Well that means that AD 70 did not fulfill Daniel 12:11.

Daniel 12:11 KJV
And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.
I'll get back to you on this.

I look at it this way.

1-7 weeks (49 years) from the command to the rebuilding
8-69 weeks (434 years) from the rebuilding until Messiah appears to John the Baptist
70th week (7 years) in the middle of this 7 years, Messiah is cut off.

They didn't get their final 3.5 years because they cut Him off prematurely.

The stuff about the Prince and the destruction of the sanctuary and city which ended the Jewish nation were obviously not part of the 70 weeks. Remember Jesus said the only sign they would get is the "sign of Jonah?" Jonah give Nineveh 40 days to repent. God gave Israel 40 years. He's long suffering not wishing any should perish. In 66 AD, he sends Vespasian to Jerusalem. This should have been their warning to repent. He removed Vespasian so that His people could be delivered (to Pella). Then He sent Titus to finish them off. It's really interesting that this took another week or 7 years and in the middle of the 7, He paid them back by cutting off their temple and their supposed path to Him. It all ended 3.5 years later with Masada.
Read verse 9:25 VERY closely.

Daniel 9:25 KJV
Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

The command was to bring RESTORATION (not to the city of Jerusalem) and to BUILD Jerusalem, not to REBUILD Jerusalem. Verse 25 is the command to build heavenly Jerusalem, not earthly Jerusalem. Agree?

Don't be thrown off by the wall and the streets being built again, they are not literal. The TRUE wall that the walls of earthly Jerusalem represents is salvation.

Isaiah 26:1 KJV
In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks.

I've spent about an hour googling Titus setting up the abomination of desolation and I haven't found anything on it other than he led the armies in the siege. Where can I read about this, where does Josephus talk about the abomination of desolation?
Its the result of the time of first century reformation which restored the government of God to another time period when there was no outward representative and men walked by faith in respect to God as our king reigning from heaven. I would suggest restored to the period of the Judges when His word were the counselors by which a person could hear and therefore believe God as he worked in them to both will and perform His god pleasure (imputed righteousness) .

Interesting prospective. That would mean Christ died at the end of Week 69 and not half way into Week 70. That would put the end of Week 69 and the Cross at 30 AD. Rome took a week to destroy the Jews 66-73 AD. Are you now seeing a gap?

Exactly the works of a imputed righteousness, she as the bride of Christ, the church is the Christian bride coming down from heavenly the spiritual Zion made up of many lively stones that does make up the spiritual house of God the church coming down prepared as our Husband Christ‘s wife on the last day. This is when we will receive our promised new incorruptible bodies

And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.

Reckonded as His faithful wife

Isa 1:27 Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her "converts" with righteousness.Isa 1:26

Zion his bride having been redeemed and “her converts” I believe is an aid in helping understand to what it means “the church as the bride of Christ is the mother of us all as a segregate womb ” reflected when Paul said; I labor as in birth paisn until the gospel of Christ be formed in you..(Galatians 4:19)

al 4:26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

He also in another parable in respect to one of his converts in regard to the seed of Christ by which all men are born again from above, uses Timothy in this case. Because we are informed that we are not that in which we will be .Paul under the influence of the Holy Spirit referred to Timothy as a chaste virgin bride that Paul had as if he was a jealous mother espoused Timothy to one Husband, Christ, the head of the church (2 Cor 11:2)

She is also seen in chapter 62 in Isaiah . Using Zion to represent the eternal bride not seen and earthly Jerusalem as that seen the temporal. In that parable we can see that he will not rest until the promised demonstration of the lamb slain from the foundation of the world .....the time of reformation had come, the abomination of desolation had come now that the outward flesh of earthly Jerusalem was no longer needed as shadows and types to point ahead beforehand of our suffering savior.

For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD "shall name". Isa 62:1

God is no longer bringing any new revelations.

The time of the Gentiles as born again members of the bride of is here. The new promised name which the mouth of the LORD did name came at the same time of the reformation. When God and not men named His bride or saints “Christian”, a word that when defined means residents of the city of Christ, the new Jerusalem or called Zion,. named after her founder. Just as the word Philippians means residents of the city of Philippi named after its founder. We are in the lasts days signaled by the renting of the veil, the reformation has come, the antichrists (many) have been revealed. The time of Jacobs (deceiver the usurper) trouble is here.

It is clear from all the ancient writings that the Christian Jews and even secular historians saw fulfillment of Dan 9:27 in 70 AD and that they viewed the Roman armies as abominable. It's clear they caused the desolation, I don't even think VCO could argue with that. But I can't say with 100% certainty that I can tie the 1290 and 1335 days with the ending of the daily sacrifice nor can I say with absolute certainty that something abominable was set up in "the holy place."

