Let the cross (1 Corinthians 1:18) be a constant reminder and symbol that:

(1) The debt of your sins, have already been paid.

(2) You owe no debt; they are all washed away by the Blood of the Lamb.

(3) God’s Love for you is ETERNAL and REAL.

(4) You belong to JESUS, the Shepherd of your Soul.

If your mind is attacked by thoughts of your past sins, don’t panic or be afraid; just think of the cross that you are wearing. Then say, "ALL THOSE SINS ARE WASHED AWAY BY THE BLOOD".
Colossians 1:14 (KJV)

If in the future, you say something or do something, and you feel guilty, don’t panic or be afraid; just think of the cross that you are wearing. (Luke 9:23)

Then say, "THAT TOO IS WASHED AWAY BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB".
Colossians 1:14 (KJV)

All sin, past or future is washed away by the Blood of the Lamb; Meaning paid for forever and you owe nothing. (Hebrews 9:12)

1 Corinthians 1:17-18 (KJV)
For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

Colossians 2:13-15 (KJV)
And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

1 John 1:7 (KJV)

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Revelation 7:14 (KJV)
And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Galatians 6:14 (KJV)
But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

Philippians 2:8 (KJV)
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

1 Peter 2:24 (KJV)

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Carrying of the cross symbolizes that we have been crucified with Christ (Galatians 2:20)

Not the wearing of jewelery.

In the OT people used an innocent lamb and sacrificed it for the offering of their sins which was temporary..

In the same manner Jesus was sacrificed and shed blood on the cross for the atonement of our souls once and for all and Jesus was the only one acceptable before God because of His innocence, he had no sin.

Leviticus 17:11 (KJV)
For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

In short: God requires a blood sacrifice to atone for sin.

I forget at the moment where it IS in the Bible, But I Know that in the Bible, there IS a verse where OUR FATHER states quite clearly that HE NEVER wanted our blood sacrafices, He WANTS our guenuine For HIM, and EVERYONE ELSE, (that lets you)

Christ gave His Life to Attone for the sinners that WE ALL are; So that IF you follow His instructions, CHRIST"S; that you can have that privalige of an High Preist, and enter inside of the Veil, into The Holy of Holies; and talk to The Creator of Life & Source of LOVE yourself.

So THAT you DO NOT have to beleive ANY MAN.

Forever in Christ :)

Genesis 2:17
King James Version (KJV)
17But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Genesis 9:4-6
King James Version (KJV)
4But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.

5And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.

6Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.

Leviticus 17:10-14
King James Version (KJV)
10And whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, that eateth any manner of blood; I will even set my face against that soul that eateth blood, and will cut him off from among his people.

11For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

12Therefore I said unto the children of Israel, No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger that sojourneth among you eat blood.

13And whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, which hunteth and catcheth any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust.

14For it is the life of all flesh; the blood of it is for the life thereof: therefore I said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall eat the blood of no manner of flesh: for the life of all flesh is the blood thereof: whosoever eateth it shall be cut off.

Deuteronomy 12:21-24
King James Version (KJV)
21If the place which the LORD thy God hath chosen to put his name there be too far from thee, then thou shalt kill of thy herd and of thy flock, which the LORD hath given thee, as I have commanded thee, and thou shalt eat in thy gates whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.

22Even as the roebuck and the hart is eaten, so thou shalt eat them: the unclean and the clean shall eat of them alike.

23Only be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the blood is the life; and thou mayest not eat the life with the flesh.

24Thou shalt not eat it; thou shalt pour it upon the earth as water

John 6:53-58
King James Version (KJV)
53Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

54Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

55For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

56He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.

57As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.

58This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

Mark 14:22-25
King James Version (KJV)
22And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.

23And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it.

24And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.

25Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.

Hope this helps...He gave His life for us...the life is in the blood....so He shed His perfect sinless blood..His life ...for our death sentence.

