Three Qur'an Verses Every Christian Should Know

Islam is often presented as a very simple religion: it is just submission to Allah. But if you dig a little deeper you find out in the Qur'an, Sura 4 verse 65, that submission to Allah requires complete obedience to all of Muhammad's decisions, and that is where Islam gets a lot more complicated, because Mohammed's decisions are spread across thousands of stories in the Hadiths.

Most Christians don't have the time, or the sources, or the desire, to go through all this material, and figure out what Islam teaches. No problem. That's what we're here for, and we are happy to serve that role in the body of Christ.

But we should all keep in mind that there are more than one 1.6 billion Muslims in the world, and that Islam places a strong emphasis on preaching, and winning converts. Chances are, we are we are not going to be there when your Muslim friends preach Islam to you, or when your children go off to college, and hear about how wonderful Islam is, not only from their Muslim friends, but also from their professors.

It seems then that Christians in general need to know something about Islam. Rather than throw everything at you at once, I'm going to give you three simple verses. Now I would love to see Christians around the world learn maybe a dozen or so Qur'an verses that I think are very important. But if I were to narrow down the list to just three verses, these would be the three.

First: Surah 4 verse 157 (by the way those are basically chapters) Chapter 4 verse 157. This verse gives you the Islamic View of Jesus' crucifixion. Let's read it.

They said in boast (they here are the Jews) we killed Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah, but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts with no certain knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of assurity they killed him not.

Notice that Jesus was not killed, he wasn't even crucified. Islam denies that the crucifixion of Jesus ever took place. But if Jesus was never crucified, why do people believe that He died on the cross?

The Islamic view is that Allah miraculously disguised someone
to make him look like Jesus, and it was this other person who was crucified, not Jesus. The reason you believe that Jesus died, according to Islam, is that Allah did an excellent job tricking everyone.

It is interesting to ponder the theological depths false prophets
will go to to in order to deny what Jesus did for us.

Second: Sura 5 verse 47

Muslims often claim that the Bible has been corrupted, but there are plenty of verses in the Qur'an which show that if the Bible has been corrupted, Allah certainly doesn't know anything about it.

5:47 is one of these verses. In 5:47
Allah commands Christians to judge by the gospel. He says, let the people of the Gospel judge by what Allah has revealed therein. If any do fail to judge by the light of what Allah hath revealed, they are no better than those who rebel.

Allah commands us to judge by the gospel, and he says that we are rebels if we don't. Clearly we can only judge by the gospel if we actually have the gospel.

So the Qur'an assumes that we have reliable Scriptures. Of course if we obey Allah and we judge by the gospel, we have to judge that Islam is false, because Islam contradicts the gospel. The gospel says that Jesus died on the cross; the Qur'an Sura 4 verse 157 says that he didn't. The Qur'an tells us to judge by the gospel. Therefore, if we listen to the Qur'an, we have to reject the Qur'an.

Third: Sura 9 verse 29. If you have never understood why Christians and other religious minorities are so horribly mistreated in places like Iraq, and Egypt, and Pakistan, the reason for the abuse is found in the Qur'an. Allah commands Muslims, once they are in the majority, to violently subjugate Christians and Jews.

Allah says in 9:29
Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the last day (notice it says, fight those who do not believe, not fight in self-defense. This is a command to fight people on their beliefs) nor hold that forbidden which has been forbidden by Allah and his messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of truth from among the people of the book (people of the book are Jews and Christians) until they pay the jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

Muslims are commanded to fight us until we pay tribute to them and feel ourselves subdued. We have to acknowledge our inferiority, and accept our status as second-class citizens who don't have the same rights as Muslims. This command has probably led to more oppression than any other command in history.

If you watch my videos you might already be familiar with these three verses. I would encourage you to pass this video onto your friends. Islam's most powerful asset in the West, with the possible exception of political correctness is ignorance. If people don't know anything about Islam, then Muslim preachers, along with groups like CAIR and ISNA, can pretty much say whatever they want to say about Islam, and nobody will know any better. But if certain facts about Islam become common knowledge, our discussions with our Muslim friends will be much more productive.

Striving to institute world-wide sharia law is an Islamic religious duty.

Point number two @ 3:12

Many people don't realize how politically oriented Islam is at its core.
In fact, Islam is less of a religion than it is a religious ideology.

