Who do you suggest "the house of Israel' and "house of Judah" are referring to in this verse Heb 8:8?

It’s about Jews. Jews were the chosen nation. Jesus came to the Jews. Jesus was a Jew himself and salvation comes through the Jews

John 4:22 You Samaritans know very little about the one you worship, while we Jews know all about him, for salvation comes through the Jews.

Romans1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek

Gentiles are the dogs who eat the crumbs

Matthew 15:27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.

Gentiles is a wild branch grafted in

Romans 11: 17 If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root

So Gentiles never become Jews just like wild Olive shoot never becomes original/genuine root. That wild shoot doesn't wither and stays alive by seeping all the nourishment with nutrients from the root

it refers to the same people as in romans 11. As it says in Heb 8 Neighbor will not have to teach neighbor, because everyone of them will know the Lord. For he will forgive all their sin, and their evil ways he will remember no more. And as it says in romans 11. When the times of the gentile are fulfilled. ALL isreal will be saved.

It speaks of the restoration of Isreal. which was his audience. Not to the church, or "spiritual jews" because the church is here. And neighbor DOES have to teach NEIGHBOR, so it can not mean us.

Heb 8:11 Is just saying there would be no need of continual admonition and counsel, for men would have a personal religious experience with Jesus. Rom 8:14. Heb 8 is talking about the New Covenant that you and I live in. Rom 11 is talking about the "Gentiles"= "us" we have been grafted in.

You and I are apart of the New Covenant That's what heb 8 is saying.

So you think the New Covenant is only for the Jew when you read heb 8:8 maybe you should read that chapter again sir With all due respect.( If your saying Spiritual Jew ok i agree.)

No, It can't be. because I have one neighbor who is muslim, one who is catholic, and one who is an athiest. I have to talk to all of them about God because they do not know him.

Heb 11 tells us when the fullness of the gentiles is complete. All Isreal will be saved. The same people to who Hebrews was written to. it is at this time, they will live in peace, and not have to teach their neighbors because they ALL will know God and follow him.

For the Jew first. For Gentiles second

Romans1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek

Distinction is there. Do you see it?

Acts tells us the story how it went to the Jew first. Act 6:7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

I am not talking about someone according to their flesh but who they are in faith. The New covenant is for all who will take Jesus by faith (spiritual Jew). Not talking about there nationality.

The bible teaches that we will be apart of the New Jerusalem that comes down out of heaven. Therefore that means I am a Spiritual Jew. Do you understand now?

Anyways lets not get to far from the subject and that's the Sabbath is still here and still matters as a 10 commandment of God wrote by the finger of God and not mosses. Moses only gave it to the Jews he him self did not write them.

No such thing as “spiritual Jew”.
Even the word “spiritual” reminds me of Spiritualism where members practice regularly communication with spirits of the dead

First of all Moses wrote them himself

Ex 34:27And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.

Sabbath is still here and still matters as a 10 commandment of God
Shadow and a Schoolmaster is still here and still matter.

But shadow is always a shadow and aschoolmaster is always a schoolmaster. It's not the real thing

Gal 3:24Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

The Old Covenant was the 10 Commandments of Yahvah God and the Law of Moses.

The New Covenant is the 10 Commandments of Yahvah God and Faith in Yahshua the Messiah.

Faith in Yahshua the Messiah being the one and only sin offering for us to Yahvah God.

we are found guilty by the Commandments of Yahvah God, pardoned through Faith in Yahshua the Messiah.

All this is a gift an act of Love toward us from the Most High.

Blessed with the Holy Spirit to guide and comfort us to serve Yahvah God in Spirit and Truth.

Now Yahvah God gave us 10 Commandments our fundamental.

Love is our source without this we can not obey the Commandments of Yahvah God.

We must Love our Yahvah God with all our heart, soul and mind.

Love thy neighbour as thyself.

If you keep these two you will Keep the 10 Commandments of Yahvah God.

if you took a guilty man off of death row and offered your son in his place to be sentenced to death so he could go free, and this man was not moved and changed.. would you consider him grateful for what you did for him?

If the 10 Commandments find you guilty of sin.

Do you love thy God with all thy heart, soul and mind if you continue in disobedience to that which he declares those who Love him obey?

The New Covenant is faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit inside of us leading us into Righteousness.

Working at the Law is trying to establish your own personal righteousness with God. It is actually against faith. Working at the Law is not abiding in Christ.

The good thing is that abiding in Christ causes fruit to be produced in your life. His Love is shed to us so that we may be healed from all our iniquity and we can share this with others. Against this there are no Laws.

Exo_31:18 And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God. <Moses did not write the 10 commandments.

The schoolmaster was Gal 3:19 Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. (The mediator here is Moses Ex 20:19).

Exo_31:18 And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God. <Moses did not write the 10 commandments.
Those two tables got smashed into pieces

Exo 32:19And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses' anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount.

and that was a sign or omen or premonition that there’ll be a day when the Law will be smashed upon the mighty stone

Luke 20:17-18And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner? Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

the mighty rock

Matthew 7:24-25Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock."

The rock that is so much greater than tables of stone given to Moses.

How to get hold of that “rock”?

There must be a moment in your life when you pray to Jesus with all your heart asking him to be your God and forgiveness for your sins. The Holy Spirit will then come into your heart and His love will fill your heart.

Romans 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us

And this will mean that His laws will be written in your heart and mind.

That’s how New Testament or New Covenant is done, here is this verse.

Jeremiah 31:33 But this is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel on that day,” says the Lord, “I will put my laws in their minds, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

The schoolmaster was Gal 3:19 Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. (The mediator here is Moses Ex 20:19).
That’s a great verse.

Gal 3:19 Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator

Notice the law is given “till the seed should come”.

Who is that seed?

It’s about prophecy given in Genesis

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

The “seed of the woman” is Jesus born of Virgin Mary. His heel got bruised (he got crucified) but on a third day he got alive to bruise Satan’s head once and for all.

Gal 3:19 Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator

So the Law is given only till Jesus coming

Yes the Law is Good! Good at showing how awesome Jesus Grace is!
Paul tells us in Romans 3:20 " Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight:
for by the law is the knowledge of sin."

The beginning of the answer: acknowledgment of reality: the purpose of the Law:
1) To show us what sin is;
2) To drive us to sin more (!?): Rom 5:20-21
3) To drive us to our knees! Gal 3:24. Faith (in Christ) alone.

Jesus sermon on the mount points out that no one can keep the Law (for if you think it, you are guilty!) He is pointing out the need for His Grace
G - God's
R - Riches
A - At
C - Christ's
E - Expense

That’s a great verse.

I knew I should of covered this part.

Yes the stones were broken but God him self wrote them again on new stones that Moses made. Fact is God still wrote them with his own finger.

Exo 34:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.

God here tells Moses the he will write upon them again.

If only you read further down a bit
Exo 34:28 And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
Moses took over. He wroth it himself

OK, I can see where you might think that, but my bible has a capital "H" for the word "he" Exo34:28"And He wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant (NKJV)

He wrote - i. e. Yahweh wrote Exo_34:1. Yahweh = God

I also compared it with Deuteronomy showing what Moses did in the mean time as God wrote on the two stones.I underlined it for easy read.

Deu 10:1 At that time the LORD said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.
Deu 10:2 And I will write on the tables the words that were in the first tables which thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the ark.
Deu 10:3 And I made an ark of shittim wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in mine hand.
Deu 10:4 And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which the LORD spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and the LORD gave them unto me.
