Homward thanks for post 429, it is the clearest of your last three posts, # 425 & 427 were very confusing. But even in # 429 I MAY see the seed of the error of your thinking. correct me, if I am wrong. For one thing: I think your thoughts run together and make your statements confusing.??? I won't get into what was confusing, as that leads to more confusion. LOL. But, the error in your theology is: you think one can get to the place where ones does not act anymore, But lets Jesus do our living through us. You get to become a puppet for God to live through. This, to me is a very wrong error, to,"let go and let God" do my living. That is a passivity that, in my thinking, is foreign to the Bible. To me, this is totally irresponsible , because God commands US to "be holy as I am holy" and we are told,"I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me". and "work out your own salvation". Love to all, HGoffco
Thanks Hoffco, admonishment is good to be aware:
Who did Christ follow?
Did Christ do any work on or of his own?
Who did Christ depend upon 100% of the time?
So was, is Christ a puppet? Not by force by choice

Is this not the same for us to be willing puppets used by Father to do the works through us that are needed to be done?

John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

If I take credit for any works, I nullify God amazing grace.

Galatians 3:1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
Galatians 3:2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Galatians 3:3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
Galatians 3:4 Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain.

The battle is between the flesh and the Spirit of God in setting one free

Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Galatians 4:29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

All I know is that Jesus said, after we have done all that we can do, that we are to consider ourselves to be lowly servants doing what we have been commanded to do.......

No doubt to all of what you have said and I most definitely believe that we are about out of time as (the night is far spent) and the end of the age seems to be around the corner......too bad for humanity (lost humanity that is)...you know I look forward to the following...

1. Bowing before Jesus and being able to acknowledge Him in a glorified body without seeking forgiveness for the sins that I have committed.

2. Having a complete understanding of the truth

3. Meeting my dad who was killed when I was three..as well as other family members that were saved

4. Never getting sick again and or no pain/tears

5. Seeing my broken son in a new glorified body

6. The eternal ages of grace and being able to sit under my own vine

Just to name a few.....
Oh glory glory, God is in charge and gives freedom and is why I chose God to be his bond-servant, here now today, and forever, God is Faithful to:
Philippians 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
1 Thessalonians 2:13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

We are the Bride trusting Father through Son to do the correct works through us that need to be donme to bring in the rest of the sheep that are astray

I think you got it, to be dependent on Father as Christ was through the Holy Spirit's lead. Amazing the same Holy Spirit that led Jesus is sent to us to depend on what Father wants us to do and say. Do we believe this to be and rest from our self works that can appear so good when they are not? Anytime I get proud and or boastful, I immediately know it is not of God what I think I have accomplished, and if I do not listen, I get buffeted as Paul to bring me back to humility as in 2 Cor. 12
Where I am learning to glory in my iniquities in humility, for God's grace is sufficient for me, By my weakness God's strength is made perfect

Christ humbled himself. because he KNEW what the father wanted done was in his own best interest. But more importanlty. He KNEW what the father wanted to him to do was in the BEST INTEREST of those hoe loved (namely us)

That is how we should act.

Can't wait to drink the vintage wines with ya all.
[[Isa 25:6]] ISV “On this mountain, the Lord of the Heavenly Armies will prepare for all peoples a banquet of rich food, a banquet of well-aged wines— rich food full of marrow, and refined wines of the finest vintage
Just think how good it will all be....coming soon it seems as well.

Yes and maybe not act: rather trust in Father and be; no more trying, maybe? I see it this way, no credit to me all to Father thanks to Christ, for putting us in direct contact with Father, to be a doer not a hearer, that just tries to follow and can't not perfectly anyway, maybe?
I mean if one is trying that is good, and one can't quite get there perfectly through trying, because flesh is weak, the Spirit willing. And today after the cross we receive the Spirit to do, leaving the flesh desad in its tracks

Seeing it as is, sooner or later coming soon; to me it is now in the midst of adversity and am elated over it, never the less not my will, Father's only
The love, joy, peace and righteousness of Father is delivered to us here and now from Father thanks to Christ's death, burial and resurrection with the ascension that has sent us the Spirit of Abba Father to teach us truth over error and set us free right here right now in the midst of all the troubles we have, being now content in all things not a few all, living by the Soirit of God only, Flesh being alive because of the Spirit of God
Acts 17:28 for in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

All I know is we live in very interesting and exciting times as the world marches rank and file towards destruction to the drums beats of wickedness and the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob comes soon to seize the Throne of David to rule with a rod of iron, and the believers of the world who have been rejected, killed, mocked, ridiculed, beaten, ostracized and or jailed will finally be vindicated when Jesus is vindicated!

I am so grateful for the strength of Christ as I know that when I overcome anything it is not I that overcame, but Christ through me that has overcome!

No doubt as one of the four subordinate clauses found in Ephesians when it calls for being continually filled with the Spirit is the ability to Give thanks unto God and the Father through Jesus Christ our Lord. We should be willing to thank God for all things, as all things work to the good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose!
