He shall take from Me and give to you...He will not speak of Himself, but what He hears, and He shall glorify Me. Every believer who received the Holy Spirit, glorified/magnified The Gospel Message. These disciples of Apollos were glorifying John. It is why they had not been baptized into Jesus and had not, therefore, received the Holy Spirit

And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus. 25This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John. 26And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly. 27And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace: 28For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.

And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. 3And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. 4Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. 5When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. 7And all the men were about twelve.

A lot of believers get hung up on the water baptism, but the water baptism was one of the "works of righteousness" that got recorded in the Body of Yeshua/Jesus while He was on the Earth. By receiving Yeshua/Jesus, those Gentiles received the water baptism of Yeshua/Jesus in the Jordan River.
The Holy Spirit didn't have to wait for the Gentile believers to get water baptized.

I agree that this was a "work of righteousness" and that Jesus, in order to fill all righteousness also allowed Himself to be baptized and left a model for us to follow. Anyone who hears the message and believes, (my opinions) I do not think will reject water baptism. As we see with the eunich, who actually requested water baptism from Phillip.
I did not call it the "baptism of John." It's the answer Apollos and the disciples gave.

Yes, I believe we are to be water baptized. I prefer fully immersed, but don't really see a need to argue over it.
Acts 2:38 New International Version (NIV)

I am saying:
When we first get saved, we are SEALED with the Holy Spirit.
AFTER being sealed with the Holy Spirit, we are BAPTIZED with the Holy Spirit which is the FIRST time we are FILLED with the Holy Spirit.
AFTER being baptized with the Holy Spirit which is the first time we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we are to be CONTINUALLY FILLED with the Holy Spirit by reading, mediating, studying the scriptures, singing songs in our hearts to God, worshiping God in Spirit and in Truth, fellowshiping with other believers.....etc.....
Being FILLED with the Holy Spirit then becomes a daily choice, if we quench or grieve the Holy Spirit with our flesh then we end up backsliding.
We need to learn how to not neglect the Gift of the Holy Spirit, keep it stirred up so we can walk by the Spirit and not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.
