Jesus said go and sin no more, these magicians say you cant, but yet they promise others liberty..How can that be? And of course they never describe what sins that cant stop...If they could stop sinning would they even want to? They have been under the lie for 500 years ever since Luther's marvelous discovery of the faith alone myth and go and sin some more..

Don't believe the feigned words of man's maligned wisdom, but follow the truth in Jesus, for He can TAKE AWAY sin when one comes to the mercy seat of God in all sincerity, having no guile, having ceased from rebellion.....One would think that these wizards know all 7 billion people...Sin comes natural to them so they in their wildest imagination cannot comprehend a morally upright righteous man like Job..They will still call him a sinner..How vulgar and distasteful...There so ignorant they don't even know what the word sinner means in the text........God sends false prophets to test you and prove you...
Go and sin no more pertains to showing thanks to God for the free gift of salvation He has given; it does not pertain to losing salvation. It is a statement of rejoicing in God's love, not a threat regarding His wrath. Why is that so difficult for some folks to comprehend?

Insecurity. Their God is so puny they think he needs defending.
And that's the crux of it right there. Folks underestimate the fullness of God's divinity, omnipotence, omniscience and love.

No you pay attention, Please don't accuse 7 billion people that you don't even know of being sinners like yourself..If thou and thy cohorts believe ye cant depart from the vile sins of the flesh and will always partake of them, then so be it if that's your goal..But don't falsely accuse others, especially people you don't even know...
You revere God, that is easy to see, but you're a sinner.

Is the kingdom made up of sinners or saints...you decide....Job is in the kingdom he was fully persuade that God would raise him up on the last day...Don't even dare to slander such as him and others with labels of being "just another sinner". Blasphemy, may God forbid such foolishness.
Its not an either/or answer, it's an and/both answer. We saints still sin from time to time. Doesn't mean we're not saints, but it damn sure means we're not sinless. That includes you.

Hi Willyb: You can have the best of intentions not to sin and end up sinning anyway. James 3:2 in many things we offend all, James put himself in that group. Hebrews 12: let us lay aside the sin which does so EASILY beset us, the writer of Hebrews placed himself in the group that is so easily beset with sin. The Holy Spirit will convict you of sin on a daily basics, it is not possible for a Spirit indwelt believer to actually think that they never sin.

You sitting back in your chair in your smoking jacket with your glasses down at the end of your nose, pointing your crooked finger at people who love Jesus and who He calls his children, is as disgusting and sinful as it gets. You better repent from that one.

Try falling into the grievous sins that will disqualify one from the kingdom for a season and see how that works out for you...You use your own words against yourself and condom yourself, I don't condemn you..I can only go by your testimonies that you all sin everyday in thought word and deed..You heap condemnation upon yourselves and don't even know it..You judge yourselves to be unworthy of the kingdom...Unless you are speaking of sins of ignorance, mistakes in judgment because nobody is perfect in knowledge, moments of doubt like Zacharias , moments etc.....Or again do you mean you continue on in the vile sins of the flesh that Paul said would disqualify one from the kingdom? Please be through and explain what you mean when you call yourselves sinners...The word "sinners" in the text means partakers of iniquity, given over to a reprobate mind, surely you are not saying this of yourselves? Or are you? And may God forbid, but if you are, please don't accuse others that don't partake of such folly, Ezekiel said that its an abomination to God to call a righteous man a sinner..
News flash! No one is worthy of the Kingdom. What don't you understand about this? That's exactly why our redemption through Jesus is all at the foot of the Cross.

No sir, not the wilful rebellious sins of the flesh. In obedience to Christ Jesus the saints are delivered from such vileness never to return to the dogs own vomit..The Prodigal son never went back to the pig pen of wilful sin and rebellion. The flesh is just that, sarx, it habours no mysterious malady, sin has no atomic weight , its what one dose when they are drawn away by lust, then sins is birthed says the apsotle James....Christ always provides a way of escape saith Paul in 1 Cor .10..
So we're all going to hell for masturbating. Bummer.

