Where in the Bible does it talk about commuting to work in a motor vehicle. You won't find anything about it but it is neither pagan nor improper.
What you and most other Christians refer to concerning the Christian fish is found out side the teaching of the bible. None of it is found within the bible unless the reference of Christian fish is about men like fish of the sea, and/or fishers of men. All teaching of fish in the New Testament is about people, even to say if a Christian sets out to catch fish, and they do not talk to Jesus about where they might find some, that person sets out into darkness and comes back empty handed. Every thing Jesus said and did, every place He went is the fulfillment of law and words of the prophets. Every person who teaches the empty understanding of two lines drawn in the sand and do not teach the greater personal witness concerning the Christian fish, lead people away from the teaching of he bible out of ignorance.

All the people in the synagogue were furious when they heard this. They got up, drove him out of the town, and took him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw him off the cliff. But he walked right through the crowd and went on his way.
(Luke 4:28-30)

At this they tried to seize him, but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come.
(John 7:30)

Again they tried to seize him, but he escaped their grasp.
(John 10:39)

maybe your brothers and sisters have things to complete as well .. ?
did David lay his head on the chopping block for Saul, tempting God, or did he flee and hide in the caves, and among his enemies?
did Christ throw himself down from the temple, as Satan tempted Him to?

what Jah has purposed will surely come to pass, in the time He set for it. i am only saying that i do not think it is my place to accuse the early church of having 'lost its soul' or of being 'hypocrites' just because they met in secret and used the sign of the fish to mark where they could safely gather. my God sees what is done in secret, and rewards openly, but who does their works in order to be seen by men, He said they have already received their reward in full.

I owe you an apology for pressing you so brashly towards understanding the image of the Christian fish when you replace the word "fish" with the image of the Christian fish. It is literally written; God, why do You make men like FISH of the sea; like creatures who wonder as if they have no ruler over them. These are the lost Jesus spoke of when He said, "Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men." When you replace the word FISH with the image of the Christian fish, you will be able to see how and why Jesus said, I'll make you fishers of men. A person does not understand unless he or she places themselves on both ends of the fishing pole to see what is taking place on a personal level. A Christian first comes from a place of sin that seems natural ("men like fish of the sea"), to be where we are today in Christ. These two 'places' are revealed by Jesus when He said, "Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men." There is a personal reason for the name of this thread; but it is not in any way something that leads people away from the meaning of what Jesus has done and is doing. Think of it. Have you heard this witness of I am giving concerning the Christian FISH? Which of these teachings have something to do about and for you concerning the fish? When I say, "I don't much care for camping in the snow, but I love to go fishing in the streets" Is this about Christ's name being hidden, or His name spelled in Greek?

The Greek word for "fish" is "ichthus" which forms an acrostic
I = Jesus (Iesous)
CH = Christ (Christos)
TH = God (Theous)
U = Son (Uios)
S = Savior (Soter)

and the fish was used by the early Christians to avoid persecution and death.
What does this teaching outside the bible have to do with your life in Christ today? How many people honestly go out and give witness to strangers? Why would anyone even want to do something like that?

Hummm....interesting. I always wondered about the fish.
When Jesus said to Peter, Go down to the water, lower a hook, take the first fish that comes up and remove the coin from its mouth; This is not only about you, it is also the fulfillment of an Old Testament Law which Jesus did within you. But because people are not taught that the Christian fish is about them, the teaching remains hidden.

The same thing George Washington has to do with my life in Christ today.

It's not "teaching, it's history, and it is profitable, for those who forget history are destined to repeat it.

And you have less Biblical basis for objecting to it than they have for discussing it.
