So you don't know what I'm talking about, huh?????

Yeah, I guess that is kind of rude of me so let me start out first by saying....

Hi, how are you?

"How High are you?"

I think theres a report button, if you have been offended
I don't get offended.
I find ad hominem attack to be cheap and of low character. I then wonder what value a person of such low quality conversation brings to a Christian discussion forum? If this is how they present themselves, is anything they say about spiritual or theological things trust worthy? I think not. If one desires to inform others of the truth or in other words teach, then I think the instructions to Timothy would to some degree apply.

No value? no regenerate spirit? no Holy Spirit? Is Jesus a fool to sacrifice himself for that which has no value? Is God's love like ours that he loves foolish and worthless idol things. That he placed his image on the worthless, there by defacing himself?
I think there is great value in that which God himself has given his own image, and bought with a hefty price, and placed his own seal upon, a poured his spirit on.
Maybe a person who God has placed such a value on should consider himself and honor what has been given to him.

yes you make good point, was it only once he was drunk or did he taste the wine more than once who knows it’s doesn't say. but does killing one person or 10 is there a difference in the sin.
he obviously knew how to make wine already. he planted the vineyard.

makes sense to me that he was drinking wine before he even built the ark -- and he is still called righteous

as for how often he drank so much to become drunk? who knows. hard to imagine this was the first time. but the Bible doesn't describe it as sin - it just presents it as a factual detail of a more important event being described, and Ham is the one who ends up being cursed from the shakeout of that event.

within this event is a picture of Christ, too, if we can figure it out .. ?

Ham is the one who ends up being cursed
sorry, Canaan, Ham's son.
Ham does something. it gets his son cursed. what in the world is that?

if we can figure it out .. ?
Shem & Japheth take a garment on their shoulders and carry it backwards in, to cover Noah -- and they are blessed for it. the blessing includes the subjugation of Canaan to them.

who carries a garment on their shoulders, and walks so that they do not see the shame of the one they cover with it?

what does that mean?

((yeah, literal meaning is clear. but what does it really mean?))

"It is a simple matter for the shadow to go forward ten steps,"
said Hezekiah.
"Rather, have it go back ten steps."

MOST people would reject and then scream racists if we actually stated the facts about this curse and the fruition of this curse.................and it has been literally fulfilled.......!!!

Proverbs 17:9 He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth [very] friends.

The record indicates that Ham told his brothers. Some commentaries indicate that in telling his brothers, Ham mocked his father.

Shem and Japheth showed great love and respect for Noah in going in backwards to avoid seeing the nakedness of their father.

1 Peter 4:8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

1 Corinthians 13:

4 Charity suffereth long, [and] is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth,

7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Ham did not behave charitably (lovingly) toward Noah.

According to the Bible faith is a work .We are saved by Christ's work of faith as a three day labor of his love.

It is the work of God that we can hear and believe God or exercise our new faith towards him .( John 6) Without the working of faith working in us to both will and do His good pleasure we could not move or do anything. He our first love must do the first work of faith in us.

I will no longer respond to ignorance or those willingly ignoring context......this will be my last response to you if you cannot start being honest.

The context is FAITH on our part....it is DEALT in measure BY GOD to men and is a SPIRITUAL GIFT.....NOT a WORK on man's part

GET honest or do not address me as I will no longer respond to ignorance and or a rejection of context and or a denial of truth or skewed truth

Honest about what? The faith of God?

I would be careful with name calling there could be three finger pointing right back in ignorance

Our new faith the free gift coming from his work of faith …. yes. Not of our own self

The context is faith on his part working in us to both will and perform the good pleasure of it. Christ's faith is a work .Don't leave earth without it.

It is not as the other alternative of our imagination of our own heart .A person must be born again. We are born with "no faith" none not a little.. , no understanding by which we could seek after Him .No man of his own volition could seek and find .His word is the light.

He must do the first works by giving us the hearing of His faith .

Some people when they realize God works by faith.... rest in that work .Others say he does not need faith. Completely not understanding what faith is and what it performs as a work.