We have had a few threads lately that reject the fact that as a believer we occasionally fail and sin....The bible speaks to this...the only ones who reject this for the most part are those who

a. Believe they can lose salvation
b. Believe they must do good to keep it
c. Believe they must blend faith, works and be sinless after salvation

The following verses prove that even the most righteous men of the bible failed and sinned or had sin.....those who deny this...are missing the mark....

Daniel was a righteous saved child of God....anyone doubt that? NO
John was a righteous mas whom Jesus loved and an apostle...anyone doubt that? NO
Paul was a righteous man who was saved and wrote almost half the N.T...anyone doubt that? NO

Notice their view under inspiration.

For those who say the saved don't sin......or won't sin.......or are without sin......!

DANIEL
Now while I was speaking and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God in behalf of the holy mountain of my God,

And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God;

JOHN
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

PAUL
O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

For what I am doing, I do not understand; for I am not practicing what I would like to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate. But if I do the very thing I do not want to do, I agree with the Law, confessing that the Law is good. So now, no longer am I the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me.

The only man who was sinless 100% was Jesus...even the most faithful men and women of the bible failed and had sin that they struggled with....the above re all present tense...NOT PAST TENSE......!

For those who say that we advocate a wicked sinful lifestyle because we acknowledge these scriptures.....this is false, misleading and border line lying.........!
And to be honest, most grace believers add "we occasionally sin/don't habitually sin." Because we are going to be ATTACKED and driven into the ground by the argument that we advocate sin.

If we are gaining knowledge of His mind and advancing in His Grace.............the more we notice that we are sinners to the uttermost. We sin ignorantly, we sin habitually, we sin and even like it for a season. Anyone who says, "No way, I have pretty much given up sin and have my sin under control." Is one who has no idea of how sinful we really are and what PERFECTION really is.

Anyone who advanced beyond salvation and the milk.....will admit that they sin habitually, more than occasionally, and know that ignorant sin will be revealed to them as they advance in Grace and knowledge.

I may have most of my overt sins cleaned, and live a life basically free of "known" and "visible " sins. But my thoughts and motivations are not pure most of the time. My sin nature clouds the divine plan God has for me.

If we only sinned "occasionally", this world would be right next to perfect and me having a problem in my life would only happen once every 20 or 30 years.

It makes no sense to this world that the more we advance in His mind and Grace the more we realize just how fallen we are.

This makes no sense at all. Eat drink and be merry for tomorrow we die.

You declare the more you know God the more you know you are sinful, lost, hopeless.
Jesus used words like, that may be one as we are one.
They will know you are my disciples because you have love one for another.

Now a sinner is alone, separate, without fellowship with the Father, at emnity with Him.
But the cross and His resurrection has brought reconciliation between man and God.

Rather than growing further apart we should be growing closer together.

"But my thoughts and motivations are not pure most of the time."

So what are your core objectives and where is your focus. If at the end you
are not reigning with Christ on the your throne, but have other motives and agendas
it is not surprising you seem to be highlighting who is dominating everything.

In John 8:11, Jesus was telling this woman to go and leave her life of sin. She had been practicing adultery. I don't believe that sinless perfection is being taught here. Jesus cannot compromise His perfect, holy standard, so of course, Jesus is not going to say, "go and just sin a little bit."

Those who believe they live a sinless, without fault or defect, flawless, absolute perfect life 100% of the time (exactly as Jesus lived) are suffering from a terminal case of self righteousness (1 John 1:8-10).

What if it were possible? What if the flesh wasn't weak and the spirit still willing? What if in this life it were possible to walk free of sin? If at the very least it is not your desire to be free from sin, and hope to be, have we missed the holiness of God? As much as we make excuses for why we still sin, and make it "okay", what if we thought that its not okay?

