Suicide is a form of murder, so killing yourself will not lead you to Heaven if you're not saved. Give it all to God first and be patient.

Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God

Did you expect anyone to lie to you? It would not make you feel any better either. How about you tell what's wrong with you?

This made me remember of something.

Psalm 23:4 Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.

I've went through such moments many times where I didn't feel God's presence, but it's a way of trial. He is there but silent, waiting for you to turn to him. The nature grows better in valleys than on mountains.

My life is in shambles. I feel no connection to God. I am lost, alone, without vision or direction. I pray. I feel no presence of God.
Whatever it is, don't give in.
We are both in a dark place. I think of suicide a lot myself. I pray for God to take me every night. I don't know if I'll make it or not. I don't think I will kill myself today. I really want to see what God will do. That may take time. I'm scheduled to see a psychiatrist at the VA clinic tomorrow. Perhaps you should see a doctor too. God helps those who help themselves. He put these doctors here to treat us, when we need them.

yeah that's not the way. has to be in a natural course of time .In the mean time , take a deep breath and relax; Do Not worry, instead, make a plan to be around positive people that will treat you right, and lift you up . Work to reach a goal so your at a happy place at the end of it. Like, say, a job you always wanted to try, or some place you want to take a trip to, like the red wood forest, or the Grand Canyon.

Think less, and plan more, to some good goals. Might not be easy, or fast, but I think it can pay off in the long run. Just asking for help, praying to God, and know He hears you, then just move on to work at it.

And yeah, find some good people to help you feel better.

Jas 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
Jas 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Jas 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
Jas 4:9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
Jas 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Papaoat, Skinsky hit the nail on the head..... Take a Bible, and start reading... I go closer to God by reading His Word. Oh Papaoat He is truly a GREAT GOD...

You know Job was a man that had a family and he lost all his kids and livestock. Then Job felt like this.... Job said unto the Lord....WHY WAS I EVEN BORN?.... And later AFTER Job has drawn closer to God Job said this...... LORD! Now that I have SEEN thee, I ABHOR and fall in sack and ash.....

Do you see how GOOD God made Job realise how much love there is in God? God loves us so much, that when He shows us how much, we still feel ashamed, for being ashamed....

God is just so LOVING, that we even hate our evil thoughts, let alone deeds....

My frien read the Bible,,, HIS LOVE IS VERY REAL THERE!

I am lonely & depressed. Will I go to heaven if I commit suicide? Can someone help me
Anyone who believes in the Gospel is going to God when they die. But killing yourself wouldn't be very nice to others.

I PRAYED FOR YOU TO HAVE STRENGTH, FOR YOU TO KNOW GOD LOVES YOU, AND TO GET UP AND DO WHAT YOU NEED TO DO FOR YOURSELF.

The best remedy for depression is to help someone else. Do you have any seniors near you? Offer to help out, clean their home, run an errand for them, take them to the store, just visit. They'll appreciate this and you WILL feel better.
What is it that you like to do? Read? Do you like music? Do you have a hobby, even if you haven't worked on in it in a long time? Find a new hobby. Are you near nature? Take a walk and make yourself look for God's hand in the neighborhood. Yes, this all takes the gumption to get up and get moving but you WILL feel better and it will help, little by little. I pray that you truly do want help. Focus only on what you can do here and now. My pastor always says "we can't do everything, but we can do something"
Do you have a church? If not, can you find one nearby? Suicide is NOT, I repeat NOT the answer. God DOES have a reason for you to be here and He does not want you to cut this life short. I do not feel the presence of God much either but it's a matter of knowing He's here with me and with YOU. I know it like I know I'm breathing.

You have no idea what suicide does to those you leave behind. No matter what you think they think, it will destroy them.
A boy I dated in high school committed suicide during my senior year (his 5th year). So I know how bad it hurts.

If you want to pm me feel free. Are you in S. California? I hope so, let me know.

We have control of what thoughts we let our mind use for our daily living, but I often wonder if how our personal body works doesn't have a lot to do with it, too. I will be hosting someone in a bi polar depression for a few days.

Once I get her to focus on most anything, I use prayer with her and she puts on my prayer shawl. It seems to close out all the turmoil and God surrounds her instead.

I buried my daughter when she was only 21. While she was being lowered into the grave so I knew she and I would never have the delight of an afternoon together again, a bird sang.

Somewhere in our world there is such as the Grand Canyon, a mother giving birth, people hiking on a beautiful trail, and even if you aren't experiencing it yourself, you can share in their joy just by knowing it is there. Even if you don't "feel" God being a power around you, just lift up your eyes and you can see it. Don't focus on the things of Satan. God will be triumphant, live in that world not the world of Satan.

