So the translstors for sure got it right? Are you a greek or hebrew scholar? I bet not , you don't know. You are taking it in faith. Faith in translators. That is fine. Do what you want. I see it differently. .I will not be king james only because I have come to my conclusions. You have a different conclusion. That is ok. We don't have to agree. God bless. I don't want to argue any more
Hey, RJ, how's that new bible treating you?

Did you get the International Inductive Study Bible like i mentioned? That's a good one , for pure word knowledge study without a lot of fanfare notations on the pages. All the learning stuff/helps/notes/studies are in the front pages and backs . It's NIV, by the way.

No Jason, you are the one who is wrong.
Read my post higher up on this thread, and then perhaps we can elevate the debate beyond the level of everyone just saying "no YOU'RE wrong" to each other.

if people read more shakespeare, they wouldn't find the kjv so "archaic"
but if they read their kjv more - they would all the more enjoy reading shakespeare.

i'm glad i don't hear about a "txt msg" translation
:p

Hey Green. I do have an inductive study bible. My hebrew greek keyword study bible is one of my favorites right now. Have a good one.

Why should people have to read a text that they don't have to read, in order to better understand a particular translation (that they don't have to read) of another text? That seems silly to me.

For what it's worth, I'm a huge Shakespeare fan and did some lit study involving Shakespeare as part of my university degree. But I'm not going to force people to read Shakespeare (especially ONLY the direct text with its archaisms, and no other notes or anything to improve understanding). It would be a bit like me forcing everyone to read the Canterbury Tales (which are NOTORIOUSLY difficult to read, even though its still technically English). Or, for that matter, forcing everyone to read the Bible in Greek. There's simply no need.

Well I can say that hebrew is a very special language invented by God in fact every letter has its own meaning relating to God. If i Could compare it with a normal bible there so many things that are explained that cannot be explained by an english bible. Thuogh Im not saying the normal bible is powerless in fact the both are 1 and the same they carry the same message. Im learning it out of intrest thats all I can say.
yahweh teaches the truth about the Hebrew meaning to all who seek HIM, and ask HIM what HE MEANS in HIS WORD. then, later, they find out that the Hebrew Language agrees with what yahweh taught them ! HE IS AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!! (and sooooooo simple and pure and truth and nourishing and helpful and clean and upright ) **p.s. no idolatry is clear also. no graven images. et al...... no question about these things in TRUTH, HIS WORD, and HEBREW.

Hey guys
this is an illegal thread. :)

Rom 1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness;
full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Rom 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
Rom 1:31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
Rom 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
Rom 2:1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man

that's true, but in the internet, what do you expect ? there's no ...... ...... ...... authority to put away the evil ...... whether it is possible or not, I don't know --- haven't seen it except in a few small sites and fellowships....

It's great that you posted this.
I feel no love here at all.

test everything. don't trust mankind/ men/ human institutions or human ways....
don't expect to ever find 'love' by 'feelings' --- nor to give 'love' as if it is a feeling.... do what yahweh says, always. and let every word be as yahweh speaks.