It includes a mandatory and highly specific legal and political plan for
the whole society: Sharia. There is no separation between the religious
and the political in Islam. Rather, Islam and Sharia constitute a
totalitarian means of ordering society at every level, including:

ritual worship, transactions and contracts, morals and manners,
beliefs, and punishments. In the Qur'an, Islam makes it clear that
man made governments such as a democracy, and free speech,
such as criticizing the
Qur'an, are abominations, and must be eliminated.

The modern expression, "creeping sharia" is used to describe the slow
deliberate and methodical advance of Islamic law in non Muslim counties.

Official sharia courts already operate in the UK, handling cases ranging
from divorce and financial disputes to domestic violence. Attempts to
introduce sharia in the legal system in Germany, Sweden and other
European countries are ongoing.

While sharia already has a foot in our door in the matter of minor disputes
like inheritance and domestic violence, it should concern you that sharia:

commands that drinkers and gamblers should be whipped; allows husbands
to hit their wives; allows an injured plaintiff to exact legal revenge,
literally an eye for an eye; commands that a thief must have a hand cut off;
commands that homosexuals must be executed; orders unmarried fornicators
to be whipped, and adulterers to be stoned to death; orders death for both Muslim
and non Muslim critics of Muhammad, the
Qur'an, and even sharia itself; orders
apostates to be killed; commands offensive, aggressive, and unjust jihad.

As written in the
Qur'an, sharia is the law of Allah; any other form
of government is a sin. It is the duty of every Muslim to keep striving
until all governments have been converted to sharia law.

Christians sometimes wonder, why should we learn about Islam?
There are lots of reasons why people in general, but especially
Christians, should be learning about Islam. Let's consider five of them.

First, numbers. Islam is the second largest religion in history after Christianity. There are about one point six billion Muslims in the world (1,600,000,000). That's over a fifth of the world's population. There are currently more than twelve hundred (1,200) mosques in the United States, and more than six thousand (6,000) in Europe, and according to many sources, Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world. So Islam is big, and it is getting bigger. When that many people believe something, it is a good idea to learn what they believe.

Second, Christians can't communicate the gospel clearly to Muslims without understanding what Muslims believe, because the Qur'an distorts the meaning of what Christians claim. For instance, Christians claim that Jesus is the Son of God, but when we say Jesus is the Son of God, Muslims think we are claiming that God had sex with a woman, and produced Jesus as an offspring. They believe this because the Qur'an says, how can Allah have a son, when he has no wife? Sura 6:101

Now, when Christians call Jesus the Son of God, we're not talking about God having sex and producing an offspring. No Christian has ever meant that, but that's what Muslims think we mean, because the Qur'an says that's what it means to call someone the Son of God.

There's a similar problem when it comes to the doctrine of the Trinity. According to the Qur'an sura 5:116, Christians believe in a trinity made up of God, Jesus, and Mary. Here again, no Christian has ever believed this, but there are Muslims who think we believe in a trinity made up of God, Jesus and Mary, because of how the Qur'an distorts Christian doctrines.

So if we don't know what Muslims believe, we won't understand about
how they are misinterpreting what we say when we preach the gospel.

Third, Muslims are trained to challenge the core doctrines of Christianity. Jesus taught His followers lots of things, but when they preached the gospel in the book of Acts, they preached that Jesus is the Divine Son of God, Who died on the cross for sins, and rose from the dead. Deity, death, and resurrection. These are the three core teachings of the Christian gospel. Islam denies all three of them, and so Muslims are taught to challenge Christians on these issues.

Muslims are taught to attack Christianity where it matters most. If Christians do not know about Islam, we don't know how Muslims are going to challenge our beliefs and we are not going to know how to challenge their beliefs.

Fourth, many Muslims are so confident that Islam is true, because they have been told all their lives that it is indisputably true, that they can't seriously consider any alternatives to Islam.

My best friend in college was a Muslim; that's why I started studying Islam. We talked about Christianity for a couple of years, but, he was so confident that Islam was true, he really wasn't taking Christianity seriously. It was only after we began looking at some of the problems with Mohammed and the Qur'an, that he realized maybe what I've been told about Islam all my life isn't true. Maybe I need to think through this more carefully.

He's a Christian now. He's one of the speakers for Ravi Zacharias International Ministries. So giving Muslims some facts about Muhammad is crucial, and we can't give them these facts unless we know what the facts are.