It has been proven that if you dwell on bad thoughts it produces bad thoughts. If you put in good ones, more good ones follow. Almost everyone has had a high at sometime, a feeling of joy. If depressing thoughts have been your food for a long time, you might have to reach far back to remember a moment like that. In that moment everything is good, it takes real doing to change our mind to those "ain't is awful" ones.

Papaoat - I can empathize with you. I'm currently on medication for depression and have been suicidal many times (even last week). I used to ask the question - Will I still go to heaven if I committ suicide? Then I realized that what that question revealed to me was that I may be saved, but my RELATIONSHIP with Jesus was not good. I was just using Jesus as a get out of hell free card. The other thing that keeps me from actually following through with the thoughts that still come at me is remembering that God has a plan for me. If I "take myself out" then I am choosing my plan over God's plan.

No one can say for certain that suicide is an automatic "go to hell" or not. It is not directly addressed in scripture and nothing (in context) says the person goes to hell no matter what. People have their opinions and some use fear and scripture to back up their claims so they can "know for certain" and scare anyone else away from trying to commit suicide.

What I see in scripture is that our Father and Jesus are not looking for relationship with us based on fear. They are looking for relationship with us based upon a love for us that we cannot imagine and does not change. Having committed a sin and then dying without having a chance to repent does not mean you lose your salvation and go right to hell. That is not consistent with a God of Love and compassion, that is a God based on fear to keep his subjects in line and doing what it wants. God loves us and calls us sons and daughters, not subjects. He does not look on us with disdain because we have done something wrong, he looks on us with compassion. Remember the people Jesus healed, the woman at the well, and the woman caught in adultery? He does not beat us down because we sin, Jesus lifts us up out of it. We all have sins in our lives and there is no "degree of sin." Sin is sin.

The thought that it's an automatic go to hell is a blatant fear tactic and is not consistent with scripture or Gods law of love. To say that you go to hell because your last act was to kill someone is absurd. Your salvation is not based on whether or not you follow every letter of the law or live a perfect life. In this way of thinking, if you are the cause of a car crash that causes someone else to die and you die as well then you automatically go to hell because your actions killed someone and you never repented of it. It would also mean that every soldier who died in battle went to hell because they were in battle and killed someone and they were killed before they could repent. Someone could also avoid the automatic go to hell because they could take an overdose and repent then die. See, the logic is flawed and there is no God of love or compassion in this scenario. It's based on man's fear mongering. It's also the same cult-like theology that says if you die before you're baptized you go right to hell. You can be on your way to the baptism ceremony but you died on the way so you're now in hell. Christianity has blatantly said that is not the case, yet the same logic is used for the "go right to hell if you commit suicide" principle because we obviously don’t want people to commit suicide.

As for suicide causing someone to be classified as a murderer in context with the scriptures, I do not see it. Doing something once does not define the person. It may be something someone did one time, but that does not make it their identity. Jesus said that everyone who looks on a woman lustfully in their heart has committed adultery. If that's the case then every guy on the planet will go directly to hell because they are an adulterer. The same thing where Jesus said anyone who hates his brother is guilty of murder. Again, everyone on the planet has inherited a direct ticket to hell as a murderer. The difference of being a "murderer, adulterer, thief, drunkard, etc" is a lifestyle characterized by these things and having a heart hardened to the Lord. Again, doing something once does not define the person or their heart.

Does God condone suicide? No, obviously not. At the same time, God knows our beginning and our end. He is not taken by surprise and knocked from his throne because someone commits suicide. He knew before the person was born that they were going to do that or not do that. It's already accounted for in His plan. He knows what choice any of us will make. For me, I've been on the brink many many times and have not gone through with it for different reasons. My reasons, among other things, are the hurt and pain it would cause my family and friends. When I get that low, I am sorely reminded that God is hurting with me. Scripture says he rejoices with us and he hurts with us. God is not fickle. If I were to make the choice of suicide in a weak moment, God's character would not change from a loving and compassionate God to an angry vengeful one throwing me in hell forever. No, I would die and go to heaven where I would be welcomed by the Loving Father and his Son Jesus. If I chose my timing rather than God's timing to die He already knows it. I would "pay for it" by not getting to see my future play out as God had intended. He knew I would die then, but his perfect plan for me was different. I believe I would "pay for it" because I would be grieved as He would at the missed opportunities.

Going to heaven or hell is based on one thing only...whether you have accepted Jesus and made him Lord of your life. If you have, regardless of your "final act in life," you will go to heaven.

The very same people who will swear the Ten Commandments and the Law have been abolished

Are the very same people who will tell you suicide is an unpardonable sin because it is taking a life.

When an individual is in such a state as to take his own life, it seems that person would be heart-broken and lost.

Our Father teaches us in more than one instance in the Word that He will in no wise turn a way a broken and contrite heart.

God says it, I believe it, and that settles it.
