Psa 97:1 KJV The LORD reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof.

Psa 97:2 Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne.

Psa 97:3 A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about.
Psalm 2 is sufficient as well
By the way, who are HIS enemies?

Shall we return to the topic at hand which is the Olivet Discourse?

There are certain things to suggest that it certainly was speaking of local issues, such as the fact that He specifically mentions Judea, fleeing to the mountains, praying that it should not happen on the Sabbath and so forth.

However once we reach verses 29-31 in Matthew 24 they can for sure be put in a future setting. There are countless of interpretations to the Olivet Discourse, ranging from its all fulfilled to none of it is fulfilled to all is fulfilled until verse 35 and from then on Jesus is speaking about the Second Coming.

Am I allowed to offer a counter response to any of the posts I choose?
Or will this also be a controlled "discussion"?

In light of your statement, please expound the following:

John 14:

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17Eventhe Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.18I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 19Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. 20At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.21He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 22Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

John 17:

I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. 7Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. 8For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. 9I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. 10And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. 11And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. 12While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.13And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.14I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 15I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 16They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.18As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. 19And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
Sure. The world can't recieve the Holy Spirit because they are carnal.

John 14 - In a little while the world wouldn't see Jesus any more, but the disciples see him because he is with them and they never stop seeing him per the verses that follow. When he leaves, those that love him will see him, not his physical body but his spritual body - the scripture, and he will manifest himself to them/us through his word. That's why I'm KJV only, the Spirit of Jesus is manifest in that book.

John 17 is self-explanitory isn't it. God's people are in the world but not of world, they belong to Christ, they are sanctified or rendered worthy of respect through the word of God.

A necessary prerequisite to the construction of the periodic table was the discovery of the individual elements. Although elements such as gold, silver, tin, copper, lead and mercury have been known since antiquity, the first scientific discovery of an element occurred in 1649 when Hennig Brand discovered phosphorous. During the next 200 years, a vast body of knowledge concerning the properties of elements and their compounds was acquired by chemists (view a 1790 article on the elements). By 1869, a total of 63 elements had been discovered. As the number of known elements grew, scientists began to recognize patterns in properties and began to develop classification schemes.

Mat 24:16 KJV Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

Mat 24:34 KJV Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till ALL these things be fulfilled.

It tells you right there when ALL those things would happen - the generation that heard him speak.

Comparison verses from Luke:

Luke 21:20 KJV And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

Luke 21:21 KJV Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.

Luke 21:22 KJV For these be the days of vengeance, that ALL things which are written may be fulfilled.

ALL means all, not some or part of all.

"when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies" - 66-70 AD war with Rome.

(Acts 3:24 KJV) Yea, and ALL the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.

"These days" were "them" days not something 2000 years and counting later.

Acts 2:16 KJV But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

Acts 2:18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

Acts 2:19 And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

Acts 2:20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

Peter stated that ALL of those things spoken of by the prophets were spoken of "these days", the days he was living in - Joel was prophet right?

Then Joel also spoke of "these days"..the "last days" not last centuries.

Yes, you are.

These days was a 7 year period between AD67-73 called the Wrath.

Last days are the time between Jesus first and second Coming

Sure there's an end to the world, and it ended when the gospel came. The world isn't the earth, and it isn't "an age", it's "human existence, the affairs of life"... wordly meaning secular or carnal. That world ended when Christ came.

When we understand what "world" REALLY means, the verses below take on a whole DIFFERENT meaning... and I thank you very much for bringing this to my attention because I didn't know that until you caused me to find out what world really means! :)

Matthew 24:14 KJV
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Matthew 13:39 KJV
The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

Matthew 13:40 KJV
As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

Matthew 13:49 KJV
So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,

Matthew 24:14 KJV
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

John 12:31 KJV
Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
In light of your statement, please expound the following:

but division did come because CHRIST came into the world

HE said I did not come to bring peace (though for those who have been gathered to andvour pf yhe workd who are seated in the heavenly realms with and in CHRIST JESUS. there is peace)

just not as the world understands

Hebrews states Jesus appeared and spoke in the last days - "last days" had a specific meaning to the Israelites:

Heb 1:1 KJV God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

Heb 1:2 KJV Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.

John states he was living in the last hour of the last days:

1 Jo 2:18 (Young's Literal) Little youths, it is the last hour; and even as ye heard that the antichrist doth come, even now antichrists have become many -- whence we know that it is the last hour

Matthew 24:29 KJV
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

According to Peter the sun, moon and stars happened BEFORE "whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved" happens.... that's the calling of the gentiles.

Acts 2:16-21 KJV
But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; [17] And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: [18] And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: [19] And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: [20] The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: [21] And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Look:

It is the same formula repeated by Peter that Jesus uses.

First the end of the Old Covenant, THEN the Coming of Christ.

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, -- = end of old covenant Israel

before that great and notable day of the Lord come: == Second Coming Of Christ

it is so simple, why the confusion?

The only uncertainty is the gap, duration, between the two events, which of course is an UNKNOWN, except Peter said well actually it might be rather a long time.

Of course, close inspection of Daniel and revelation will tell us this, but otherwise it is just a gap, indeterminate.

World's Most Major Events

1) The Flood
2) Destruction Of Sodom & Gommorrah
3) Destruction Of Jerusalem

No2 - Message to Entire World that God does not like homosexuality. Why so powerful a message? Because Sodom was the World trade centre in its day. On the crossroads of trade in the Middle East. So everyone got that message

Same with Jerusalem. Jews were scattered throughout the world. Rome was the World Trade Centre. All roads lead to Rome. So when Rome destroyed God's capital, because of the unbelief of the Jews, the message went round the World. Same as Romans 1:8

So everyone was in total shock and awe. The God of Israel is serious. This Jesus man is serious. God has destroyed the people who killed Jesus. Get it?

[quote] And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke: [20] The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: [21] And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. The problem with your theory is that, though Peter quoted Joel regarding the reason for their speaking in languages, that part of the scripture listed above has yet to be fulfilled. He was just quoting, but there is no record of the above having taken place.

In addition, the above scripture is referring to the 6th seal, which means that prior to that, at the 4th seal, a fourth of the earths population would have had to have been killed. Also, if the 6th seal had taken place during Peter's time, then the world would have most surely experienced the trumpet and bowl judgments, which also have not take place.

All of these events of wrath are yet future, including Peter's quoting of the last part of Joel, which is the 6th seal. Your interpretation stems from not understanding the severity of God's coming wrath via the seals, trumpets and bowl judgments and that they are to take place in conjunction with Christ's literal return to the earth to end the age and the establishing of His literal kingdom on this earth.