Cronje, you make it sound like God's grace stops at the cross. Why so much emphesis on sin? Is there not a life AFTER the cross? PAul says the teachong of the cross is the FIRST lesson, does it mean it is the only lesson? What about the life AFTER the cross, the LIFE God wants us to live? Where does the grace of God stop? At the cross? Or is that only the beginning of salvation?

So many people rely on the blood of Jesus! And we all know that is the only cleanser, but what about the SPIRIT of Jesus. Imagine being filled with this Spirit. Just think a few moments on this... God's Holy Spirit filling you!....THINK! THINK! This is HUGE! Imagine God puts His Spirit in you, and He fills you!How far is sin and evil away from you then? How effective is sin and evil on you then? God says we should get to a stage where we do not even TALK about sin! Eph 5:3, as becometh saints!

What is a SAINT? Well according the greek word it is a person... MOST HOLY, Spiritually pure, and morily BLAMELESS! I think it means in God's eyes moralyy blameless, and most Holy! God should know He made the saints!

I just want to encourage people to Read the Word of God. Read 1 Cor 15, and see how God sanctifies, and how God makes new creatures of the ones He sanctifies. God even fills them with His Spirit. Now that is someting to recieve AFTER the cleansing! Jesus did not stop His works of grace on the cross, NOPE He came and gave HIS SPIRIT to every person he saved. To seal them off in holiness FOR HIS GLORY!

The cross is the end of sin, to all God saves! Once you are washed God seals you off to NEVER sin again... 1 John 3:9. God says you CANNOT sin becasue HIS SEED remaineth in you! Thank God that He Plants His seed in all cleansed hearts! May the Lord give us this what Jesus said He will....Father let thou will be done in me AS IN HEAVEN! Amen!

There is no sin in heaven!

Cronjecj,

Why The Blood?

How does His sheding of The Blood cleanse us from all sin?

Beloved Our brother Jesus' does indeed cleanse us all from sin, but we must understand that He CHOSE TO PARTAKE in what WE GO THROUGH EVERY DAY! He TASTED death for us. He sampled it for only 3 days and 3 nights, while (speaking as a man) my father has been in the grave going on two years now! This is the shadow we live in.

I don't have to use a ton of verses thanks to Abiding. So in short, all men is appointed to die once and
there is NO way around this! The old man of sin is literally cut off at death. Everything; his love, hate, his knowledge will pass away. We are the daily sacrifices in the law of God as it is written, for His sake we are killed all day long.

Those who have become the firstfruits of God understands this principle that we all are the same in death. There is no rapist, no murderer, no thief or coward, no gay or straight in the grave.

Jesus said that those who would seek to save their lives will lose it (again all die), and anyone who loses his life for His sake will find it.

Again, my father is dead. To now hold on to him as my father would be me attempting to hold on to MY life. Why? Because even being my father died with him!

God said that He will remember sin no more. That can only happen in death as the wrath of God is continually revealed from heaven against all ungodliness. We being in His image will not remember it as well. To remember my father or recognize him for that matter, would mean to remember the good AND the bad. Sin cannot passover as ALL things will be made NEW. The man I knew as my dad is gone as he is become my brother. If I were naive enough to pose a question such as this when I passover,I would then be pointed toward ALL THE HOST OF HEAVEN and told that these are your father or brother, or sister or mother!

God is destroying death by what else, death that through the One who tasted death for us all, we may live for God forever more.

Israel you quoted this: Jesus said that those who would seek to save their lives will lose it (again all die), and anyone who loses his life for His sake will find it.
When do any person find this life Jesus talks about? When do we FIND everlasting life? This flesh has to go to dust, but you are not the flesh! This is what I CANNOT understand... You people make as if this flesh has it's own will! And Israel your father is not the flesh he occupied! Your Father is the Spirit and soul of the man IN THE FLESH! The flesh is just a vessel, like a boat!

A boat the hull part is the body, the motor is the soul that gives the body life, but the SKIPPER is the spirit that STEARS the boat. The boat is just a vessel. This flesh is only a body of bones and blood, and the soul and spirit gives it life and purpose. That purpose can be for GOOD of BAD! Choice! The Spirit makes the CHOICE!

