You can't..

That's why if you CLAIM you have faith, but have no works, you are a liar. and was never saved to begin with. because your faith was dead. (James)

True faith has works, There is no if's, and's or but's about it..

So I add works to grace, and make a false gospel. because I have to have works to prove to you or someone else I had real faith?

FAITH PRODUCES WORK.

it is not PROOF of work.. You have it wrong. (it can PROVE work, but in the context of James, it was to PROVE TO YOURSELF you are saved, Not for others to determine if you are saved or not.)

your asking the wrong question, the question should be asked the way James asked it, If I have faith, (real living faith) How can I not have works,

what is so hard to understand?

a person who has living faith WILL have works (not might have works, WILL) a person who has mere belief, (paul calls DEAD FAITH) But no faith WILL NOT HAVE WORKS

and again I will ask, WHy does God need you to prove your faith? Is God weak?
