Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Which end was Jesus speaking of?
The end times when He shall return to earth and establish His 1000 Year kingdom..

And how come the Bible tells us the kingdom was ALREADY preached in all the world a couple of thousand years ago? Yep, it says that in black and white.

Jesus answered that the day would come when not one of these stones would be left standing upon the other--and Jesus was right. In A.D. 70 the Romans, finally exasperated by the rebellious intransigence of the Jews, gave up all attempt at pacification and turned to destruction, and Jerusalem and the Temple were laid waste so that Jesus' prophecy literally came true.

Here speaks Jesus the prophet. Jesus knew that the way of power politics can end only in doom. The man and the nation which will not take the way of God are heading for disaster--even in material things. The man and the nation which refuse the dream of God will find their own dreams shattered also.

[SUP]7 [/SUP]Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door. James 5:7-9

Hmmmmm....

Who is the book of James addressed to? The twelve tribes scattered abroad.
When will the twelve tribes be scattered abroad? During the great tribulation.
When is the Judge standing before the door? At the end of the great tribulation.

Let's read the next few verses in James 5...

10 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

Why should the "twelve tribes" look to Job for comfort? Job pictures the Jew in great tribulation, yet his end is far better than the beginning. Job's 42 chapters pictures the 42 months (3.5 years) of great tribulation. If the Jew endures through the great tribulation, the end result will be the Millennial reign of Christ.

The previous verse says:

But he who endures to the end will be saved.

I think this is a discussion about how it is the Lord’s wish that we mature as time goes by. There are times in life when our maturity serves us well - even gets us out of difficult situations.

This post is just TERRIBLE. i cant stand it.
1st of all, the original text does not have chapter numbers or verse numbers, its all just a wall of text.
2nd of all, book of James was written to people in THAT DAY AND AGE, not to someone living 2000 years afterwards, this is absolutely absurd, why would you mail a letter to a bunch of people 2000 years in advance, and the tribes scattered abroad are the JEWS who lived in places outside of Jerusalem like the ones in Thessalonica etc. etc.

THIS IS RIDICILOUS WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

(PS. I thought jews being gathered in Israel was a sign of the end times, not them being "scattered abroad" lol.)

Are you saying that none of the Bible is written to us? Is any part of the Bible written to the future? I believe it's called prophecy...

PS: during the great tribulation, otherwise known as Jacob's trouble, the twelve tribes will be scattered because of persecution.

book of james is not a prophetic book.... its a book written to people 2000 years ago, instructing them in righteousness, doctrine and behavior.

The address does not afford it be written to "Jewish Christians." When Scripture uses the term "twelve tribes" it is always a reference to the entire nation of Israel and never to a called out group. Ever.

Heaven and earth will not pass away, until all has been accomplished

there are still enemies of THE CROSS

And Heaven and earth will not pass until the full numbers in CHRIST are complete

why dis you think THE GOSPEL is preached?

Point is, the "end times" have been going on for a long time.
The gospel was preached in Jesus' time as well, and He said the end was near. 2000 years ago.

Daniel 12:4
"But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased"

Talk about Prophecy coming true!

Who can argue with that?

The Gospel was preached in Jesus' time? What do you mean by that sir? Men knew their sins separated them from GOD and they were waiting for GOD's SALVATION in HIS PROMISED MESSIAH

They just didnt recognize that the MESSIAH's ministry was different than what they were expecting

Who is the book of James addressed to? Yes, the Twelve Tribes; or his fellow Jewish Christians scattered thru-out the world in the first century. He is concerned with preserving a connection between his Jewish heritage and the movement begun by Jesus.
