When I look at OT prophecy of things that have occured. I see that they were literally fulfilled. Especially when it came top Jesus first comming
1. We are told where he will come (bethlehem) (Micah 5: 2 - fulfilled Matt 2: 4-6)
2. He will be born of a virgin (Is 7: 14 fulfilled Luke 1: 35)
3. He will come out of egypt (Hosea 11: 1 fulfilled Matt 2: 14 - 15)
4. He will speak in Parables (Ps 78: 1-2 fulfilled Matt 13: 34 - 35
5. He will perform miracles (Is 35: 5-6)
6. Messiah will come on a donkey (Zach 9: 9 fulfilled Matt 21: 8-10)
7 Psalms 22 - he will be
forsaken, He is
ridiculed, They will say "
“He trusted in the Lord, let Him rescue Him;
Let Him deliver Him, since He delights in Him!”
I am poured out like water,
And
all My bones are out of joint;
My
heart is like wax;
It has melted [
e]within Me.
15 My s
trength is dried up like a potsherd,
And
My tongue clings to My jaws;
You h
ave brought Me to the dust of death.
16 For dogs have surrounded Me;
The congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me.
They pierced My hands and My feet;
17 I can count all My bones.
They look and stare at Me.
18 They divide My garments among them,
And for My clothing they cast lots.
Fulfilled Matt 27. Mark 15, Luke 23 and John 19
These and so many other prophecies were fullfilled to the T. Exactly as God said they would.
Now I can imagine many people up until these things happened do like many today. They can;t explain them so they excuse them away or make a spiritual application. But as we can see. those after saw, these things happened. and we know it. It PROVES he is the one true God.
As for Matt 24.
It says they (the readers) will SEE an ABOMINATION (idol or unclean thing) Standing in the HOLY PLACE
so until this happens. Just like until we saw the the cross. we can determine, it has not happened yet.
15 “Therefore
when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand),
It says after the reader sees this, what will happen. A time of great tribulation which has not been nor shall ever be. This time will be so great. if it is not shortened no flesh (life) will survive
Matt 24: 21 For
then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened,
no flesh would be saved; but
for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.
It says how this tribulation will end.
1 Jesus will return
2. The whole world will see Jesus in the clouds and they will warn, because they realise their time is up
3. At this time, the elect will be gathered from the 4 corners.
29 “
Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 Then
the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His [
d]elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
so until all of these things happen as we are told, Just like until we saw the the cross (Using that as our precidence) . we can determine that non of these things have happened yet.
