So thankful the Holy Spirit recorded for us that the church met on the first day of the week in honor of Christ and His fulfillment of every jot and tittle of the law.
So, you really believe the Law is no longer in force?

Always go to the Sacred Word(Scriptures):[h=1]Matthew 5 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)[/h][h=3]Christ Fulfills the Law[/h]17 “Don’t assume that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. 18 For I assure you: Until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter[d] or one stroke of a letter will pass from the law until all things are accomplished. 19 Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commands and teaches people to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you, unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

Do not argue about Sabbath Day just obey what ABBA says, but some people will not accept truth. Holy Spirit can reveal Truth to them who are seeking ABBA and not man's religion. Why would this site banned you for? Be Bless

Of course it is,

yet it was fulfilled in Christ,

Because we cannot fulfill it in ourselves.

Some here are totally missing my point. All i see is "new day Pharisees" puffing themselves up to "look good" because they keep the Sabbath. You will accept me because of my faith in Christ but you will condemn me because i dont "keep the Sabbath". Will Jesus do the same? Will Jesus condemn me because i "did not keep the Sabbath"? Or will Jesus accept me because of my faith in Him?

to be devils advocate, the sabbath was for our benefit, Should we not keep it?

Other than that, I agree

But we are now under a new covenant. We are no longer under the law. And also when is the true Sabbath rest for us?

I have no problem with the day of rest because we sure as heck need it. The problem lies in the condemnation of others because they dont follow the "Saturday Sabbath".

I am not condemning you bro.

Just saying should we not keep it?

Not under law means the law can not condemn us, it does not mean parts of the law are still not to be used as a guide.

Oh no brother i wouldnt even think you were condemning me. And you hit the nail on the head by saying "parts of the law are still to be used as a guide. Paul even tells us this in Romans 15:4 "For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope." We know God set up the Sabbath as a day of rest but i personally dont think we should make the Sabbath a "legalistic" law that we must follow to live our lives for Christ. When we make it a "must do" to be Christian we just add another law just like the Pharisees used to do.

See my point? every day should be a day we "rest" in the Lord. Not by not working but by living our lives for Him. How many people think that because they go to church once a week they are Christian? Do we actually put out the wrong message by this?

I guess this would be my main problem with the Sabbath teaching. We spend a good bit of time arguing this but how much time do we spend in the Gospel?

Sorry its really hard for me to put this in message form and i probably messed up my point lol.

you must have missed my post on #123,

please show where the sabbath was changed, you have not proved youre claim by those verses.
Well the whole debate here is the church under the law if Moses or are they justified by faith apart from the law... clearly its by faith and clearly the church did not meet on the sabbath but on the first day of the week. just as the Holy spirit clearly records for us. If you can produce any instance where the church gathered on the sabbath?

Guide to where? Its purpose was to bring us to Christ and faith in Him . And the true rest of God is to cease from our own works of law... for it was just a shadow of Him and the rest we have in Him. So what purpose are you having in keeping the shadow and not resting in the truth. Also clearly the early church did not believe as you do but they met on the first day if the week to honor Christ and to show all that the sabbath is not in a temporal day of the week.

is it lawful to take a man wife ?
is it lawful to do good or evil on the sabbath ?
Where in genesis does it say honour you parents ? dont take God name in vain ?
I ask again, slightly different form: Did Jesus repeat these commands in the Gospels? If so, why?

And why didn't He repeat the sabbath command?

I must disagree.

the rest is to rest from working to earn salvation.

Our bodies still need rest, God gave the sabbath LONG before he gave the law. so it is not even a command of the law per say, it was just re-iterated in the law.

now, if we are resting physically because God said so. but not resting in truth, I am 100 % with you, if you are doing it to say, Hey God look at me, (to be saved) your not resting, your working, and in fact, even though you rest on the sabbath, your actually working on it, for you have not rested from your work.

what day the church meets is not the sabbath, this is just another legalistic view.

they met continually (probably daily) in the NT.

the sabbath is a day of rest, not a day of worship.

we should worship every day!

Out of curiosity, do you have a parapet on your roof?
No, it is not a dwelling place like the houses were in that time but I do have a parapet (handrail) around my deck so that no one falls off.

I would assume that you don't since you wouldn't be guilty of keeping that old Law. You just let people take their chances and hope they don't sue you for your irresponsibility?

And why didn't He repeat the sabbath command?
And why didn't He repeat this one?

Lev 18:23 Nor shall you mate with any animal, to defile yourself with it. Nor shall any woman stand before an animal to mate with it. It is perversion.

Same reason? You think that these Laws were done away? Why would Christ have to repeat the entirety of the Torah? If He did not repeat every single sentence then you think it was done away?

Of course it is,

yet it was fulfilled in Christ,

Because we cannot fulfill it in ourselves.
So we cannot keep it perfectly ourselves we don't keep it at all? We just go out and murder because after all we cannot keep the Law perfectly? We commit adultery because we cannot keep that Law perfectly?

Since we cannot obey perfectly, we don't even try? Try ignoring the eighth Commandment when you go to the bank. You just take whatever you want regardless of whose it is?

Od do you keep some of these Laws? Just not the fourth one.

Well let me ask, how good do you look to God for breaking HIS Sabbath?
In what way do you consider "breaking His Sabbath"? By not working "your job" for the day? I dont work weekends any way. Or do you consider "breaking the Sabbath" by not following all the Sabbath day laws? Im not Jewish. Or do you consider "breaking the Sabbath" not being in Gods Word all day? Im in Gods Word every day as part of daily study. Or do you consider "breaking the Sabbath" going to church Sunday rather than Saturday?

So what are the Sabbath laws i must follow? Oh im sorry we are no longer under the Mosaic laws now that we are under the new covenant.