Fifth, Islam thrives in an atmosphere of ignorance

I've met lots of converts to Islam over the years, but I have never met a single person who converted to Islam after carefully studying Islam. When I meet a convert to Islam and I ask ,why did you convert to Islam? It is almost always because the person has being given some false information. The reason so many people fall for this false information is that there is a general atmosphere of ignorance about Islam, which allows Muslim preachers to say pretty much whatever they want, because no one is going to correct them. These preachers are then free to adapt their message to the values of their audience.

In the west we believe in women's rights, so the Muslim preacher says, "You believe in women's rights? Muhammad was a champion of women's rights! He was probably the greatest defender of women who ever lived."

People in the West usually have a high respect for science, so the Muslim preacher says, "The Qur'an is filled with scientific claims that could only verified centuries after Muhammad's death. Science proves that Islam is the truth!"

In an area where no one knows much about Islam, many people believe what they hear from these Muslim preachers, and they convert to Islam. The only way this is going to stop is if we get to a point where we know enough about Islam to refute false claims. When a Muslim preacher says,
Muhammad was a champion of women's rights,
hands need to go up to question him about Qur'an verses that refute him.

(Recap) So Islam is already a massive religion and it is growing rapidly. Muslims often don't understand the gospel because they re misinterpreting our claims based on the Qur'an's distortion of our claims.

Muslims have been taught to criticize core Christian doctrines

Many Muslims can't take the gospel seriously until their own beliefs have been challenged

And people are converting to Islam based on false information

All of these are reasons for Christians to learn about Islam.

For every opinion or belief someone may hold there will be another party who just as strongly opposes that idea. Both sides usually claim to sit with the best arguments, the real facts and the correct world view, and (ironcally) both sides regard the other as being indoctrinated, blind to the obvious and outright stupid.

Most people only expose themselves to information that matches their own worldview. It is uncomfortable to do otherwise. Still, we would like to give you some surprising information about Islam. We also urge you to look further than only mainstream media, and if you can find the time for it, read the koran yourself.

To get you started, we'd like to present you three things you probably did not know about Islam.
(Please note that point number two on Sharia Law was given already in post number 100.)

1. Islam has not been hijacked. That Islam has been hijacked is what non-Muslims naturally assume, because they assume all religions are the same. The reason non-Muslims are so easily confused is that most of us don't realize the difference between the Qur'an and every other religious book we are familiar with.

The Christian Bible is a collection of writings from various authors written sometimes hundreds of years apart, with parables, advice, and dreams, all collected together into one book. Same with the Jewish Torah.

Even those of us in the west who are neither Christians nor Jews, are still familiar enough with these religions to know this much, and therefore we assume the same is true for the Qur'an. But the Qur'an is only one book written by one man in his own lifetime. It is meant to be taken literally, and it is not full of symbolism or vague analogies. It is mostly direct commands.

Of course, the Qur'an contains contradictory statements just like other religious books, but the Qur'an itself provides the reader with a way to know what to do with the contradictions. It's explained in the Qur;an that if you have two passages that contradict each other, the one written later supersedes the one written earlier.

Most westerners are unaware that the peaceful tolerant passages were written early in Mohammed's prophetic career. According to the Qur'an, those passages have been abrogated by later, more violent, and less tolerant passages. So when most westerners hear jihadists quoting violent passages from the Qur'an, and then peaceful Muslims quoting peaceful passages, they interpret that the way they would if someone
was quoting the Bible or the Torah. They think to themselves, oh, there must be many different and contradictory passages, like there are in other religious books, so Muslims can pick and choose what they like and justify whatever actions they want to take.

But the Qur'an is nothing like that. There is no picking and choosing. It says very explicitly and in no uncertain terms that a Muslim must not alter or ignore any part of its very clear and direct message, or they will burn in a fiery torment forever.

Point number three, @ 5:53

Muslims are allowed to deceive non-Muslims if it helps Islam. For non-Muslims, this principle, called taqiyya, is another surprising concept of Islam. While most other religions speak highly of truthfulness, the Qur'an instructs Muslims to lie to non-Muslims about their beliefs and their political ambitions, to protect and spread Islam. There are many examples of today's Islamic leader saying one thing in English for the western press, and then saying something entirely different to their own followers in Arabic a few days later.

Deceiving the enemy is always useful in war, and Islam is at war with the non-Islamic world until the whole world follows Sharia law. All non-Muslims living in non-Islamic states are therefore enemies, so deceiving westerners is totally acceptable - even encouraged - if it can forward the goals of the spread of Islam.

As a recent example, the Islamic American relief agency were seemingly raising money for orphans, but were in fact giving the money to terrorists. They deceived goodhearted western infidels into giving money to organizations that were actively killing western infidels.

