You are not getting a better understanding...you are getting a new age religion approach to God's word....not kosher, because it slants the true meaning of the Bible to a deception point through the changing of His intent.
Those following such approach will be held accountable.
New age, that's just a diversion. I know what the word of God says. I do my own studies and I look at all translations, including the Interlinear. That's gonna work on me.

Hello again, RubyTuesday!

With the increase of knowledge, the fact that the technology for the mark of the beast is here and has been evolving. And the fact that there is no more fear of God in the world with everyone eagerly embracing the sinful nature, I most assuredly believe that the tribulation, i.e. the time of God's wrath is at the doorstep. That said, that also brings us closer the event of the Lord's appearing to gather His church, which must take place prior to said wrath, which is initiated by the opening of that first seal rider on the white horse which is symbolically representing the revealing of the antichrist.

It use to be that there was reverence and a fear of God in the world, even among those who did not commit to Him. Now, it's like the floodgates have been opened. People are just running head-long and embracing the sinful nature. They've forgotten about God and what is coming. I can't begin to image what the world will be like once the Restrainer is taken out of the way and with Him, the church.

Those who are in Christ, as they go from faith to faith, are being transformed into the image of the Lord, which is the fruit of the Spirit. Those who have not believed in Him, are going in the exact opposite direction and are bearing fruit from the sinful nature.

When we read about idol worship in the OT, we think of graven images. Putting that into perspective for today, everyone who is not in Christ is an idolater, because with them everything in their lives is before God. Their graven images are the works of mankind, i.e. the products of mankind, cell phones, tv's, cars, gaming systems, etc., etc., which are the things that the world idolizes. Scripture even states that greed is idolatry. Anything and everything that comes before God, being first in a persons heart, is idolatry.

"Put to death, therefore, the components of your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed, which is idolatry." - Colossians 3:5

In addition, we have a world-wide drug problem. What many don't know is that, the word 'pharmakeia' which is where we get our English word pharmaceuticals from, is defined as 'the use of medicine, drugs or spells' and which is translated in scripture as sorcery, magic arts or witchcraft. Therefore, many who are using drugs whether recreationally or are addicted to, are involved in sorcery/witchcraft, even though they may not be having anything to do with enchantments or casting spells.

So yes! We are on the cusp of the church being gathered, followed by God's time of wrath which will close on all of the inhabitants of the earth like a trap.

yes, the Bible says everyone will see him.

but, if return of Jesus everyone see him ,then why Matthew 24:44 Luke 12:40

John 20:29

Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

What we need to do now is to prepare for Lord,

Not to argue about the meaningless doctrine of men.

May the Lord reveal all of these mysteries to you.

=============================================
As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
========================================================================

So since the 'one taken' group is being compared to those in the flood who were 'taken away' then it cannot be speaking about the righteous being gathered at the rapture. Those who are left will be the remnant of the great tribulation saints who will have made it alive through the entire tribulation period. These along with Israel, will be those who will enter into the millennial kingdom and repopulate the earth. The one's left are also mentioned in Matt.24:31 where the angels will gather the elect from the four corners of the earth and will bring them to the Lord. Many interpret this as the gathering of the church as well, but these are living people that the angels will be gatherings. Note: when the Lord comes to gather His church, angels do not gather us, but will be changed into our immortal and glorified bodies, in power. When that voice that sounds like a trumpet says, "come up here" then we will be changed and caught up to the Lord. No angels involved in that one, except for the voice of the archangel.

I was reading in Luke today and I saw this:

Luke 17:37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

This is what the disciples were asking Jesus after he explained about how the "one will be taken, the other left" (paraphrasing.) Luke 17:22-36.

I remembered how the prophets told the people that the bodies would pile up in the field and out in the open and the birds (fowls of the air) and the beasts of the field would feed on them. There are other numerous references by the prophets about the "eagle" or other bird would be present where the bodies are.

This lends more support directly to your statement that those "taken" are in fact the ones taken for death as opposed to be taken in a rapture. Because the disciples asked the Lord "where?" And he mentioned where the eagles were. So, the grisly picture of dead bodies being devoured by creatures is where the ones "taken" are going.

