You Will Know Them by Their Fruits
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.16 You will know them by their fruits.Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

Just as a further note. if we think about the blessing it is to be able to say 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name' in fact just those two words 'Our Father' what a privilege.

Because we are sons/daughters we can say 'Our Father'. That in itself is a wonderful truth that we could dwell on for a lifetime.
today we can pray intimately and individually .

1¶And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his diciples said unto him, Lord, teach US to pray, as JOHN also taught HIS disciples.

2¶And he said unto THEM .

OBSERVATION . who is Jesus speaking to ?
Any gentiles ?

when is this ?
Is it before the cross ? Does that matter ?
'Our Father' ? Is this corporate or individual? .
Is this a Jewish prayer? Typically they would approach God corporately?

Is this under the law still ? does this matter ?

4

4And forgive us our sins

Is this before or after the fact that Jesus has now died for the sins of the world . Prior to the cross i can see why they would pray this way .

Why are gentiles today claiming this prayer ,when Jesus gave this to his Jewish disciples. No Gentile dog was in mind when Jesus gave this prayer .

There are no instructions to pray this way after the cross especially to gentiles . What we see is that today we come in prayer boldly , intimately and individually.

Taking a verse out of context robs the entire reason and meaning Jesus said what he said .

This Liberal, General approach to scripture ,claiming every verse as if it all is speaking to us ,is the very reason we have so much error in Christianity today.

These thoughts are examples of questioning all scripture as whether it is giving us eternal truths or is it diluted by context, by who it is speaking to, questioning if we can believe God tells eternal truths to all people or does God want all but who He is speaking to to never listen to Him. It is questioning if God gives eternal truth or is it limited by time, and on and on.

Scripture tells us God is eternal, that God does not change, that scripture is truth. Why should we try so to limit the Lord!

I'm not sure your understanding the point? Its not the case that things stay the same in scripture. We don't sacrifice animals do we today ? Wasn't that a ' truth ' ..Its true in the sense they used to do them ..

Luke 11

Is this prayer for today ?

1¶And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

2¶And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

3Give us day by day our daily bread.

4And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
This was the guidelines given to the Apostles on how to pray to GOD. It did not mean that the people should recite these words, word for word. But rather that there is the order of prayer, like a letter to the GOD you are praying too.

Our father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name: This is the section of the prayer, where you are calling GOD by HIS names, acknowledging HE is the GOD almighty, acknowledging HE is the Provider, HE is the saviour, HE is All Knowing, All Loving, the Omniscient GOD, the GOD of Abraham of Isaac and of Jacob, the GOD who created all things, and so on. This is the section where you address the GOD in Spirit and in truth.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is heaven: This is the section of the prayer where you acknowledge HIS kingdom, how HIS kingdom is, and your desire for the kingdom to come home, for this earth to pack up, and for the Celestial to come home. This is where you acknowledge HIS soverignty, HIS abilities, How HE operates, showing that you know the GOD you are praying too.

Give us this day, our daily bread and forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who tresspass against us: This is the section of the prayer that you acknowledge HIS Word, how HIS word is living and active, Spiritual and life giving, that HIS Word is true, and beyond reproach, how Precious HIS Word is to you, The Properties of HIS Word, the Power of HIS Word.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: This is the section where you thank the GOD for HIS chastisements, for HIS corrections, for HIS counsels and you also bring out your prayer point here.

For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever and ever: This is where you round up the prayer. And then I would say,

In the matchless name of our Supreme LORD Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.

This is how I pray to the GOD.

As we read scripture, we ask the Holy Spirit to help us. That spirit explains God to us, and we try to see the eternal principles of our Holy God, not the physical changes God uses to explain to us.

You can ignore the Holy Spirit explaining God's principles and only see that the blood God gave on the altar, the shadow of Christ as the sacrificial system was, is a change. You can do better than that and search for the eternal principles explained through that system. It was a dim shadow, but accurate, picture of Christ.

4And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.
Under Israel's gospel of the kingdom, this is the meaning of the Lord's prayer

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. The reference here to “our Father” is to the God and Father of Israel — the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. In prophecy, heaven was His throne and earth His footstool. His name was so holy that the Jews feared they might inadvertently speak it in vain, consequently they changed it from Yahweh to Adonai — Master, Ruler (Deut. 5:11; Isa. 66:1; Matt. 15:31; Luke 1:68).

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. The hope of every Israelite was the establishment of the Davidic Kingdom. God’s will for the earth is to overthrow the kingdoms of this world and establish the millennial kingdom of His dear Son (II Sam. 7:8-17; Luke 1:68-72; Rev. 11:15; 20:6).

Give us this day our daily bread. In the future Tribulation, God will set a table in the wilderness for His people, as He did in time past. The saints in that day will find it necessary to pray for their daily provision of food, since they will be unable to buy or sell without the Mark of the Beast. Subsequently, God will supernaturally nourish the chosen nation (Rev. 12:14 cf. Rev. 13:13-18).

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.Today we are to forgive others, even as God for Christs sake has forgiven us, but under the kingdom gospel, forgiveness was based upon a like-spirit (Matt. 18:21-35 cf. Eph. 4:32).

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil [Gr. noun: evil one]. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. The sense here is, “Lord lead us not into the Great Tribulation, but deliver us from Satan, who brings death and destruction in his wake” (Rev. 6:7-11; 12:12; 13:1-10).

What leads you to believe that this instruction is to be applied outside of the context it was given ? ie to gentiles?

Lk.11:2-4 is the best model for prayer, showing honor for God, thanks to him and our need of him. Every believer should pray this way.

Certainly we should dear brother, because our Lord Jesus sent those disciples to us,

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you Mt.28:19-20

We pray that way now even if we don't use those exact words.

I'd say we have to becareful of the things Jesus said to Israel prior to the cross . This prayer is of course not a command. But what was commanded to the diciples was not to go to the gentiles.
Luke

These twelve Jesus sent forth and commanded them, saying, “Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not.

They are still doing this in Acts 11 .

19¶Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

Cornelius being the first. in Acts 10 .

We don't see anything written to gentiles to pray this way .

We pray that way already. There's no element in that prayer that doesn't apply to every believer.