Please people sin is a choice! And not sinning is also a choice! Plain and simple as that! The blood of Jesus is not going to wash ALL sin from EVERYBODY! Some does not want to be cleansed! And other wants to, but not really! Others think they are washed! All these people is described in the Bible! Who do you think portrays to from Christ, but are actually from the spirit of the anti-Christ? There are more people from the spirit of the anti-Christ than from Christ! God says so Himself!

Only thosd that can CONFESS that Christ is in them are from Christ! If you think confession is TALK, you have a BIG surprise coming! A matthew 7 surprise! But if your life CONFESS Christ, is in you, THEN you are a witness for God! Not in talk... Talk is cheap money buys the whiskey, is it not?

Anyway, Our life everlasting is given to us HERE on earth before we enter into the REST! I really believe that our gift of the Holy Spirit is a spiritual swop that takes place when we pass through the blood! God says... if a man be in Christ he is a NEW CREATURE... old things ARE PASSED, behold EVERYTHING is become new! EVERYTHING! Perfect! Do not stop searcing God's will until you find this EVERYTHIN HAS BECOME NEW!

MAy God bless you with HIS SPIRIT!

i really did not say or mean any of the things you stated above concerning no more life \ grace after the cross.

Salvation is nothing of ourselves, it is a gift of God. We just have to believe and receive it as little children and by believing we obey the commandments of Jesus (Love God, love thy neighbor)...that's pretty much it Cobus.

We do receive the Holy Spirit but we are still in the flesh which is in continual battle with each other (Galatians 5:17)

....and it's a daily battle (1 Corinthians 15:31)

Did Paul not say he was a wretch man? He surely struggled with the flesh even after been born of the Spirit, so how can we say any different?

It's Him (God) that calleth not him (man) that willeth.
...because He is able.

Hope you receive this with an open heart.

That's right, Salvation is not of our selves, it is a gift of God.

People are weak and not capable of living a sinless life by his or her own power, to think otherwise is delusional.

It is only through the Grace of Jesus Christ alone that we are Saved and able to live Godly lives.

If there is nothing that we must do in order to attain salvation then why did Paul say, " Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" - Philippians 2:12.

There are two verse within Scripture that tell us how to get into Christ.
"For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ" - Galatians 3:27.

"Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?
Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life" - Romans 6:3, 4.

Notice these Scriptures plainly say that one is Baptized into Christ.

Yes Christ shed is blood for the sins of many but that does not mean that there is nothing for us to do. We must be obedient to His will, and His will is for us to be baptized into Him.

One must take the over all Biblical teaching of the Bible, not pick and choose the verses that one wants to use.

He shed His blood so that all might have the hope of eternal life. That is God's desire but unless one becomes obedient to what He wants done then He will not save that person.

Even in the OT the people had to be obedient to His will. They had to sacrifice the animals that He commanded. That was His will, but if they did not sacrifice them then they were not being obedient. There was something that they had to do, same with the sacrifice of Christ. Christ was the sacrifice but if we do not choose to partake of the great gift then we are not being obedient. We are obedient because we do what He asks.

Hear Romans 10:17.
One must believe John 8:24, Hebrews 11:6.
One must Repent Acts 2:38; 2 Peter 3:9.
Confess Matthew 10:32, 33; Romans 10:9, 10.
Be baptized Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15, 16; Acts 2:38; 1 Peter 3:21.
Live faithfully Revelation 2:10.

Someone will say but this verse say but this verse says faith, or this verse says grace, and so on.

Let me ask this question which disciple cut off the servant of the High Priests ear when they came to get Jesus?
I ask this question because you must look at the different gospel accounts to find the answer. The same is true with being salvation, when you take the overall Biblical teaching you can come to the proper conclusion. Different people were told different things becuase they were at different points in their life.

Some had already heard so all they need to be told was repent and be baptized.
If you read through the book of Acts there are two things that are common with all conversion accounts.
Preaching and Baptism.