I wasn't sure what you were saying was correct about righteous and unrighteous being gathered, but that Bible verse does comport with what you explained. I can see your point in the scriptures. So, I wanted to point that out to you for the next person you have to convince. :)

You got it!

Below is what Jesus was talking about when He said, "Wherever there is a carcass (dead body) there will the vultures (birds) gather together." - Revelation 19:17-18

"Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out in a loud voice to all the birds flying overhead, “Come, gather together for the great supper of God, so that you may eat the flesh of kings and commanders and mighty men, of horses and riders, of everyone slave and free, small and great.”

Revelation 19:11-21 is a detailed account of when the Lord returns to the earth to end the age and establish that thousand year period, the millennium. As this is taking place, the angels will go throughout the four corners of the earth and will gather the weeds (wicked) who will have made it alive through God's time of wrath and will bring them back to the Lord, where they will be killed by that double-edged sword, which is symbolically representing the word of God.

yes, the Bible says everyone will see him.
the Bible says The day he returns is the day to judge the world,Judgment day

but, if return of Jesus everyone see him ,then why Matthew 24:44 Luke 12:40
Matthew 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
Luke 12:40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

Exclusion method
1.not everyone shall see him on earth.
2.the Bible says everyone will see him. so not on earth but where ?. the Bible says The day he returns is the day to judge the world,Judgment day.
3.there is only one way to everyone see him, will be tried in Judgment day.

Acts
Chapter 7

53 Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.

54 When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.

55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,

58 And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul.

59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

Hi Soberxp,

The word 'anastasis' translated as 'Resurrection' means to 'stand up again in the same body.' Jesus is our example of this. His body was in the tomb and His spirit was in Sheol/Hades. When it was time, His spirit returned to the same body that was in the tomb and He stood up again in that same body. At the time of the resurrection of the church, all of those spirits who have died in Christ will be reunited with their bodies which will be resurrected immortal and glorified. Those who are still alive when the resurrection takes place, will simply be transformed into their immortal and glorified bodies and caught up with those who will have just resurrected. All of that said, the resurrection always has to do with the same body standing up again.

As an example, if say a believer died the day before the resurrection and it was lying on the coroners table, when that resurrection took place the next day, that body would no longer be laying on that table, because his spirit would have returned to his body and would have been caught up to meet the Lord in the air.

It is only at the time of death that the spirit departs from the body and awaits the resurrection from heaven.

anástasis (from 303 /aná, "up, again" and 2476 /hístēmi, "to stand") – literally, "stand up" (or "stand again"), referring to physical resurrection (of the body).

Christ's physical resurrection is the foundation of Christianity, which also guarantees the future resurrection of all believers (see Jn 6:39,40,44).

[386 /anástasis ("resurrection") refers to the physical, bodily resurrection of Christ – and people (both of the redeemed and the unredeemed).]

Coming in judgment? ( I believe in a lesser way this is true for people for all time the Lord may come and they may die, so be ready all the time)

Coming in salvation? (Only with the Thesalonians resurrection)

I personally think the text is referring to the "day of the Lord" as one physical pinpoint day.

God's long-suffering until the day of Wrath

no one receives the Judgment of God that they deserve in this life, which is why the wicked are able to flourish but it's temporary
Well I am not sure that the Day of the Lord has one single application.
It is used to describe any time God moves in judgment. E.G.

Eze 30:3
For the day is near, even the day of the LORD is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen.

This passage has nothing to do with the rapture though OR. It is about escaping the destruction of Jerusalem. Left = left to destruction. Same in all the metaphors

It's actually a bit odd trying to squeeze the reverse meaning into it.

Lot was clearly taken to safety.
Noah and family were clearly taken to a place of safety.

Lot's wife decided to run back for something. It would seem logical to suppose that something like 'keep going, leave her' was said to Lot

Dead bodies if not buried are left to rot in the sun.

Eagles, buzzards, hawks and the l like are carnivores which specialize in carrion, decaying meat.

The saying is a warning to beware of those who will attack the Body Members to devour them.

Where ever the Body is, there also will be the eagles. A good example, a forum on the Word.

I think comparing the bride of Christ to a dead rotting carcase is
horrific.
