Both the NIV and NASB remove "God" from this verse in the context it is in.

The next three verses are an outright "rewrite" that totally changes the meaning of the Scripture involved. It is so blatantly evil that I am confused how people hold on to these Bibles at all.

ISA 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [how] art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

The NIV removes "O Lucifer" and replaces it with "O morning star"

The NASB removes "O Lucifer" and replaces it with "O star of the morning." Why is this such a big deal? Because REV 22:16 plainly states that, "I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, [and] the bright and morning star." Jesus is the bright and morning star, NOT Lucifer!

ACTS 17:22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, [Ye] men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.

Both the NIV and NASB change the words "too superstitious" to "very religious"

COL 2:18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

Both the NIV and the NASB replace "not seen" with "has seen"

Pretty eye-opening isn't it? It is a sad thing when you think about all the ministers out there that were TAUGHT with these Bibles. It makes it easier to understand now why only 2% of all American student ministers believe in a second coming of Jesus now doesn't it? This was the results of a "Pittsburgh Press" poll taken on Sept 24, 1977. That's over 20 years ago people! These students are PASTOR'S, PREACHERS, AND MINISTERS RIGHT NOW ALL ACROSS THIS LAND!

Notice the following verses. See if you don't see a "different" message emerging from these alterations of man.

ROM 11:6 And if by grace, then [is it] no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if [it be] of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

Both the NIV and NASB remove the phrase "But if [it be] of works, then is it no more grace:" from this verse.

Both the NIV and the NASB remove "through his blood" from this verse.

MARK 9:42 And whosoever shall offend one of [these] little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

Thank you Nalu, and that's exactly right. For example, when a fellow brother in Christ wrote that there are many homosexual churches springing up across the country, a lot of them having around 2 or 3 thousand members. He pointed out that the version they use is the NIV, which is the most popular bible version right now in the world. He also made this statement and I quote him saying: "If we can make the word of God more vague, less defined, and less condemning, then we can appeal to a wider audience and sell more bibles."

And yea, I am sure there are people who are using many of these modern versions as a way to condone their sinful lifestyles since it does not contradict their belief on what is right and wrong morally. Also; interestingly enough, many of the people who are apart of the modern Emergent Church movement for the most part are using the modern versions. Of course, there could be few that still use the KJV, but that is likely very rare.

And yes; being that we are in the last days, it will only get worse from here on out.

But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. - 2 Timothy 3:13

I believe that Bible prophecy is being fulfilled right before our eyes, especially in regards to the falling away that the Holy Bible talks about in 2 Thessalonians 2:3.

If you just look at verse 6 and 7 yes it looks distorted. It SEEMS like the KJV is talking about God preserving His Words and the NIV saying that he will preserve people. BUT if you look back to the verse leading up to these two verses God is talking about preserving people in both. You CANNOT remove verses from context to warp the meaning.

It says "Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you. Such a person also goes into great detail about what they have seen; they are puffed up with idle notions by their unspiritual mind." No change in meaning just different grammar. I find that most people that have issue with these type of things really need to take a grammar class.

Of course, there could be few that still use the KJV, but that is likely very rare.

probably more false doctrine has come from people who use the king james version than from any other bible translation...

much of that is probably just an effect of the fact that the king james version has been around longer...and false teachers have had more time to figure out how to make it 'work' for them...

but it -is- getting more and more easy to use the king james version to promote false doctrine and distort the meaning of scripture...because fewer and fewer people are able to understand and correctly interpret the archaic language of the king james version...

Preservation and Psalm 12:6-7

Check out the link given above. Reading Psalm 12 in context shows that this Psalm is referring to the preservation of the words of the LORD.

Well, the context is clear CanadaNZ, and the context and poetic structure points to word preservation. And just because the majority of today's modern day scholars declare the sinaiticus and vaticanus to be the best manuscripts doesn't make them right either nor does it make their statement true. I recommend you read The Revision Revised by Dean John William Burgon. Excellent book exposing the corruption of the sinaiticus and vaticanus manuscripts which most if not all modern day bible versions are based upon.

Amen. Even other additions like the end of Mark 16. Which are not found in most ancient texts. We know they should not be there, because according to them anyone who is saved can drink poison or be bit by a poisonous snake and not die. yet we know this is not true. Yet all versions seem to carry them. The nice thing about the NASB bible I have is it has in parantheses, or marks it out. and states this is not included in most translations. as it does other area's, It lets us know all the words, even words it changes. WHich is honorable I think.

Shroom2, yes the KJV is a translation. But it is also the word of God. There are no errors in the KJV. The King James Bible is the preserved, infallible and inerrant word of God. WHen the New Testament apostles quoted from the Old Testament, they translated from Hebrew into Koine Greek.
