It may be anecdotal but I've heard ((for example of what you are saying)) that in ancient Rome unwanted babies were dumped in trash heaps, a primitive form of abortion.
And that Christians didn't try to get involved in politics to try to outlaw the practice. they just went to the dumps and adopted the children.
eventually societal norms changed as more people in the population were converted - not by law but by nature.
but we know by prophecy the world will only grow more and more wicked - does that mean we are supposed to become modern pharisees and seek worldly powers to enforce an outward morality on an inwardly immoral people??
