Yes yes yes, actually believe that one hundred percent, He has shown me weaknesses within that i was totally delusional about. But like what Nehemiah said, with ourselves, it is more an inside job, but like you said earlier, we should know if we are sincerely seeking in all ways, if we our hearts are authentic.

I was saved very young and there was a time when God made no sense to me at all. and I fell away pretty hard also

that verse in Jeremiah is beautiful. God, of course knowing how awfully I had been deceived by 'Christians' and having His heart full of mercy, also gave me a beautiful verse in scripture that He directed me to. I heard the reference in my mind and turned to it and this is what He gave me:

He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Psalm 107:20

You see that was the first time, I actually really looked and meditated on that verse. Oh Lord, thank you for Your word. Do you think in that particular verse, it is speaking of Christ, or the scriptures? It could applied to both, huh, since He is the word?

Jesus is the word...the words He speaks are life and truth...so many comparisons can be made

I know when I received that verse from Psalms, it took anchor and to this day it is true. that is about when I really began to study and understand how I had come to be deceived...I was in my 20's so that was not yesterday haha

you're welcome. it is good to know that struggling with God is real, it happens but He knows our hearts and can transform even the worst moments