However, we have the A of D as the trigger to flee Judea in Mat and Mark but in Luke we have the armies surrounding Jerusalem as the trigger to flee. Does this mean the A of D was the Roman armies? Hegesippus claims they were.

Suffering inside the city really was a 3.5 year event but the final 5 months when Titus returned and really locked the city down, was the worst. So for me, the Great Tribulation began then, at the start of Titus' siege.

I'm continuing to research all of this but it's hard to do on an event 2,000 years ago with limited writings. I am, however, 100% convinced that the 5 month siege was the GT and that the Christians all fled before this started fulfilling the 5th trumpet.

Hello garee,

Believers in Christ, the church, receives their immortal and glorified bodies way before the New Jerusalem comes down out of heaven. For the new Jerusalem doesn't come down out of heaven until this present heaven and earth pass away and God creates the new heaven and new earth. The church will have received her immortal and glorified bodies prior to the tribulation period, prior to God's wrath being poured out. The church will be ruling with Christ during the millennial period in their immortal and glorified bodies.

Amen those walls were used to represent the vail the finished work of Christ . When the veil was rent the walls lost there purpose. Today some are still venrating a form of worship a portion using it as a idol in hope it will be rebuilt and the rent viel retstored. The finished work did not depend on the literal wall but the vail (the temporalry presence of Christ, the Holy of Holies)

Hi Awautukee

My home church where the gospel worked in me as a Christian had a similar view of the end times events as your own self. Our family ties are strained. But it’s not a salvation issue but more to do on how we can hear God through the parables.

In the twinkling of eye on the last day, judgment day for the unbeliever, a new incorruptible body which will be neither male or female neither Jew nor Gentile for the believer. It will occur simultaneously as the new heaven and earth appears and the corrupted vanishes out of sight . Six times in John 6 God used the second and final resurrection in respect to the last day. The day when Christ our husband comes like a thief in the night

The thousand years used in that parable found in Revelation 20 needs a spiritual understanding just as well as the other metaphors used in it, a literal key, a literal bottomless pit, literally beheaded souls that have no literal fleshly bodies, literal mark.e.t.c.

Those who are in Christ who dwells in them are thankful that when they first believed they entered the first resurrection. They will be raised on the last day

Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Blessed are us who have experienced the first resurrection, the hearing of faith.. The second death has no authority over us that are reigning as a kingdom of priests as Ambassadors from a foeign land (the new heavenly Jerusalem) who could be part of that thousands years a metaphor as a unknown amount of time … the whole period of the lasts days.

No condemnation in Christ who has sat in the judgment seat of Christ and was declared guilty. There will be no double jeopardy for the believer, no second judgment. Christ finished all the work necessary to obtain salvation in our place

How many of you premillennials believe in animal sacrifices during the millennium in a temple? Why? What happened to the sacrifice of Jesus once and for all for sins? And do not lie to me and say those are memorial in nature, because Ezekiel is clear that they are sin offerings, it mentions the word clearly, sin offerings, not memorial but sin offerings. Yes I know that blood of bulls and goats could never take away sins, that still does not make any sense as to why have animal sacrifices in the millenium.

Jesus uses the term Abomination of desolation because the people of his day knew what he was referring to. it says in Matthew ''let the reader understand'' because the Jews had a festival connected to it called the Festival of Dedication and it is still celebrated today and known as Hanukkah. The only place in the NT that this festival is mentioned is in John. It is when according to John the Disciples mention the Temple buildings. Luke replaces the Abomination with Armies surrounding Jerusalem because his Gentile readers wouldn't understand the' Abomination' meaning. Jesus uses this event in Daniel as shorthand to prophesy what was going to happen to Jerusalem and the Temple in their generation It is used again by John in Revelation to explain that Jerusalem will be desolated again in a future time before the second coming.

Dedication is held to remember the re -dedication of the Temple by the Maccabees after Antiochus Epiphanes (means God manifested) desecrated it by setting up an idol to Jupiter and sacrificing a Pig on the Altar. When Daniel prophecied this act it was in his future (2nd Century BC)

I think the thing that they ask Samuel for is exactly what they got "A king like the rest of mankind", and that as God explained it was not Samuel they were refusing but in fact God as their king. Other than that they will again seek it,a king and kingdom and will build it and then the one that they are seeking instead of Jesus will come.

That's the thing about 1948 in that any way you look at it it is incorrect and unnecessary and at the same time unfolding in front of us. So what is it and head wounded and healed? Will they receive the one who comes in his own name seeing they do not receive the one who came in his fathers name, John 5:43 ?

