The word is a concept to describe the three persons that make up the holy Godhead found in the Bible. One God, three persons - blessed Trinity.

My Bible is no different in spirit from yours. The understanding of God explained by the word Trinity though, that's biblical.

Jesus Christ is NOT God as He is man. Please refer to the Bible Phil 2:6-8; Heb 2:17; Luk 24:39; 1 Joh 4:2; Joh 1:14 and 1 Tim 2:5. Jesus was originally a God with God the Father but became man on this earth. Who died on the cross if Jesus was God, as God cannot die?
I would be careful how I confess the Son of God before men
Matthew 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 16:13-16

King James Version (KJV)

[SUP]13 [/SUP]When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
[SUP]14 [/SUP]And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
[SUP]16 [/SUP]And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

actually godhead isnt the best term
the original word is
divinity

the divinity

that is what the word of God says

divinity is a lot different in apparent meaning than trinity

it sounds like ONE-i-ty
instead of

Three-i-ty

scary for men Im sorry I will stick with divinity if that is ok with you it is more Biblical

1 Corinthians 8:6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

All things of our God the Father, All things by our Lord Jesus Christ. No trinity here

Godhead also sounds like One-i-ty, doesnt it?
Head God sounds like one

it is more accurate than a man made terminology not in the Bible that gives a false impression of being sort of like the pagan god

I believe in the father and the son and the holy spirit

but I am not brahman or pagan so I just get afraid knowing a little hisptry how we used THEIR WORD to discrbe our God

you may not know this

  • "The worship of the one God or Zeus unrevealed, reserved to the priests, was forbidden to the lower classes, but THREE TEMPLES DEDICATED TO THE THREE PERSONS OF THE TRIMOURTI, BRAHMA, VISHNU, SIVA, opened their doors to the adoration of the people, all of whom were allowed to select one of the THREE PERSONAGES OF THE TRINITY they would prefer to worship."

so I dont think God would like to be called the word that is actually used to worship brahman God

do you think God would mind?

would you mind if I called you Dick chainey?

    no biggy, right?

Trinity is afalse doctrine. All the prophets in this world asked people to worship oneGod................But the people changed such teachings,..............God is one.he is the creator. He does not have any son or daughter. He is above such things...........He sent prophets in this world for the guidance of human beings.........since there were humanbeings on earth so he sent prophets(pbut) who were human beings.........

If you deny out Lord Jesus Christ your doctrine is just as false as the trinity

Jesus IS God on the merits of established Greek grammar, all by itself, regardless of your opinion on the matter.

Further, scripture informs the reader that Jesus' flesh died on the cross.

Your pitiful Unitarian understanding of the scriptures is not impressive...

The authors of the Koran were Trinitarian.

And from a biblical point of view Why do you believe it?
Because it makes the most sense of a number of parts of Scripture. Jesus having the authority to forgive sinners, Jesus being involved in creation, Jesus being the subject and object of creation, the Spirit being personified in Scripture, etc. It is a way of affirming there is one God, but also affirming the relationship between the Father, Jesus, and the Spirit, and their relationship with created existence.

For me, the only really important thing in trinitarian thought is that all three, while being different persons and having an internal relationship of actual meaning (as opposed to a purely' imagined' meaning), are all of one substance, that is, the divine essence, because there is only one God.
