oh yes, we are first-hand-witnesses observing a myriad of calamities -
all over the lands - we shall indeed see just who shall stand and who shall fall,
and who will crawl on the crushed plastic trinkets...

oh yes, the sum of the hour is small before the parchments scrawl will fall
from the sheet...

we shall soon see who is truly bought with Jesus Christ's Holy Blood...

I think you are absolutely correct and accurate in all of that.

Then if as Stonesoffire stated:

Then we just simply need to throw the book out, and live our lives as if there is no tomorrow. For without GOD, there is nothingness.

This is what and how an atheist thinks.

It seems to be getting more and more popular to add the requirement of believing in a "Rapture" to Salvation. And those pushing it can't even decide which of the various "Raptures" is the correct one.

I do believe it had nothing to do with the RAPTURE...In fact, the WORD 'rapture' was NEVER mentioned....Is this not the way preterist present the Bible and GOD's WORD??

Weren't all seven of those churches to which St. John wrote The Apocalypse (Revelation) in Turkey? Was that not Gentile territory?
Regardless what they once were, Turkey is now Islamic.

Antioch (modern Antakya), the city where "the disciples were first called Christians" according to the biblical Book of Acts, is located in modern Turkey, as are most of the areas visited by St. Paul during his missions. The Epistle to the Galatians, Epistle to the Ephesians, Epistle to the Colossians, First Epistle of Peter, and Book of Revelation are addressed to recipients in the territory of modern Turkey. Additionally, all of the first Seven Ecumenical Councils that define Christianity for Eastern Orthodox and Catholic Christians took place in the territory that is now Turkey. (from Wiki)

To address your following post 1st.

I JUST SAID in my previous post that I allow for the possibility that I'm wrong!

Obviously, if I thought i WAS wrong I wouldn't believe what I believe, but aside from THE Gospel, I am willing to admit I could have a wrong interpretation of Rev, and especially the Rapture. I lean very heavily pre-trib, and believe there is good evidence to support that, but I'm not going to denigrate those that think there is NO Rapture.

Even, what I believe to be the astoundingly ludicrous preterism view, is not something I am willing to bet my salvation on. NOT saying you need to believe the right view about premillennial vs. amillennial to be saved. Just saying it's a pride issue, if we are not capable of saying we could be wrong.

There are MANY here, whom I love, admire and respect greatly, yourself included, who do not believe as I do in this regard, and for the very most part we steer clear of each other on this issue.

But your daily drumbeat on this issue against premillennials is getting difficult to ignore. I know this has traditionally been Atwaukee's baby for yrs now, ebbing and flowing, but the response has gotten significantly harsher lately.

Now I posted debatable stuff (obviously debate is fine) earlier in the thread, and I'm pretty sure you ignored it. So why should someone read stuff supporting your position?

I'm a little surprised to see you try and pull the age card! LOL Dude, I'm not that young, but thanks for seeing me that way.
Amen....Paul was educated and top of his game as well and had to be re-educated.....and one can spend their whole life in study and still be wrong......I have only referenced once or twice that I have studied something for 20 plus years and then qualified it by saying that it means nothing at the end of the day as far as being right or credible...........

If my doctrine's foundation "a" is wrong and ALL other beliefs are based upon "a" which is wrong then b thru z will also be wrong or off the mark.......

Not mouthing...just stating a very valid point.........

And when you find out "A" is wrong, you had best start over.
But so many just conveniently find a way to make "A" right again.

Why would you say that Bladerunner? Its a great comfort to know that the One who has all power in heaven and earth, reigns within our heart. And the authority of His name is always with us in battles. Battles of the mind, and from the tempter.

Walk trough the valley
This is not the answer but what I think we should look for. In a dark world, where hated is deeping between people, and John 17 :15 Jesus says, keep them from the evil one, the Lord's prayer says "lead me not into temptation, and deliver me from evil. I know that we should be looking for the light, to continue to walk the straight and narrow. The light of the world is Jesus, he said, " I am the light of the world, he that knowth not the light, walketh in darkness, and dosn't know where he is going, "this means to me spiritiually, we need to be lead by the holy spirit, and keep our lamps full of the oil of that holy spirit," thy word is a light unto my path, and a lamp unto my feet. There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end of that way leads to death. I believe we need to look for his light, let it shine in our hearts, lead us, draw close to him in prayer. "For many shall fall away."
Impressed by your answer, had in mind to mention, "To those looking for Him shall He appear the second time."
You said this better than I would have.

I can agree with this view willie , sometimes i can only shake my head and wonder. Why individuals will not stick with what Jesus taught ? Instead of buying books , videos , watching movies of teachers that just want there hard earn money ???

It's very clear how God plan will occur

Matthew 13

The Parable of the Weeds Explained

(Zephaniah 1:1-6)

36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. 37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

The Parable of the Net

(Matthew 4:18-22; Mark 1:16-20; Luke 5:1-11; John 1:35-42)
47Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: 48Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. 49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, 50And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

51Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord. 52Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

Verse 51 Christ Himself stated , have you understood all these things , there answer was yes Lord. So two thousand years ago they understood clearly but suddenly less than two hunders years we have so many diffrent twist to the end of the world ??? My proposal to those that belive in rapture or pre trib post trib , have you finally understood the truth as Christ taught His Disciples ???

Shalom

If that is the case, then why did you take out what you said from the statement above.:

I don't understand what you think I took out? The kingdom of God is within. This is scripture. So this has come. And it's the place within where we will minister out of to mankind. The Presence of the Lord.

It seems to me that you do not recognise this truth.

But, back to the point that I was trying to make. Revelations is the unveiling of Jesus. That is said in the beginning. But, it's a vision, and visions and dreams require interpretation. Is this correct?

Interpretation is then out of what the person would understand by his own life's experiences. Example..if I receive a vision or dream concerning my purse, I would know instinctively that's my identity. It should fit in though with the whole of the message.

So John would know what the vision means according to his knowledge of the OT and the poetic language of Hebrew.

Its up to us then to study symbols in the correct context because the symbols can mean different things. It takes much time to do this but this is how I see pictures of Jesus in the OT. I've been studying this way for years but not of Revelations.

That was really all I meant. Am not sure why this would make you think there's no hope.

Good morning Stones.

I believe Scripture has multiple depths of application. For example, in Ezekiel and Isaiah, the prophets are talking about the kings of Tyre and Babylon respectively, but they are also addressing the power behind those thrones, namely satan.

If we have accepted Jesus, and have the Holy Spirit in us, certainly in one sense the Kingdom of God is within us. This in NO way excludes an actual, physical Kingdom on Earth.

That is EXACTLY what we pray for when reciting the Lord's prayer. "Our Father who is in Heaven Hallowed be Your Name, YOUR KINGDOM COME, Your Will be done, on EARTH as it is in Heaven....."

Is His Will being done at all times on Earth, EVEN BY CHRISTIANS now? I don't see how that is occurring. Yes, some Christians are partially doing His Will now by spreading the Gospel, and other various works, but unless we want to go down the sinless perfectionism trail, HIS Will is NOT being perfectly done.

Have you seen the wretched state of this world? Why are we praying for His Will to be done on EARTH if it's already achieved?

Jesus told John to record what he SAW, NOT WHAT HE DREAMED! They are 2 distinct concepts. Just as those in the O.T. had trouble expressing the visions they saw, (Isaiah fumbled to try and describe how he SAW God in Heaven for instance) John struggled to describe some of things he SAW.

BUT he did NOT dream these visions up!

So unless imagery is expressly termed as an analogy, WE should NOT allegorize.