Often times I point out that in eschatology many look and cannot find the AOD nor the mark nor the number and that the apostles said to honour the authority over them as if ordained by God Romans 13:1 . And again I point out that if the Jews in ad66-70 did not bow down to Caesar and honour his authority as if ordained by God and did not use his money to buy and sell Revelation 13:17 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Jewish_Revolt_coinage then they (the Jews in ad66-70) did not receive the mark of the beast if it is Rome either.

There are things to be considered even more that is if the eagle's (ensigns) set up by the different legions at the east gate Josephus: Of the War, Book VI (chapter 6) were the AOD then the sign given by Jesus our Lord signalling them to leave is not before the destruction but after and so those who would have paid heed to it would have already perished. The harlot that Titus is suppose to have taken into the Holy place after the temple is destroyed by fire were actually his generals (see 3-7 of same link).

But the point in fact is that if the Jews cast off the Romans money and minted their own then they absolutely did not buy and sell with Rome’s money and if they revolted, rebelled against Rome's authority (Jewish revolt=ad66-70) it cannot be said that they bowed down to the beast(if it's Rome).

Then the issue of Revelation 17:10-12 that is if this was written in ,,,say, ad44 then the beast Rome would need to have one more head rise and then divide into the ten horns between ad42 and ad70 because the scriptures state that 5 were(past tense at the time written) one was,(at the time written) and the 7'th and 8th and the ten horns were all still spoken of as if they would come at an future time(no one is accounting for this)...

There are other things to consider but this is enough for now. I often say I am "outside the camps",that is who would care if one or the other crows in the end if all of the rest of us do not get to join in? I think it much more to consider the matter as if you all are in this camp and that in the end we find what is correct and right and we all are humbled.

Well spoken words Tanakh. History may stick in the gullet for some, but I love it!!

It is used again by John in Revelation to explain that Jerusalem will be desolated again in a future time before the second coming. - where?

But I thought you believed (as I do) that the temple of God is the believer. How could it be Titus when the temple of God is us?
1 Corinthians 3:16 (NASB)
[SUP]16 [/SUP] Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

1 Corinthians was written between 53-54 AD. Therefore, the building known as the TEMPLE OF GOD was still in existence in Jerusalem. GOD DID NOT KNOCK DOWN the TEMPLE when JESUS DIED. He RIPPED the VAIL in front of the Holy of Holies, from the top to bottom, signifying that men could NOW come directly to the Father with their prayer requests and worship. THEREFORE, the spiritual dwelling place is our Bodies, and the HALLOWED, physical place of PRAYER and Worship is the Building in Jerusalem.

1 Kings 9:1-3 (KJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished the building of the house of the LORD, and the king's house, and all Solomon's desire which he was pleased to do,
[SUP]2 [/SUP] That the LORD appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared unto him at Gibeon.
[SUP]3 [/SUP] And the LORD said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

Your twisted THEOLOGY, makes GOD a LIAR. SHAME ON YOU!

Mark 11:17 (KJV)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.

THAT verse 1 Corinthians 3:16, IS TALKING ABOUT THE SPIRIT OF GOD's spiritual DWELLING PLACE within the BORN AGAIN Believer, when that person has gotten down off the throne of his or her own life, and given that throne to JESUS CHRIST out of LOVE for HIM.

The TEMPLE OF GOD is also a building where GOD CAN BE WORSHIPED, and shall be known as The House of Prayer, and WHERE the KING of Kings will take His Seat, on the Throne of David and Reign for a thousand years here on earth.

That is ALSO where the Antichrist will sit for 3.5 years, demanding to be worshiped as GOD.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-5 (KJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
[SUP]2 [/SUP] That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
[SUP]3 [/SUP] Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; {Judas was the Satan possessed disciple, and this will be the Satan possessed Ruler over the Revived Roman Empire.}
[SUP]4 [/SUP] Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
[SUP]5 [/SUP] Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

I've cooled off a bit from all the madness and confusion so it's time to return!

Lets see now, Josephus quotes going down oh WHYYYYY did i come back WHYYYYYYYY. Come on PlainWord can't you quote some other historians?

Lemme try to hit yall up with something: Daniel 12:1-2. These two passages are fairly simple, first you have the end times tribulation during which Michael will protect Israel, then you have a resurrection occuring.

Now since we know the resurrection aint happened yet, we can be sure that the tribulation hasn't happened yet either, ESPECIALLY when Jesus said that its gonna be:

Matthew 24:21-22

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

Now we know this aint happened because a bunch of worse stuff has happened since 70A.D. including two World Wars, the holocaust, crusades, the islamic invasion and the Golden State Warriors winning with a ton of all-star players and so on and so forth.

Those days "shortened? is this in reference to the grain offering where the priest added or lessoned the Hebrew calender an month to so the people would know when to return the next year? If so then the grain would be over ripe if it was not done?