Do the research yourself. This is not an isolated case.

Islam as a religion of peace. Muslim organizations worldwide often declare that Islam is a religion of peace. But what does that really mean? It seems easy for a Muslim to quote a peaceful verse from the early parts of the Qur'an while, by following the principle of taqiyya, neglecting to mention the fact that it has been officially abrogated by later more violent verses.

According to the Qur'an, the world will be at peace only when Islam and Sharia reign in every country - and never until then. This is why every Muslim can truthfully say that Islam is a religion of peace.

If any of these (three) points took you by surprise, then there is surely much more you still don't know. This subject will affect you in the near future, so take the chance to inform yourself now - before it does.

The Qur'an on abrogation, Sura 2:106
We do not abrogate a verse or cause it to be forgotten except that We bring forth [one] better than it or similar to it. Do you not know that Allah is over all things competent?

Sura 16:101
And when We substitute a verse in place of a verse - and Allah is most knowing of what He sends down - they say, "You, [O Muhammad], are but an inventor [of lies]." But most of them do not know.

Sura 17:86
And if We willed, We could surely do away with that which We revealed to you. Then you would not find for yourself concerning it an advocate against Us.

Facts About the Qur'an (Part One)

Islam is a collection of teachings and practices that were common in Arabia

during the time of Muhammad. There were several tribes of Jews preaching
monotheism in Arabia. These Jews had the Torah, along with tons of other
stories
that were recorded in the Talmud, and other sources. Many of the
stories in these
additional sources were based on Biblical characters, but
they were fictitious.
Stories about Abraham being delivered from a fire,
or a bird teaching Cain
to bury his brother, or Solomon talking to animals.

Muhammad heard the stories, and now they're in the Qur'an.

There were also a variety of tales about Jesus and Mary, that certain
heretical Christian
groups believed, stories about Jesus speaking at birth,
Jesus giving
life to clay birds; Mary giving birth under a palm tree, and so on.

No historian
on the planet believes that these stories are authentic,
but they were popular
in Arabia during the 7th century.

Muhammad heard them, and now they're in the Qur'an.

In Sura 18, Allah tells us that Alexander the Great traveled so far west
he found the place where the sun sets. This was a popular story during
Muhammad's lifetime; Muhammad heard it, now it's in the Qur'an.

The Qur'an even claims that Alexander the Great was a devout Muslim,
when we know historically that he was a complete pagan.

During Muhammad's time, the Sabians, who are mentioned several
times in the Qur'an, recited a creed, "there is no God but Allah."
Muhammad heard this creed and simply added the words, "and
Muhammad is his messenger." The Sabians also prayed at all 5 of
the times Muslims pray during their prescribed daily prayers.

Some of the Persians believed that after death, a paradise of sensual
delights
awaited them, complete with houris, the perpetual virgins
Muslims believe they will be awarded in Paradise.

It seems that Muhammad simply took a bunch of the beliefs and
practices the were popular in 7th century Arabia, gave them an
Islamic twist, and incorporated them into his new religion.

The pagans, by the way, thought this was hilarious.
They regularly made fun
of Muhammad for believing
everything he heard, so they called him "the ear."

Let's read a passage from Ib'-- about Muhammad
and one of his critics a man named Nabtal bin al-Harith

I have heard that it was of him that the Apostle said, whoever wants
to see Satan let him take a look at Nabtal -- He was a sturdy man
with long flowing hair, inflamed eyes, and dark ruddy cheeks.
He used to come and talk to the apostle and listen to him, and
then carry what he had said to the hypocrites. It was he who said,
Mohammed is all ears. If anyone tells him anything, he believes it.
God sent down concerning him, in Sura 9:61 of the Qur'an, and of
them are those who annoy the profit, and say he is all ears, say,
good ears for you. He believes in God and trusts the believers and
is a mercy for those of you who believe; and those who annoy the
apostle of God, for them is a painful punishment.

So the pagans could tell that Muhammad was simply
adopting stories and practices for Islamic purposes.

Not surprisingly the Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca, is saturated
in paganism and idolatry. D
uring the Hajj, Muslims walk circles around
the Kaaba, the cubicle shrine that they pray to. They kiss the black stone.

They run back and forth between the hills of Safa and Malwa and so on.

Where do they get these practices? Before Muhammad conquered
Mecca, the Kaaba was a center of pagan worship in Arabia. The
Kaaba was surrounded by three hundred and sixty pagan idols.