I don't mean to express legalistic notions, but sin is still sin. It is vile, despicable, and grotesque. That isn't defining us, but sin in and of itself. As others have mentioned probably, God's grace isn't a license to sin, but if you do sin God's grace is sufficient. This doesn't mean we in any way ought to entertain the lusts of the flesh. According to His word, we are not under sin's dominion.

As pleasurable as sin is for the present moment, it robs us of future joy. No, it robs us of true present joy, lasting joy. First desire, then sin, followed by death. It kills peace, it murders hope, and it slaughters happiness. Sin is an illusion, a trick, that for a second seems to offer pleasure but soon disappears into despair.

Sin ought to be denied in a believer. We are to say no to ungodliness and wordly lusts, as grace teaches us. I am not claiming to be sinless, but pray God, may I be. Righteousness that is desirable. That is pure and to be hungered after. If it is possible to walk this earth at some point to be free of sin may we all attain that goal. If its possible, let us walk in such a way. Only if. Only if. Only if.

If it is not the case, God still sanctifies us. Unto what end? Is it so much to deal with sin or to build character? Who are we? How do we conduct ourselves in practicing love? Are we givers? Do we bring peace where we go? Do we carry His presence with us? Does His light so shine upon us, others may notice a glow? Let God sanctify you, as He will unless you be, as scripture notes, a bastard. You don't even have to be concerned with not sinning at all, or else, but rather rest in Christ knowing fully well that His blood has been shed for you, and through the Spirit you have been made a child of God.

As a child of God, He will chastise and sanctify us. So who cares who claims what as it pertains to perfection? Look in the mirror, see where you stand, and if you desire righteousness cry for God to change you. Pray He sanctifies you, transforming you into the man or woman of God He has so destined you. Don't worry about perfection, let God in His process address the areas He feels you currently need fine tuning. This way you can make peace with the present, and move onward in righteousness.

The kingdom of God is made up of saints who still have a flesh nature while in the physical body that sometimes keeps them from being all that God would have then to be.
AMEN...JESUS even covered this, but flat out rejected under some foolish line of thought like....Jesus had not yet been crucified and the disciples were not saved yet.......blah, blah, blah

The Spirit is indeed willing, but the FLESH is weak....

of course you dont see how arrogant and antichrist this comment is. To put yourself above like this is the same mindset as a rapist and a murderer. So good job.
I like how he misses the mark on the prodigal......forgetting or denying the fact that HE is a SON by birth already that wastes his life and inheritance by riotous living (sin) yet is still received as a son...........and was ALIVE through the whole PROCESS!

Jesus, who started the good work in those who have acknowledged him by faith (biblically) will MOST assuredly bring it to fruition and FINISH what he started.

HE will never leave us NOR forsake us......

HE will lose nothing, but raise it up at the last day......

And the "go and sin no more" was particularly applied unto adultery.......which is often ignored and applied unto believers in a general sense.....

AGAIN...for the 9865745th time.....not one person that I know of on this site who believes in eternal security, salvation dia grace and faith have EVER said it is ok to live a lifestyle of sin...EVER....

We simply acknowledge that BELIEVERS fail and SIN and that we still have a fallen, weak, corrupt BODY of sin that is not subject unto the law of GOD....

Those who deny this are missing the mark....NO ONE but JESUS was and or will ever be without sin.....end of story!

EXACTLY.....they seem to think that if they have not or do not commit adultery, kill, steal or lie like a dog that they are sinless....funny how many places sin in a nice little categorized box......you have your BIG sins, mid-range sins and the little sins that are not sins at all, but just messing up......

Jesus said that if you break one of the least of the commandments of God you are guilty of the WHOLE......

A lie of OMMISSION or even ACCUSING falsely, such as I was above, is just as bad as murder or adultery......end of story!

Absolutely.......Jesus said....YOU that are without sin, cast the first stone.....

Out of that whole group of men and the woman taken in adultery there was only one without sin JESUS and he pre-emptively forgave her and did not condemn her...........
