People know what they believe. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. The Word doesn't say, "Without knowledge, it is impossible to please God". Knowledge puffs up. We know only by obeying God, not by concepts alone. The more we obey the more we truly grow. I think however you are just saying stuff that makes a case for your need not to say just what comes to mind. The Siamese quote is just completely off the wall, and out of place in a serious conversation. But God forgive you. Anyway, I need to lighten up. I have said things very much worse than what you wrote. So I need forgiveness a lot. Anyway, may God forgive and save us all. We all need God's mercy in Christ. God save us. Amen.
Some of those expressions are just my dry sarcastic sense of humor to interject lightness.

As for knowledge, it is gnosis (G1108) that puffs up, not epignosis (G1922). Gnosis is present and fragmentary experiential knowledge. Epignosis is clear and exact experiential knowledge. The difference is degree of thorough participation by the subject-person in/with that which is known. Experiencing Him by participation IN Him.

Too little experience-knowledge puffs up, not too much of it.

If you go on a 6-month water fast with only Word and prayer, I assure you it will give you a thorough participation in Him.

You simply MUST read 1Cor. 2.

How/where did you learn the biblical Greek? Or do you just use a reference? It's hard to follow these kind of arguments knowing only English.

Let's be careful taking the subject about the Holy Spirit...

Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is the only sin that cannot be forgiven...

Exactly my point. English-only has led to many widespread wrong understandings. Everyone doesn't have to study under Dr. Wallace or Dr. Black or Dr. Zhodiates, but believers should at least understand how to access and use at least basic tools.

There are several types of knowledge, with some by degree or progression by learning and/or experience.

Know -est -eth -ing -ledge -n; knew -est; wist.
G50, G56, G319, G1097, G1107, G1108, G1110, G1231, G1232, G1492, G1921, G1922, G1987, G1990, G2467, G2589, G3877, G4135, G4267, G4892, G4907, G5318.

And wisdom (sophia G4678) isn't knowledge, and vice versa. Prudence (phronesis G5428) is a specific kind of wisdom, but isn't sophia.

One should learn what the Word is saying and yield to that truth, rather than using the Word to back up one on already believes based on pre-conceived perceptions. We should get understanding FROM the Word rather than taking our understabdings TO the Word.

I could give a thousand examples. Novices everywhere. At 48, I'm just now emerging from novice status, after years of Word, prayer, fasting, and serving. Believers of all ages think they know everything, but most don't even know what they don't know. It's important to be able to recognize what one does NOT know and admit that.

A well-intended caution, but not really the applicable area for concern.