24:78 -- Narrated

The prophet entered Mecca, and at that time there were 360 idols
around the Kaaba. He started stabbing the idols with a stick he had
in his hand, and reciting, and say, truth i.e. Islamic monotheism or this
Jihad against polytheists has come, and Satan, or polytheism, has vanished.

This is when Muhammad took control of the Kaaba.

But why would he want to take control of a pagan
temple and make it the center of Islamic worship?

Let's back up a bit. When Muhammad and his followers were in
Mecca years earlier, they prayed facing Jerusalem. The pagans
prayed facing the Kaaba. Muslims prayed facing Jerusalem like
the Jews. You can line up the Kaaba and Jerusalem if you wanted
so that you were facing both, but the direction
of prayer was Jerusalem.

When Muhammad was in Mecca he really thought
that the Jews were going
to accept him as a prophet.

The Muslim Community eventually moved to Medina, and the Jews
could tell immediately that Muhammad was a false prophet, because
they knew the Torah, and Muhammad only knew some stories that
he had heard. He was all ears, remember.

But Muhammad could not even get those stories right, so the Jews
rejected him, and Allah said to Muhammad in Sura 2:144

Now shall we turn thee to a Quibla that shall please thee. Turn
then thy face in the directions of the sacred mosque. (2:144)

So Allah's goal goal in telling Muslims to face the Kaaba, was
to please Muhammad. It's amazing how much of Islam is
dedicated to pleasing the man who was receiving the revelations.

Why would facing the Kaaba please Muhammad? Two reasons:

One~ he was sending the Jews a message: this is what you get for
rejecting me. Two~ Muhammad had grown up among pagans who
prayed facing the Kaaba and all its idols. So praying to the Kaaba
was normal for them; it felt right. But how could Muhammad justify
praying towards a pagan shrine?
Well, just a few verses earlier, (2:127)
Allah declared that the Kaaba was built by Abraham and Ishmael.

Now that's interesting. If it was built by Abraham and Ishmael, why
did Muslims spend more than a decade praying towards Jerusalem?
Why does it seem like Mohammed is inventing this as he goes along?

One of life's great mysteries!
(haha I know, right?)

But what evidence do we have that the Kaaba was built by Abraham and
Ishmael? Absolutely none apart from the fact that Muhammad said it.
That's good enough for Muslims, but it shouldn't be. Muhammad had
absolutely no clue what he was talking about, and I can prove it.

3366 narrated Abu Dhar
I said, oh Allah's messenger! Which mosque was first built on the
surface of the Earth? He said, at Makkah. I said, which was built
next? He replied, at Jerusalem. I said, what was the period of
construction between the two? He said, 40 years.

According to Muhammad, there was a 40-year gap between the
construction of the Kaaba and the temple in Jerusalem.

Why is this important? Well, we know when the Jerusalem Temple
was built; Solomon built it in the 10th century BC.

That's more than 1,000 years after Abraham. If Abraham built the
Kaaba, he built it more than a thousand years before Solomon built
the Jerusalem Temple. But Muhammad said they were built 40 years apart.

So we need to ask our Muslim friends, where did Abraham and Ishmael
get their time machine? Because if they didn't have a time machine,
Muhammad was wrong, and we can't trust what he says about the
construction of the Kaaba, and without Muhammad making up
stories about Abraham and Ishmael and the Kaaba, the only
evidence we have tells us that Muslims are bowing down to a
pagan temple and taking a pilgrimage to a pagan temple and
walking circles around a pagan temple.

By the way, why do Muslims walk circles around the Kaaba?
The pagans walked circles around the Kaaba, too.

Why did they do that?
This is about half the video transcribed.
I will carry on with the second half in my next post :)
Thank you for reading and/or listening... Have a great day!

Facts About the Koran - Part Two

Pagan practices proliferate in Islam.

Picking up again where we left off, @ 7:48 :)

By the way, why do Muslims walk circles around the Kaaba? The
pagans walked circles around the Kaaba too. Why did they do that?

The Muslim scholar and Qur'an translator Yusaf Ali, in his
commentary on the Qur'an, has an appendix on ancient forms
of pagan worship. He writes, It will be noticed that the Sun and
the Moon and the five planets got identified each with a living
deity, god or goddess, with characteristic qualities of its own.

The ancients knew about the stars and constellations, but they also
knew about seven heavenly objects that seemed to have their own motions:
the sun, the moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. They
didn't have telescopes yet so they didn't know about the other planets.

