I want to wish my wife a very Happy Birthday. For the next 17 days she will be older than I am. We call this the 17 days of Christmas. So Christmas doesn't officially end until after my birthday on Jan 9.

I've looked through dozens of pictures of manger scenes trying to find one I thought might be as realistic a representation of the actual scene when Christ was born............sadly, most do not portray what a stable would look like back then.......... This one seems to be as close as I can find.......but, it isn't really that good either. Y'all think you could find one? It would be interesting to see what the actual scene looked like. Well, for me anyway.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

“I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”

I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:”

I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.”

“I and my Father are one.”

“As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.”

“No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.”

I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them........... I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.......... Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

Does anyone know of any place in history (or today) where there are Christians who received the gospel through word of mouth, but dont have any Scriptures (or cant read)?

I ask because i've always thought it would be interesting to see how a group of believers who cant read (or dont have anything TO read) succeed. What would they believe?
Holy Spirit shall lead you into all truth. So thats why it would be interesting.

im asking here because it would be too random of a question to make a separate topic for.

My main wish in 2019 is for Rock music to become popular again. It's annoying being the only one in my age group listening to 90's hard rock 'cause nowadays everything sucks. I've been told "we listen to real music", all of it is crap nowadays. I wish I was born to experience grunge, and alternative hard rock in the 80's and 90's.
Rock music, grunge hard rock.....all of it is Satanic. Every Christian understands this.

this is from memory, and memories from a long time ago..........however, I once was told (when I lived in Europe) that back in the Dark Ages/whatever when Christians were hunted and such, and folks were trying to destroy all the Bibles in the world.......that in Ireland, the women would take the children out to the bogs at night and teach them about God and Christ............did they have a Bible? Don't know, but surely not many of them would have been educated enough to read and write.........they "passed down" the Gospel of Christ in stories.....

Like I said, long time ago...........any way to research this? Dunno...........

But, even today, in places here in the US, there are folks who can not read or write that are being told the Gospel of Christ.........
