That looks like freshly ground black pepper on top of the veggies and pasta. The broccoli is obviously stir fried and will retain a certain crispness. This looks like a healthy dish chock full of flavor and texture. I am wondering about those cherry tomatoes off to the side. These may require salt.

I had to search through a dozen pages to find this thread. Finally I gave up and used the search function. sparkman pulled forward more than 50 zombie threads, ALL of which are about the sabbath. aarrghh..