According to the pagans, each of these seven heavenly objects was
orbiting the earth, and each was associated with a particular pagan deity.

Why did the pagans of Mecca circle the Kaaba seven times? To honor
and worship the seven planetary deities that they believed were circling
the Earth. This is as pagan as you can possibly get, and now this thoroughly
pagan practice is one of the five pillars of Islam. But let me guess: if it
looks like paganism, and walks like paganism, and talks like paganism,
it must be pure monotheism in disguise, right?

When they visit the Kaaba, Muslims do their best to kiss the black stone.
That's funny! The pagans of Arabia used to worship stones, too.

4376 Narrated Abu Raja al Utaridi: we used to worship stones, and
when we found a better stone than the first one, we would throw
the first stone and take the latter, but if we could not get a stone, then
we would collect some earth (meaning soil), and then bring a sheep,
and milk that sheep over it, and perform the Tawaf around it. When
the month of Rajab came, we used to stop the military actions, calling
this month the iron remover, because we used to remove and throw away
the iron parts of every spear and arrow in the month of Rajab.

What did the pagans worship? A stone. A
nd they would trade that
stone for a better stone to worship. When does that process stop?

When you get to the best stone, the black stone, at the Kaaba.
That's what the pagans did. What do Muslims do when they get
to the Kaaba? They kiss the black stone. It's as if Muslims are saying,
we want to be as idolatrous as possible, but we're still not idolaters.

Interestingly, even Muhammad's companions understood that kissing
the black stone was idolatry, but they kept doing it anyway, because
Muhammad had done it.
1597 Narrated Naris bin Abis we read:

Ramar came near the Black stone and kissed it and said, no doubt
I know you are a stone, and can neither harm anyone nor benefit
anyone. Had I not seen Allah's messenger kissing you,
I would not have kissed you.

This is Umar, the second rightly guided Caliph, saying that he
knows he shouldn't be kissing a pagan idol like the black stone,
but he does it anyway, because Muhammad did it.

But there is more idolatry during the Hajj. When the pagans took
the pilgrimage to Mecca, they would run back and forth between
the hills of Al-Safa and Al-Marwah. They ran back and forth between
them to honor the pagan idols. Yusaf Ali comments on Sura 2:158
of the Qur'an: The virtue of patient perseverance in faith leads to the
mention of two symbolic monuments of that virtue. These are the two
little hills of Safa and Marwah now absorbed in the city of Makkah
(Mecca) and close to the well of Zamzam. Here, according to tradition,
the lady Hagar, mother of the infant Ishmael, prayed for water in the
parched desert, and in her eager quest round these hills, she found
her prayer answered, and saw the Zamzam spring. Unfortunately the
pagan Arabs had placed a male and a female idol here, and their gross
and superstitious rites caused offense to the early Muslims.

Now, how do we know that Hagar and Ishmael were ever at these hills?
Because Muhammad said it, right? And Muhammad's the guy who
thought that Abraham and Solomon lived forty years apart, and that
Alexander the Great was a Muslim: least reliable source of historical
information ever. But what do we actually know here?

We know that pagans used to run back and forth as part of
their idol worship, and the early Muslims knew this as well.

3847 narrated by Ibn Abas: To run along the valley between the two
green pillars of As-Safa and Malwara (mountains), was not Sunna, but
the people in the pre-Islamic period of ignorance used to run along it and
used to say, "We do not cross this rain stream except running in great haste."

Now, this is devastating to Islam, because Ibn Abas says this practice
was just a pagan practice. It wasn't part of the sunna of Muhammad.

Notice the commentary at the bottom: This statement of Ibn Abas
is wrong, as most of the religious scholars consider it As-Sunna
of the prophet. Most of the religious scholars, in order to rescue
Islam, have to throw Ibn Abas under the bus. This is getting ridiculous!

(2574) Narrated 'Asim bin Sulaiman: I asked Anas bin Malik about Safa
and Marwa. Anas replied, "We used to consider (i.e. going around) them
a custom of the Pre-islamic period of Ignorance, so when Islam came, we
gave up going around them. Then allah revealed" "Verily, Safa and Marwa
(i.e. two mountains at Mecca) are among the symbols of allah. So it is not
harmful (sin) of those who perform the Hajj (pilgrimage) of the House
(Kaaba) at Mecca - or perform the Umra to ambulate (Tawaf) between
them." (2.158) (Book
#60, Hadith #23)

Here again the early Muslims understood that this was a pagan practice.
They sad that they stopped doing it when they became Muslims, but
Muhammad
liked it, so it ended up in the Qur'an.

