GOD would be a liar if Abraham doesn't get to enjoy his land that GOD promised him.
Abraham will enjoy it, when he is resurrected and is on this earth during the millennial kingdom ruling with Christ. But prior to that, we will sit with Abraham, Isaak and Jacob at the wedding feast in heaven:

"I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven."

If we take all things into account, the New Jerusalem does NOT come down to the earth, but remains in orbit over the earth. Since there will be no sun, the New Jerusalem will provide light to the New Earth, therefore it must remain as a heavenly body over the New Earth. And that is at is should be. As Scripture says "our citizenship is in Heaven".
That's exactly the conclusion that I came to, because if the city was sitting on the earth, then it could not give light to it, but only in the area that it would be located at. I'm guessing that in our immortal and glorified bodies we will not need to sleep, since scripture states that there will be no night and there will be no sun or moon, meaning that there will be no separation of night and day. And unfortunately for surfers, there will be no oceans. But I'm sure that there will be much more adventurous things to do in eternity.

This might be the most bizarre op and thread I've ever read in here. I mean that literally, not symbolically. :D

GOD would be a liar if Abraham doesn't get to enjoy his land that GOD promised him.
Christians -- at least -- should NEVER talk about God being a liar. And since you had to bring this up, God now makes you a liar through Scripture.
By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. (Hebrews 11:9,10).

What do these verses say? Let's take an in-depth look at it.

1. Abraham was a sojourner in Canaan, thus living in tents.

2. Even though we are not told this in Genesis, God gave him a vision of the New Jerusalem. That is the only way that he could "look for this city" as a future expectation.

3. This city has a divine builder -- God -- who not only created it, but made it into a beautiful heavenly city as revealed in Revelation. It also has 12 foundations, hence "a city which hath foundations". Those foundations are dedicated to the 12 apostles (Paul included, Judas Iscariot excluded).

4. Abraham had no expectation of living on earth. He -- along with all the OT patriarchs and saints -- is already in the New Jerusalem, called "the spirits of just men made perfect" (Heb 12:22-14).

5. We Christians will sit with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the New Jerusalem, along with Elijah and Enoch and Abel. We must study Hebrew 11 & 12 as one unit, and believe it.

Why would supernatural things be bizarre to anyone who is a spiritual person? The things of the Spirit are revealed by the Spirit.

I don't see saying that we are not the bride of Christ as a supernatural thing of God. I see it as bizarre.

Correct. That is indeed a false view of the Bride of Christ. And a lot has been posted to refute such nonsense.

Christians -- at least -- should NEVER talk about God being a liar. And since you had to bring this up, God now makes you a liar through Scripture.
Well let's take a look at that, shall we?

GOD made a blood covenant with Abraham as surety that he would receive the land that GOD promised him. Again, GOD would be a liar if he didn't give the land to Abraham.

And [GOD] said unto him, I [am] the LORD that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it. And [Abram] said, Lord GOD, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it? ... In the same day the LORD made a [blood] covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: Genesis 15:7-8, 18

The book of Hebrews says that Abraham looked for a city built by GOD.

By faith [Abraham] sojourned in the land of promise, as [in] a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker [is] God. Hebrews 11:9-10

John saw the city built by GOD descending from heaven to where men are. Obviously it was not with men before it descended.

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, [and be] their God. Revelation 21:2-3
Therefore, the only logical conclusion is that the new Jerusalem descends from heaven to earth where Abraham is enjoying his inheritance that GOD promised him. GOD is not a liar.

This statement does not seem to fit with a literal reading. Literal reading is not "revealed by the Spirit", by by normal, common, "fleshy" reading :)

Could it be that just as Adam's wife came out of his rib (near his heart) as he slept so likewise Jesus Christ who also slept had a rib from His Body (the church) that is next to His heart become His Bride?

Mere coincidence?
