need to know your breeds. For instance, the fur could be of the Newfie brand and not poodle? Has she seen the puppy at least in pictures already?

Koda is unusual in that her ears stay up most of the time. Heh,
she has big ears! But most Aussie Shepherd ears are down.

Good luck to your sister! Here is a nine month old NewfiePoo.