How much paganism can you fit
into one religion?

Quite a bit, it seems. And two things are amazing here:

First, it's amazing that Muslims who are swimming in a sea of pagan
practices are deluded enough to think that they're the true champions
of monotheism. They're doing everything the pagans did.
They just rename it, monotheism.

Second, the pagans of Arabia were local groups. They weren't going to spread
their pagan practices around the world, but Islam has taken the same idolatrous
pagan nonsense practiced by the Meccans and spread it around the world.

This means that Islam is the greatest source of idolatry and paganism
in history. Now to you Muslims who insist on taking the pilgrimage
to Mecca, in spite of its pagan roots, I make a simple request: watch the
video where I talk about the Kaaba, and how you can convert your false
pagan worship into something that actually involves God. I'm not sure
you'll like it, but it will definitely be an improvement over spending your
lives kissing a pagan rock, and running around a pagan cube, and
celebrating the seven false planetary deities, and having no idea that
you've been duped. The chief export of Saudi Arabia is not oil, it's
paganism, and terrorism... off topic but I couldn't resist. :)

David gets a lot of comments from people who practice this "peaceful"
pagan religion, many of them death threats. Thank you Lord for providing
teachers who stand up for Truth despite the bullies and opposition to facts.

Just wanted to share a few words from Muhammad about the Christians and Jews-

Quran 9:30 “And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!”.

Quran 5:51- "O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people."

Quran 9:29 "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued."
(people of the book= Christians and Jews)

"Fighting the Jews and Christians is legislated because They are Idolators and Disbelievers: Allah the Exalted encourages the believers to fight the polytheists, disbelieving Jews and Christians, who uttered this terrible statement and utter lies against Allah, the Exalted. As for the Jews, they claimed that Uzayr was the son of God, Allah is free of what they attribute to Him. As for the misguidance of Christians over Jesus, it is obvious. This is why Allah declared both groups to be liars"(Tafsir Ibn Kathir vol. 10 p405-8)

As it was already stated previously, Muhammad acted friendly towards the Jews and Christians when he started his ministry, but eventually turned on them when they wouldnt accept his teachings.
Islam is not a friend to either Christian or Jews, and in fact it even claims that on the last day, the Muslims will be gathered against the Jews killing them.

If I'm understanding this rightly this is some sort of way of trying to figure out who/what the restrainer is:

"For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way."

The Dome of the Rock did not appear until the 7th century - while Paul claims the "restrainer" was already in "existence" when he wrote

Muhammad vs. Jesus: Judging Religions by Their Central Figures

Every time I post a video about Jihad, several Muslims, and some non Muslims, send me messages saying, David, why are you judging an entire religion by the actions of a few people? These messages are confusing, because nowhere have I ever said, look, some Muslims carried out a terrorist attack, therefore Islam promotes terrorism.

Instead I go through Islam's most trusted sources, showing them Muhammad's teachings promote jihad. So I am not judging Islam by the actions of a few Muslims, I am explaining what it teaches.

I can only assume that the people who tell me not to judge an entire religion by the actions of a few aren't saying this because they have thought carefully about any points I have made. They are saying it because this is just what they have been trained to say whenever someone criticizes Islam. There is no actual thought involved
(beyond wanting to kill the messenger!). It is now an automated response.

But since I am getting bored pointing this out every time I talk about jihad, I decided to make a short video clearly stating my position on judging religions.

My official position on judging Islam is this: we don't judge Islam based on the actions of Muslims who slaughter unbelievers in the name of Allah, or rape their female captives, or beat their wives into submission, or murder cartoonists. We don't judge Islam by Isis or
Al-Qaeda
or the Taliban or Boko Haram or Al-Shabaab or any of the other terrorists groups who want to violently subjugate the entire world to Islam.

