can lafftur post about "listening with one's heart" here?
Well, when it comes down to the heart.....it concerns choices that are worth fighting for and dying for. When the heart makes a decision, it is all in - no wavering- fully committed.

Even if God slays me, yet will I trust Him because my heart made the decision- NOT my head (mind).

My heart listens to the choices given and makes a decision. Our hearts need to love the Truth. We can know Truth but, we need to love Truth.

But “why” was Jesus Christ crucified?

.......to reconcile us back to the Father....to reunite us back in a relationship with our Heavenly Father that wants to talk to us in the cool of the day and teach us His ways.......this is Christianity....reconciled to our Father because He loves us and refuses to live without us.
Right, that's why I said, "without which, there would be no relationship possible". But I'm afraid too many of us barge into His presence without hardly a thought of 'thanks' for His inestimable sacrifice to make it all possible.

“Did not our hearts burn within us when He spoke?”...........what heart was burning.......

And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
Luke 24:32 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=Luke 24:32&version=KJV

Truth was speaking and the heart (that does not pump blood) was recognizing and loving the Truth.

define "respectfully"

and I am amazed at how God is capable of inspiring great amount of reverence as described in my testimony thread
In the real world it is speaking the truth in love...
Ephesians 4:15 NASBS
[15] but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ,

exactly, lafftur can testify that I experienced God, and ususally we confuse it with mere imagination even though it's real
There is a balance- everything we experience has to be measured against the Word of God - the scriptures- the Holy Bible and the Holy Spirit for clarification and confirmation of Truth.
