You seriously think Ezekiel 36:27 describes "unmerited favor"? That verse doesnt say ANYTHING about forgiveness, mercy, or anything like that. Try reading the verse a few more times with a heart and mind that seeks truth.
"And I will put My Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and ye shall keep My judgements, and do them." -Ezekiel 36:27
^^I'll ask you again: do you seriously think that verse is describing 'unmerited favor'? If so, you have hardened your heart to the truth, and are missing out on the most phenomenal experience and calling that has ever and will ever happen to a man in the history of the earth.
God lives in me and HE IS THE ONE THAT CAUSES ME TO WALK IN HIS STATUTES, KEEP HIS JUDGEMENTS, AND DO THEM.

You have completely misunderstood what it is that defiles a man, which would explain why you continue living as a "vile rat" and will be judged for being as such, receiving the reward of unrighteousness. What defiles a man is born within a mans heart, which is sin that a mans heart creates if his heart is uncircumcised/ unrepentant.
I used to be a vile rat just like you, but I have been cleansed of all unrighteousness and sanctified by the Spirit of God that lives in me and leads me in this world. I no longer walk the way I did in times past which was according to the prince of the power of the air in the lusts of our flesh and by nature a child of wrath. But our incredible God who loves us so very much has quickened my mortal body by His Spirit that lives in me, which causes me to walk in His statutes and live holy.
Grace is Grace, a pardon' from our 'past-ignorant-sins', and Grace is Grace', upon conversion',
blessedly, lovingly bestowed upon us, and for us by our Holy Saviour's Loving/Living Sacrifice,
Who is sitting on the right hand of God, on His Holy Throne, as our Intercessor, every moment,
humbly asking His Father to 'forgive' us of the sins which we hate and 'repent of' and are putting
all of our efforts in 'over-coming what He demands; we are only living to be counted worthy
to 'walk in the Love of His Light along side of Him...
a priviledge/gift that He has chosen us for, for His very own reasons?
Hay, we're not questioning Him for His reasons, like we used to when we were so new
in our calling...it's TOTAL TRUST and FAITH, and ASSURANCE now...oh what a long
and hard road it has been, but oh so worth every minute of it!
