I don't like spiders either. I always have to have someone kill them for me. I also despise snakes. One time I was helping my dad prune our rhododendron bush and I all of a sudden I saw a garter snake on one of the branches and I flipped out. I told my dad the other day and he was surprised that I remembered that because it was about twenty years ago and I told him, "one never forgets something like that".
Snakes freaks me out too. Even a garter snake would. But I'd say a Water Moccasin having a tantrum is the worst...that wide open cotton white mouth...flashing its teeth...coming right at you...and they say it aint aggressive? Reckon them folks never seen one performing live...

Good morning.

I'm glad you've changed those habits. Just a little goes a long, long ways. We don't need to mask our beauty just enhance it a little to bring out the good stuff. (and God looked and saw that it was Good - one removal of an O and you have God=Good)

Super nice profile pic of you, btw. :)

Understandable. However my teenage years were in the 80's .. and I had to go all Cyndi Lauper style! LOL

Good Morning everyone. I often get random thoughts in my head ... and this was popped into my head as I was putting on my makeup this morning. I remembered how I did my makeup when I was a teenager. I cringe at the thought nowadays. I remember using the most ORANGEST (is that a word?) foundation on my face ... often leaving marks under my jawline, and thick pink blush up my cheeks. Then I would plaster on the brightest blue eyeshadow known to mankind! On went the black mascara and I would curl my eyelashes with one of those eyelash curler thingies ... and then would put the finishing product on ... the reddest lipstick I could find! Oh emmm geee I have pictures that I look at now and get sick to my stomach. Ooompa Loompa comes to mind. How pretty I was! HAHAHAHAHA
Good Morning Heather. I used to wear a lot of makeup back in High School and over the years I realized I don't need to wear as much. In fact, it started a couple years ago that I only wear the bare minimum. Just enough to smooth out my redness and make my scars less noticeable. I don't wear any blush and if I do wear eye shadow it is a skin tone, so many people do not even think I am wearing it.

Funny how we remember things better when strong emotion is involved.

Yikes! When we first built this house, there was a bunch of spiders coming into the basement. And I mean BIG spiders with attitude. We finally killed them off or they kill one another off with not having any way to get out. But every once in a while...eww...one will show up. Most be from the woods out back.

And we get those snakes too. Mostly big black snakes here in the North. My husband chopped the head off one and tossed all of it over the back fence. Last year, I spotted one from the window so I chased it with the shovel. They are fast! But we have a little weenie dog to watch out for.

Love the sweet rain - IF I don't have somewhere to go.

So nice to wake and see you have lots more time to sleep.

They say 'makeup' is to make up for what we don't have. :p Our pastor jokingly said he was glad some ladies wore make up. Oops, foot in mouth.

Some cats hunts down the snakes, so if youre lucky your cat will keep them away...only thing is...some cats will drop that darn snake right outside the door when the snake is no more fun (..dead...supposed to be at least), because from what I've heard thats the cats way of saying "Hey, I'm doing one good job out here, now get shed of this worn out belt like looking thing for me, will yah?"...lol

I'm going to stand outside. So if anyone asks, I am outstanding.
Yes, you certainly are.... I drew a picture of a rose one time to enter an art show we had at work and I titled it Outstanding....didn't win anything, but I can say I was in one art show....lol and that is outstanding too.....chuckles....

These black snakes here are like 4 feet long or longer.

The last thing you want to do is kill snakes. They kill way more rats than cats ever do.

All kidding aside, it is a gorgeous day out. I love when our pastor makes a little joke in his service each Sunday where he has the whole congregation laughing out loud. Yesterday he said that this woman's husband died, and she wanted the words "R.I.P" on his tombstone. The guy started to inscribe the tombstone, and she got word that her deceased husband had a gambling problem and blew all of their money that she did not know of, which left her absolutely penniless. She hung up the phone and told the guy to inscribe on the tombstone: "RIP, until we meet again". hahahahahahaha I thought that was so darn cute!

No, we dont have cats now (I'm a wee bit allergic to them:() and there aint no snakes where I'm at now, but back at my folks place there are more snakes than I care for...

Most dogs are too slow...the snake will strike and the fight is over...killing snakes is more of a cat thing;)

We've only killed them or chased them off if they get in the fenced in yard. Can't afford one finding a hiding place around the base of the house (where my hubby found one while mowing) or getting into the basement. Never had a rat problem because we're very careful about the birdseed.

Well, where I am at we have mice, especially during the summer months. My cats can sure kill the mice left and right. The only problem with that is they leave the mice on our front porch to show it off. It is so darn cute, but disgusting. One time a few years back we had a cat put a dead mouse in my moms purse. It was hilarious!! Well, mainly because it wasn't me:eek: I know that sounds horrible