Instead we judge Islam based on the teachings and example of Muhammad, a man who
A was convinced at one point that he was demon possessed
B tried repeatedly to commit suicide
C admittedly delivered revelations from the devil
D complained that he was a victim of a magic spell that
gave him delusional thoughts and false beliefs

E supported his religion by robbing people
F started a war with Mecca when he had a chance to live in peace in Medina
G had people assassinated for criticizing his religion
H beheaded hundreds of Jews for trying to defend
themselves once they realized he was eliminating them

I ordered his followers to execute anyone who leaves his religion
J commanded his followers to violently subjugate the entire world
K tortured people for money
L bought, sold, owned, and traded black African slaves
M called Ethiopians raisin heads and claimed that Satan looks like a black man
N had sex with a nine year old girl
O had at least nine wives at one time even though his own revelations only allowed four
P married the wife of his own adopted son after causing the divorce by lusting after her
Q had sex with his slave girls
R broke the promise he made to his wives that he would stop having sex
with his slave girls after he got caught with a slave girl in the bed of his wife

S allowed his followers to rape their female captives
T took the most beautiful captives back to his own tent
U told his followers they could beat their wives into submission
V declared that women are stupid and that their testimony is unreliable
W promoted idolatrous pagan practices like kissing the black stone and bowing down to the Kaaba
X repeated stories based on forgeries and passed them off as revelations from God
Y portrayed God as deceptive and Jesus as a complete failure
Z has kept more people from knowing the true God than any other false prophet in history

So, if we judge Islam by Muhammad, what can we conclude?

Worst religion ever!

But we need to be consistent here, which means that we shouldn't judge Christianity based on the actions of Christians who invented hospitals to care for the sick, invented orphanages to care for unwanted children, pioneered the western education system by starting universities like Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Yale, and Princeton, led the scientific revolution, ended slavery in the west, and so on. We don't judge Christianity by all the Christians who changed the world. We judge Christianity by the teachings and example of Jesus, Who:

A created the universe
B sustains the universe and existence
C laid aside His glory so that He could enter creation as a human being to suffer for our sake
D as to His human nature, was born of a virgin
E fulfilled dozens of Old Testament prophesies
F miraculously fed thousands of people on more than one occasion
G walked on water
H could calm storms by speaking
I healed the sick
J cleansed the lepers
K cast out demons
L raised the dead
M made the lame walk
N gave sight to the blind
O gave hearing to the deaf
P gave hope to the oppressed
Q confronted and rebuked their oppressors
R broke down the barriers that kept people divided by race, class, and gender
S ordered His followers to love everyone including their enemies
T commanded His followers not to use violence in His name
U endured torture and death for our sins
V told the Father to forgive those who crucified Him
W rose from the dead
X gives us His righteousness so that we can know God
Y intercedes with the Father on our behalf
Z will eventually judge the entire world

So if we judge Christianity by Jesus, what can we conclude?

Best message ever!

To all the Muslims
who sent me messages pointing out that we should not judge Islam by the actions of Muslims? Thank you for the comments, I agree with you completely. We don't judge religions by their adherents. We judge religions by their central figures and teachings.

The time of the gentiles expired 1967, however Jerusalem has since then remained under Islamic control.

This time period, 50 years, 1967-2017, seems now to be coming to a close as the Jews are about to break free and rebuild the Temple.

(The Ishmaelites do not seem to be classed as gentiles interestingly)

I suspect that if Islam was the restrainer, it will now have served its purpose, and will really evaporate as a global religion. I believe we live in exciting times actually.

Mohammed was an adulterous, brutally cruel war monger and pedophile. He is the hero of Islam, held up as an ideal person. Muslims make no secret of the fact that the aim of Islam is world wide domination through forced submission. How anyone can call it a religion of peace is beyond me, especially in light of recent world events. Comparing the atrocities of Islam to those of acts Christians may have committed hundreds of years ago is ridiculous, since those Christians were acting against the dictates of Scripture, while Muslims who behave in brutal, cruel, war-like ways are following exactly what their so-called holy book tells them to do.

Does muhammed not teach his muslim people, "Do not greet the Jews and Christians before they greet you, and if you meet them on a road, force them to the side." That sounds really loving right? The quran is of satan so i dont care what they label me as tbh. It even says in the quran "Allah is the greatest of deceivers" which is true unfortunately he is deceiving many muslims.

some facts about Mohammad and Islam, one Mohammad tried to be accepted by the Pope as a prophet, he also tried to bring all 300 gods of Arabia under one name Allah, not the name of our God but under the name of his mothers god name to be call the god over all as the one and only god. When the Pope turn him down he was outraged and started doing war with the Christians just like they are doing even today. Islam grew only by force upon others as it does even today. The Koran its self gives evidence of his hate after he was rejected by the Pope. Note- Both branches of the old Babylonian priesthood when it split can be found at play here. the Roman branch and the Egyptian are the Arabia branch of the under world religions.
