Good luck with anybody believing that. Obama said we aren't a Christian country, and he was right. We're now a hybrid country. Less than half the country believes our government should be exclusively Christian at all--perhaps a very small minority. Do *you* even believe we should be an *exclusively*-Christian country?
Obama being one of the first to say this. But check out my post 1300. When I speak of a Christian nation I speak of foundation and history. Not the current culture. The culture has changed for generations but so far the foundation still stands. It could very soon be uprooted but not yet.

“For what great nation is there that has God so near to it, as the Lord our God is to us, for whatever reason we may call upon Him? And what great nation is there that has such statutes and righteous judgments as are in all this law which I set before you this day? Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren, especially concerning the day you stood before the Lord your God in Horeb, when the Lord said to me, ‘Gather the people to Me, and I will let them hear My words, that they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children

We did not teach our children.

I had meant to ask @Roughsoul1991 if he has a response to this Post #1262... I know Truth7t7 won't have one.
I agree. Really nothing to say other than it is clearly evident this took place in AD 70. The place was practically leveled and the piles of rubble are still there today as the city built over or around it.

The more I look at Israel the more I think we are leading up to a 2nd Red Sea Event.

Once Israel conquers Gaza, she will move on to Lebanon and Syria and finally Jordan to recreate
the ancient land of Israel. Watching the dollar slowly collapse one wonders how much longer America will have her back. It is very hard not to see Israel at some point become a total international pariah state.

I think at some point she will be surrounded by enemies and then God will miraculously save her.
I think that is in line with prophetic scripture.

Zechariah 12 2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
Jerusalem and the Jews are destined for Gods wrath, when the future Antichrist takes his seat in Jerusalem

Only the Remnant Elect Jew Will Be Called And Chosen, Those Whom God Foreknew, And Added To The Church Present On Earth

Israel/Jerusalem will see the future fulfilling of the Gentiles for 42 months Rev 11:2, and the future slaughter of 2/3 of the Jews in the land will be cut off and die Zechariah 13:8, Luke 21:20-23

Revelation 11:2KJV
2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

Zechariah 13:8KJV
8 And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.

Luke 21:20-23KJV
20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.

The supreme court does acknowledge the existence of God as we place our hand on the bible and swear to tell the truth.
But does that person swearing the oath believe in that God? Or any god for that matter.
Notice that the oath giver is never asked that question. The oath has just become a formality.
The earlier church of the states got much involved into political and community matters but as time passed it's involvement lessened.
amen and the Ten Commandments is right above the Supreme Court Justice where they preside.

"No" the Great Tribulation of Matthew 24:21 Below didnt take place in the 70AD Roman Destruction of Jerusalem, (Preterism) in 70AD fulfillment is a false teaching.

As clearly taught by the (Time Stamp)

Daniel's Abomination seen in verse 15 below "Starts" the great tribulation in verse 21, as the instruction to flee Jerusalem is given, the future Antichrist takes his seat, as the time of the gentiles "Starts"

You cant have a tribulation in 70AD, and immediately after a 70AD tribulation a second coming of Jesus Christ in the clouds of heaven, all tied together by the (Time Stamp)

The Abomination of Desolation, The Great Tribulation, And The Second Coming are "Future" events unfulfilled

Matthew 24:15-21 & 29-31KJV
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

No. Not wrath. I think simply that as long as Israel tries to understand scripture without the Holy Spirit,
they dig a big hole for themselves.

I may be completely wrong, so please correct me, but it seems to me that Israel is taking the promise in the sense that it can colonize/invade all the land it was not given in 1948, the end goal being the ownership of the original land of the fathers.

Gen 17: 8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession

Deuteronomy 30: 5 And the Lord thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it;

Your claim is false, it will be Gods "Vengence" & "Wrath" as scripture clearly teaches below

But anyway, according to you, the Jews have been enjoying a picnic for 2000 odd years, and now the real punishment starts. I think that is what you are saying........

Why are the destined for God's wrath? I thought God had discarded them. Well that is what you've been saying for a few weeks.
And I thought the Covenants were fulfilled in Christ - So if they are fulfilled, there is nothing left.
Under what Covenant are they being destroyed....just curious.

Gods words clearly teach 2/3 will be cut off and die in the land of Israel, only 1/3 will be saved and added to the Church, its that simple, something you have a hard time accepting as Gods words in factual truth

Zechariah 13:8KJV

I did not say the fall of the temple was the tribulation period. It was only within the series of events to come. We are on a timeline where parts have already occurred.
