With respect, "study" in the verse you reference (2 Tim 2:15) was a 16th-century term. It doesn't mean "study" as we use the word today. Its meaning is closer to "work".

Actually -->BE DILIGENT is the best translation of the word......to stand approved before God one must cut straight the word of God <--BE DILIGENT.....

As I have scanned this thread I have come to the conclusion I need to revamp and use the "CAKE TAKER" statement again....why...because this thread and some of the things said takes the cake for being drivel, blather and or bloviating........
